I had my first visit at HL Head Spa last week. I have been getting my pedicures and nails done next door, and I thought I would try this for an extra treat for myself. SELF CARE is a MUST for everyone. I tried the 90 min treatment and I LOVEDDDD it. They had a privacy curtain around you, dimmed lighting, relaxing Zen music and the treatment was of so many lovely layers. I enjoyed the scalp massage, the different scents of shampoo and conditioners and I even added the hair Hot oil treatment, and my hair is still soft a week later. They massaged my head, my face and even a mini facial that felt refreshing and relaxing. I highly recommend this place, great staff and a great experience overall. I will be back again in a month for more :) read more

I have been wanting to try a head spa for the longest time after seeing so many dreamy reels on Instagram -- and today I finally did it! I had nothing on my agenda in West Garden Grove, saw a banner advertising $40 for 45 minutes, and thought... why not treat myself? Best. Decision. Ever. I walked in without an appointment and was warmly greeted by Tracy (easy to remember). I let her know I was a walk-in, and they graciously took me right in. She showed me to a changing room where I was given a basket for my belongings and a cozy robe to change into. Already feeling relaxed! Once I was settled on the spa bed, the pampering began. They wrapped my feet in warmers and placed a warm pad on my chest -- instant comfort. Holly started with a gentle cleanse of my face, neck, and chest while warm steam flowed over my skin. It felt amazing. Then came the head massage (the dreamy head scratch everyone talks about!) followed by more neck and shoulder massage with hot stones. At some point I definitely drifted off -- which tells you how relaxing it was -- but I remember cool stones placed on my face, more soothing massage, and the grand finale: my hair being washed and conditioned with the most refreshing scents. When the session ended, I sat up to cool, invigorating lotion on my back and shoulders before getting dressed. As if that wasn't enough, she led me downstairs and blow-dried my hair to finish everything off perfectly. Tracy explained that longer sessions include hand, arm, and foot massages... and now I'm already planning my next visit. This was the perfect introduction to head spas. WOW! What a surprise I had today when I visited this spa! I wanted a neck and shoulder massage and got a head massage too. This was delightful and very relaxing. I'm told the scalp message helps to grow hair which was another pleasant surprise as I need to grow hair! Fabulous! Treated my daughter and myself to the experience and it was amazing. Changing into a wrap around that left the neck and shoulders bare, then laying on a warm table, with a weighted and heated beanbag on my stomach, cozy wraps on the feet and then the scalp and hair treatment started. The staff were welcoming and made me feel comfortable right away. The head spa/scalp massage itself was incredible. You can tell they really know what they're doing, the pressure was perfect, and the whole experience felt so thorough. It wasn't rushed at all, and I felt completely taken care of the entire time. I attended the grand opening with my mom and decided to purchase a gift certificate for us to use on the head spa treatment. My mom nor myself have ever had a head spa treatment and did not know what to expect, the treatment I experienced blew any expectations I could've had out of the water. The girls that work there are amazing at what they do and check in with you throughout to make sure that you are comfortable with the service that they are providing . I felt so relaxed upon leaving and was receiving compliments the following day on how my skin was glowing from the mini facial that's included in the head spa treatment. I think these are the things you guys can improve on to continue charging a lot. I have been to several places already: 1. Massage with your fingertips not scratch because scalp all the time throughout it hurts after a while, apply slow but deep pressure for that relief everyone needs do more of this. 2. take out the knotts on back or neck,get in there and put in the work, don't just rub and lather. We need to feel deeply. Work on the shoulder and neck area more this is where people have stress. Yes it is a scalp massage but root is neck and shoulders. Then the neck with fingertips not nails 3. Use less brush, less machines for massage i need hands for massage, 4. The heat you place on feet belly and the hot water can make someone feel too hot so ask before if they would like it before applying it right away 5. At the end a back massage it would be helpful not just a pat in the back lol 6. Lastly, if you are going to offer drinks. make sure it's made well, i was offered tea twice and then at the end they said no try coffee so i said yes. When they brought coffee they gave to me in a plastic cup with a plastic spoon and hot mind you. I though i was gettin a nice cold Vietnamese coffee after my hot massage lol 7.
