This is a review that is long overdue (and one I've written in my head a hundred times but didn't want to share publicly for selfish reasons). I've been a regular for at least a couple of years and will continue to be a faithful member. I've suffered from chronic neck and shoulder pain for as long as I can remember. My search for relief took several years, including countless visits to chiropractors, orthopedists and massage therapists. Finding MELT changed my life! Sijai is a Godsend! Walking in for the first time, I was impressed with the relaxing aesthetics of the check in/waiting area. In a relaxing low-lit room, you are surrounded by the gentle sounds of a waterfall and the soft aroma-therapy scent. This is not the every-other massage business you find. Not only is the atmosphere conducive to the best relaxing and healing experience, the facility is absolutely spotless! You are led to one of the inviting treatment rooms and after discussing your problem areas, the magic happens! Select from one of the amazing aromatherapy oils and get ready to transcend into heaven. Sijai syncs to your needs and ensures the perfect pressure during your therapy. She's probably tired of hearing that her hands are "magic." She is magic! Sijai is so easy to engage with that she can soon become your therapist - someone to confide in. The business is named "MELT" because that is exactly what you will do at the end of the session...you will just melt into the massage table. Sijai devotes herself entirely to each appointment so BE SURE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT as walk ins are not accepted. Pick up the phone and call! Needed to update my review because it's been a while. I haven't seen Sijay in like 8 months because....self neglect. Lol But omggg I had a massage last night and my upper back, lower back and actually allll the back has been hurting so bad since having my most recent baby and the epidural. Sijay worked her magic and I am hurting in the best way today. Lol you know that good sore you get when you have the best leg day in the gym? That's the comparison. She literally worked out all the knots, and while I'm a little sore today...I feel so much better and my back feels so loose. Don't go to those sleepy "foo foo" massages from big chain spas...do yourself a favor and book with Sijay if you actually want to feel a difference! Thank you Sijay!!! read more

I thought long and hard before posting this review but I always try to keep my reviews very honest and straight forward. I've had a membership here for two years and I felt like Sijai and I have established a decent relationship. In the last several months things have fell short and it was time for me to cancel my membership. She's not the best at responding phone calls or replying in timely manner but she's practically the only person that runs the place. She had two other masseuses that I actually really liked but eventually they left. And then it made it even harder to get appointments with her. One of the issues I had with her is her scheduling system. She always wanted me to schedule things way in advance and my work life is always in a constant change. And she never sends out reminder messages. Granted, it is my responsibility to keep track but it would be nice. Sometimes I wouldn't get all the appointment texts and she lacks understanding of that fact. Even with the annual renewal fee, there's NO heads up so if you don't keep track you're screwed. And it's a total loss of $299 even if you don't want to continue it. I've tried to be accommodating but I just feel like things have changed and you can tell she's overwhelmed. But I'm big about customer service and maintaining relationships esp with long time clients. She doesn't seem to care. read more

Keeping in mind that she is in such high demand, and that booking a massage as a non-member is subject to availability, I am happy to wait for her gifted hands. I love the automatic text confirmations every time I schedule a massage. As a result, I have never missed an appointment. Sijai is who you see when your body needs true healing and care. This ain't no "fluff n buff" massage! She has a magical ability to hone in on what seriously ails me. In preparation for a recent hip replacement surgery, she was instrumental in providing relief to my sore hips, lower back, and legs using various types of techniques & modalities. Her broad knowledge of kinesiology has been instrumental in my recovery. She makes sure to stay connected to me during the massage, ensuring that my needs are always addressed. I had showed up 20 minutes prior to my appointment but the door was locked. So, i assumed she closed early and went home.Thankfully, she called and explained that she was with a client and kept the door locked for security. Best massage I've had in a while! I came in a little late due to traffic but they still were able to accommodate me. Elizabeth was my masseuse. Wow! I had my first massage with Sijai yesterday and I can already feel a huge difference in my body. She's extremely knowledgeable about her craft and is very serious about helping you heal your body. I came in with concerns of my upper back area having knots and tension. It was insane feeling the difference in each section of my back after she worked on it. I can already feel myself wanting to sit straighter while also feeling relaxed? It's an interesting feeling. Its the next day and I although I do feel a tiny bit of soreness - the initial tension and stress I went in for is completely gone. I also have more mobility in my rotator cuffs (which I had no idea was even an issue for me to begin with until Sijai worked that area as well). Now I feel less tight and have a wider range of motion. She asks you ton of questions about your daily lifestyle to understand your body and how to proceed with her treatment. I love that she's thorough with her clients making sure she works on exactly what you need while also being intuitive and helping you with things you didn't even know were limiting to begin with. My appointment was today at 2 p.m. and I had a wonderful experience, I feel bad for the bad review I posted yesterday because Sijai had a valid reason for not returning my calls. I found Melt on Yelp and had my first massage with CJ. She's at first pretty serious in asking about all your problem areas. She means business! I was pleasantly surprised to find out quickly she is a wonderful healer. She focused on my tight upper back, traps and got all the knots out, opened up my shoulders, even did some magic on my back so I could take deeper breaths. I walked out with better posture and still feel loose. She asks that you wear a mask when in the facility and when laying face up, but after hearing she works with a lot of regular clients with compromised immune systems, it's easy to respect that request. The moment CJ touched me I know I'd be a returning customer. Her energy, knowledge, and all around presence was therapeutic. She knew things about my body that I never told her. I know it's her profession to know, but I have never had a massage therapist be so knowledgeable and give me practical tips and suggestions to avoid over-stressing my body. CJ worked my sore, tense muscles good. I mean good Good. She asked often about the pressure, tenderness, and discomfort. She gave me information about her technique, and helped me to improve my breathing to work with her and not against the massage. To me, the mark of a thorough, effective massage is the feeling afterward. I was "spa wasted" as CJ put it. I paced myself because I was definitely light-headed and tons more relaxed. I really didn't want to post a review for Sijai because I know her business will explode and I didn't want her to forget about me! I've been getting massages (deep tissue, sports, prenatal, post natal) over the last 10 years. And I have never found anyone as educational and beneficial than Sijai. She is amazing and the body work she performs DOES WORK. I've also done physical therapy on minor injuries and those sessions did nothing. However, with one visit from Sijai, I felt much better. It'll take time for long-term injuries to dissipate but she at least is making progress unlike the other professionals I have seen and paid lots of money for. If you have specific sports injuries and want them fixed, she's the one for you. If you want to zone out or sleep during massage sessions, don't go here. Sijai's massages does require the client to work with her during sessions which I think is GREAT. read more

I was in town for a few days and I originally searched here on Yelp. Sometimes you get lucky and really find a gem. This is said gem. I was a little flustered when I arrived and there were a few minor bumps with some scheduling but after a few minutes it was all gravy, and I started to settle in to the amazingly cozy ambiance that was set up. It was very welcoming and the massage table was very warm. I felt very safe and comfortable. And it is true what other reviewers have said, from my one massage so far (I'll be back when I'm in town for sure ) Sijai has a vast knowledge of techniques and disciplines. She knows her stuff and has a very well rounded holistic view of things. It's been hard to find that anywhere. I can already breath much better, and have more motion in my shoulder. From what I remember she also has aromatherapy options and other nice lotions. She is very popular and books up quick, so make sure you book out a month or two in advance. I was in a lot of pain with a stiff neck and sore shoulder following my first mosh pit in at least 10 years; unfortunately, I'm not great at getting out to have massages due to a combination of "I can push through it," and not particularly liking people touch me. Elizabeth did a wonderful job of helping my body move toward a healing place. She put attention toward the areas of concern that were causing discomfort while creating a calm and relaxing environment that allowed me to feel comfortable while having my body worked on. Following the massage I could feel how much more relaxed my neck and shoulders were, allowing me to turn my head again without pain or discomfort. My boyfriend and I went in for massages on 7/17/21 and I had Beatrice as my masseuse. I have gone to other massage and spa places and Beatrice is the only one that has ever really focused on the problem areas I identified in the intake paperwork. Others have kind of worked on the problem areas but they seemed more concerned with the larger massage vs addressing the problem areas specifically. Beatrice checked in on me frequently to check if the pressure was too hard and set a very clear and realistic expectation of this one massage not being able to fix all my problem areas. To fix my problem areas it would take more than one session. I completely understood that and was happy to have her set that clear expectation for me. She was so kind and sociable during the whole experience. I really appreciated her time and the attention she paid to addressing my neck issues. Hope to be back soon! read more

SiJai was highly referred and could see why. The environment, calming as you stepped through the door. The sound of waterfalls, calming aroma, low lighting had my stress slowly eased away from the outside chaos. My occupation is a Flight Attendant and didn't take into account the amount of repetitive movement for years. SiJai did not only listen about the problematic areas but was able to see it visually with just a few head turns. She is truly gifted in healing people from the inside out. This is my fifth visit to Melt Massage & Spa, and I feel confident to say that they are really the best massage & spa place in the neighborhood. Parking is super easy to find, and the place itself is super cozy and has a relaxing ambience. Now to the massage service, Sijai is an amazing therapist and it's been an absolute blessing to be her client. The sessions with her never disappoint as she is really good at finding your sore spots and sorting them out for you as well as relaxing those tight muscles.
