For example, I once called to reconfirm an appointment and was met with noticeable frustration, which made me uncomfortable asking simple questions. On another occasion, I forgot to bring the appropriate clothing for treatment, and the response I received when needing to borrow a gown felt unnecessarily annoyed. Most recently, after a FET procedure, I arrived early to my appointment (which Katie was aware could fluctuate). When I arrived, her husband asked me to return to my car to wait. After explaining that I had just undergone a procedure, I was allowed to sit briefly inside but the situation felt unnecessary and lacking empathy given the circumstances. I understand that this is a busy practice, but bedside manner and patient experience are just as important, especially in a setting that is meant to promote relaxation and reduce stress.
