This is my first time here. Be prepared to be harassed to tip over 25% -- and when I mean, harassed, I mean cornered by your massage therapist, the front desk lady, and the male manager with your debt card being held hostage unless you tip more. I understand that times are tough for everybody, but asking for over 25% of a tip, then becoming disgruntled and refusing to give me my change or debt card back while and calling Mangement is a very poor reflection of this business and how they treat their employees with their hourly wage if they even get one. The entire experience was very uncomfortable. There's not much privacy so when you're undressing, you better hope that there's not someone walking past cause they can obviously see you through the thin curtains. The environment had roaches in the bathroom. It was rough. The services were OK maybe a 7-8/10. I tipped 20% just to get my debt card back and leave. I won't be coming back here because how awkward, tacky, and unprofessional my experience was. Responding to the "owner" below: I know how to do math. Therapist got 20$ cash (broken from $100) after refusing to accept my 13$ tip. I paid 105$ on my card -- I even went as far as to show your therapist the math on a calculator on my phone to try to communicate the reasoning behind my tipping. You left your therapist out to dry instead of trying to help communicate to her, you walked away. Customary tipping in the United States is between 12-15% aka $12.50 - $15.75. This is supplementally to their hourly wage. Trust me I'm not anti-tipping, I just don't agree with how I was mistreated. For outstanding service: then the tipping would be 15-20%. Which by the way, after you three harassed me your therapist STILL got $20 just for me get out of the establishment -- so good on you for making people feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, your therapist still got what she requested, so remind me what the issue is? Furthermore, $20 USD is equivalent to ¥136.57 CNY and ¥ 3143.71 JPY as of closing today, which is well over what the standard wage within both those economies. Also -- why are we quoting ¥ when I paid in USD -- are customers suppose to be paying in different currency? Totally fine if we are but I was not made aware of that and it seems you and your therapist got a fair compensation per USD and ¥ standards. I'm a business owner too -- and my employees see tips as just extras because of their proper compensation, I do that intentionally so situations like this don't put my customers or employees in an uncomfortable situation. The conversation would have been different if you and your staff weren't so rude. If you read the review thoroughly you would see that the issue wasn't the therapist's service per say. The issue was the following in more detail, since a simple "sorry for your bad experience" is no longer a thing and you've insulted me -- the customer: - it seems like accountability is a new concept to you -- meanwhile you left your therapist to fend for herself with her bad attitude and not knowing how to communicate with the customer. Her desperation for an additional $5 is alarming, which is where the comment of "IF SHE EVEN GETS AN HOURLY WAGE" came from. This whole experience must have been stressful for her too especially without proper training or support. - Interesting how the male client that walked in while I was at the front trying to pay and leave was treated much differently. ALSO, interesting how you felt the need to respond to my review when there was another negative review right below this one. I wouldn't go as far as to say sexist and racist behavior -- but this response shows for itself. - AND be sure to properly display the licenses of your establishment AND your therapists' licenses from the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) at the front of the establishment. "...massage therapists must display their original CAMTC certificate (not a copy) in a conspicuous, public place at their workplace. This is typically in the reception, waiting area, or a visible location at the entrance" THIS IS THE LAW and I certainly didn't see any of the many therapists' state issued licenses anywhere in the common areas. - the questionable working environment with employees napping and bugs in the facility is the least of the issues, although upsetting is fixable. I fear this place has other more important issues to address. - the ATROCIOUS behavior you all exhibited in response and your therapist's harassment. Your defensive response shows for itself, instead of being a keyboard warrior, lead by a better example for your employees. Everything about this experience has been sketchy especially now realizing there weren't proper documentations displayed and your behavior in response thats not warranted. read more

First off, when I called, I'm greeted with a "hello"... not a "Hi, thanks for calling A Luis massage" or even a "how can I help you?" Then I booked an appointment for 8pm. I drove to the place, parked and received a call 5 mins before my appointment saying that it is no longer available?!!? Terrible business practice, will not be going back. read more

What do you do when you have a whole day to yourself? I knew I had to do some shopping, but didn't want to waste the whole day! Yes!!! Get a massage! And only at AnLuis Massage! I requested two hours at the very reasonable price of $105.00. Zoe was outstanding. She worked out the knots from my entire body. Don't know how she can do this for an 8 hour day. She's incredible. Friends tell me that there is no one there that isn't good. I only know Zoe and Wendy. Will probably meet the others as AnLuis is very busy. And for good reason. Great massage for incredibly reasonable prices. See you soon Zoe!!! read more

I kept seeing this small location when I went to the post office and a big sign in the windows says foot massage and having a lot of issues with my feet, I thought why not give it a try? The place is different. It's all Chinese massage reflexology, Reiki and traditional but there are not private rooms, just curtained off sections so I was a little leary at first but it only took me about five minutes to start falling in love with Luis when he was working on my feet. With that being said my hour feet, head, sinus, neck, and sciatic massage was amazing. It was so good that I barely noticed. I was only surrounded by curtains. If you're looking for a great massage on a budget this place is for you. I will definitely be back. read more

Wonderful massage time but, I need more hahaha! They sell oil massage in lavender scent, and wow it is soothing. The place is clean and I feel good afterwards! Loves it and yes, it's cheap and the pressure is acceptable for me! read more

Called same day yesterday to receive a 90 minute deep tissue massage Let me tell you !!! Hong is your guy!! He ensures all knots are out, and has social awareness if something is bothering you. 10/10 would recommend that read more

PROS: + Affordable massages + Private rooms + I came here twice, and on both occasions, the massages were great! + Decent sized parking lot CONS: - Sometimes it's hard to understand what the masseuse is saying. I just say yes (haha) read more

I love this place so much. I have a favorite masseuse but I'm not going to tell you because I'm feeling territorial. Good news though, everyone at this place is a miracle worker..It's a shared room with less privacy then a typcial massage. However, because of that, the prices remain low and the quality high. If your looking for relief for targeted pain on a budget you can not do better. read more

We had a 7:30 PM appointment but weren't taken back until closer to 7:45 PM. We specifically requested to be in the same room together, and while the front desk confirmed and assured us "yes, yes I'll open the room for you," it never happened. During the massage, the stones were extremely hot--so much so that they were painful to the touch. This made it difficult to relax and enjoy the treatment. The most surprising part came at checkout. When I asked if the front desk could pass along our tip, I was told there was a minimum tip of $10-$15 if we "really liked the massage." I was taken aback by this. I've never had a business dictate a minimum gratuity--especially when we were taken back late and the overall experience was not up to the standard we've known here. Tips should always be optional and based on the service received. This left us feeling very disappointed. After being loyal customers for years, it's sad and unfortunate to leave with this impression. read more

Great job. Deep tissue for all the knots in my back was much needed. Will return again. read more

First time getting a massage at this location, let me say this my husband and I had the best massage. Wendy and Lisa was our massage therapists we highly recommend them both. This was one of the best massages I have ever experienced in my life. The atmosphere here is pleasant, and the staff is excellent. The masseuses I encountered were all highly professional, and I received the type of massage service I desired. read more

They give the best massages! The staff always makes sure they check in and ask if the pressure is good or not. They also accept my HSA card!

Always a great and relaxing experience, I'd recommend the Foot massage with water! No particular person to ask for, just be very vocal on how light-hard you'd like to be handled lol read more

Visited this week with my boyfriend and opted for the $50 one hour "popular" massage. Overall a good experience and really was happy that hot stones were included! Nothing fancy but it's clean and priced well. Only cons were that the rooms were a little too bright and my masseuse got body oil all over my handbag... my bag was left on the tiny table which was next to the oils and lotion but there was no other place to put it. Not a huge deal but my bag is definitely a bummer. Other than that, I'd go back! read more

Great massage if you can handle DEEP, HARD kneading. In the masseuse's defense, I did tell her regular level, but she must've had very strong hands because I have a high pain tolerance and even still found myself clenching my butt & legs because of the pressure of her hands and fingers on my lower body. I did mention a couple of times if she could go lighter but perhaps her "light level" was still too strong for me. AnLuis Massage is a simple but clean location with friendly staff. They have very prices and it's not too far from the Cal State Fullerton campus; if you're an athlete or stressed-out professor perhaps this place would be for you. read more

Had to share another review of my fantastic visit. Last night I went in and got a 60 minute Asian Combo Massage. This begins with neck, shoulders and back for 30 minutes - then moves on to feet and legs. But then moves on to a new table, stripped down to your undies and a hot oil/hot rock massage of neck, shoulders, back and lower back. I asked for it to be softer than usual, and my masseuse Jessi was INCREDIBLE!!! She listened and I left feeling really relaxed. I could tell that she knew where the knots and kinks were and worked them accordingly!!! read more

Best massage ever at these massage places. Do worth the $50 + tip. Next time I'll go for 90 minutes. I had a stressful week and decided to get a massage last minute. I called and the lady said they take walk ins. I was greeted right when I walked in. You pay prior to the massage. I selected to do one hour full body but let her know that I want to focus on my neck, shoulder and back. And boy did the masseuse, Lucy, delivered?!!! I go to PT and chiro every week for my neck, shoulder and back, and her pressure and techniques was on point with my doctors. I wanted it to go on forever. Definitely going to be coming back. read more

I've gone to this place twice for prenatal massage. They don't specifically offer it but they are attentive to your prenatal needs (i.e. any fully body/back massage is done side lying). I believe the first time I booked a 90 minute body and foot massage. Then the second time I booked just the foot massage (but even that comes with a scalp/facial and shoulder massage). Like most have said, the foot massage is done separately then the back and body massage is taken to a different table. The masseuses are great and apply good pressure. I feel like my knots are worked great and I feel good after the massage. I wouldn't come here expecting a spa experience though. But if you need anything worked out this place is great! read more

Prices are very fair. I get the full hour when u pay for an hour. They don't cheat u out of a single minute. Perfect.

This was my first time visiting the place and I loved it! Linda was amazing and always made sure I was feeling okay. All staff members are very kind. Will definitely be coming back! read more

Amaaaazing. I love this place!! I had never gotten a massage until my friend brought me to this place. I believe paying $50 for an hour of massage is totally worth it! Today I went in after a stressful month at work and I definitely needed some self care treatment. Peter did an amazing job! Definitely massaged every single area I felt pain. If you're looking into getting a massage ask for Peter. read more

My friend and I were desperate to get a massage and she wanted to try somewhere other than massage envy. Big mistake. To be honest we had very different experiences from each other and I don't have much praise or bad things to say about my massage particularly other than it seemed pretttttyyyyyy lackluster. We both wish we read reviews before jumping the gun and coming here especially in regards to the situations involving tip. My friend hated her massage and honestly the ambience isn't very relaxing. When we were leaving, she finished getting dressed before me so she went to wait up at the front for me to come out. We were being harassed by my masseuse and the front desk woman, they were thinking we weren't going to pay because my friend happened to be up front and dressed before me because her massage had ended before mine. So that was already kind of wack. Then I got up there and went to pay, after paying with card, I got out cash to tip. As I was arranging the bills, the ladies started talking in another language but they were clearly talking badly about how much I was giving for tip. After two massages, i tipped $24 for my friends service and my own, $12 to each person who massaged us. It was INCREDIBLY off putting to be treated as if our tips weren't enough on top of being judged assuming we wouldn't pay for our crappy services. If you're into people who don't seem to know how to give a good massage and are incredibly rude and think their services are worth more than what people tip, this is your place. I'd never return or recommend. Super rude. read more

The place is clean. The private rooms separate by curtains. This is a no frill place with excellent massage. Wendy was my masseuse and she is awesome. After the massage, I feel very relaxed. I got the hour body massage for $50. A similar massage high end spa will cost at least double, They use mineral oil as the massage oil. I asked them if I can bring my own coconut oil the next time I am here. read more

This massage place is clean and organized. Recommend to call ahead before arriving to check their availability. They're so nice and for the most part fit me in their schedule. Upon arrival they are ready to take you in and do not have you waiting. 60 minutes full body massage is so worth $50 plus tip. They do have different price ranges depending on time of massage. Lucy is wonderful and kind she makes sure I'm comfortable. She doesn't go to hard on massage as I let her know beforehand. The space is relaxing. read more

I went there with some friends. They took us right away for 70 min massage. The asian combo. Having to move during your session was different for me. read more

Found this place on nextdoor because someone was asking about massage place recommendation and this place was mentioned by several people as a go to neighborhood massage location. Of course, you can't tell from the store front, but I have to agree with the nextdoor vouches for this place after coming here with gf and getting a 60 minute couples massage. It was quite a relaxing experience filled with silence and some ambient music. You don't have to make conversation with the staff, but you can always ask them to go softer or harder depending on strength preference. Would definitely come back again since the price is reasonable and location is close by! read more

Ever since I found this place a couple years ago, its been my spot! First, it's affordable compared to other places, but because it's so affordable they do ask for a tip $15 minimum. That's how these massage places work! Even with that extra $15 is still not as high as other places. Which if you're coming to these you know why you don't go to the others places. 3x the price & sometimes the same or less quality. Second, I come in very frequently & have had great massages & poor ones too. There are so many masseuse that not everyone is the same. I had to rotate and I learned to ask the name of the person who I loved. Now, before I go in, I call & ask if those specific masseuse are working. Which I only book with them now. It's trial and error but now so worth it to have found my massage therapist. read more

First, my masseuse was definitely distracted during my massage. She consistently would start and stop massaging as if she forgot every minute or so what she was doing, which made it unenjoyable. When I went to tip $5 (on a $50 service) at the end, the receptionist told me that I should tip more. I am in the service industry and I understand how important tipping is, but I would NEVER tell someone that they had to tip me more, because all tips are appreciated but not required, especially if you did not enjoy the service much. I asked, are you telling me to tip more? She said yes, you should tip $10 if you feel good. I said, this is all I can tip today. She rolled her eyes, scoffed, and snatched the money from the counter without so much as a thank you or have a nice day. It was wildly unprofessional, and even though I have been a regular customer for the past 2 years, I will not be returning. read more

Horrible experience! My masseuse repeatedly ignored my numerous requests to lighten up his pressure and caused me significant pain and discomfort. Multiple times I asked him to lighten his pressure and informed him that he was hurting me and he made no adjustments and ignored me completely. Following the massage, I paid for the service in full and was harassed by the front desk for not tipping. I informed the front desk that I had a bad experience and that I was hurt and my requests for accommodation were ignored. The front desk preceded to guilt trip and berate me for not tipping despite me explaining the situation where my multiple requests were ignored and I was physically hurt by this massage. This is a very dishonest and disgusting business practice. Tips are EARNED for exceptional service. You are not ENTITLED to them, especially when my personal bodily autonomy was violated and I was injured. No one should waste their hard earned money at this establishment. Avoid this business at all costs and seek out competitors that value customer experience and deliver high quality customer service. read more

Ive been coming here for a while and have had quite a few of the masseuses, they're all fantastic. I have cycled through different massage places and even private massage therapists over the last 10 years, and this is my spot! I had Andy today and it was one of the best massages i've had in a long time. He opened the door for me when I walked up, asked my preference for pressure and would check in with me periodically to make sure I was ok, and was very understanding of not fully massaging my left arm because of a new tattoo. I have chronic back pain, but I walked out of my massage today in 0/10 pain. Thank you so much Andy, I could tell you are very knowledgable about muscle groups, pressure points, stretching, and reflexology. Truly fantastic. The location itself is easy to access and I've never had a problem with parking or safety. Inside is always very clean and neat and the staff have all been very friendly to me. Also please leave generous tips for your masseuse, their base prices are very reasonable and they have magic hands. I will absolutely be back soon. read more
