Well, how do I give a negative 5 review? So we called this very un-professional clown to fix our spa and this guy was cranky from the very beginning. He got upset because we did not have enough water pressure coming out of our hose and he became upset that he did not have enough room to work on the back of the unit. He came back a week later to fix the problem, and began to throw a tantrum because of the parking situation in our area. He states he can come back next week then flipped like a switch and said that he didn't want to do the job anymore. He then went to his truck for a moment; coming back a few minutes later stating that he will do the work. My wife just said forget it and he left. read more

THE ORDER: Round jacuzzi This was our first dip into jacuzzi waters. We specifically wanted a round bubbler. After visiting many showrooms we realized their was not much selection in the round category. YIPPEE: We found Alan who specializes in Nordic Hot Tubs. The Nordic line provided exactly what we were looking for, a quality tub, lots of variety in size and shape, easy to use and maintain, with a reasonable price. Also, Alan out priced all the showrooms we had visited. He is a super nice, knowledgable, person who made buying our first jacuzzi a fun, exciting experience. CHALLENGES Overcomed: Our tub would be installed on a hillside, with a deck built around it, leaving little room for adjustment. Alan made several trips to us to see things first hand. He worked with our contractor and the install went smoothly. SUMMARY: Once up and running, Alan made another trip out and taught us in person how to use and care for our tub. We love our jacuzzi. Alan is literally the best, hands down, the real deal! We ordered a Hot Tub at the very beginning of the COVID situation. We were so excited for the 3-6 week delivery timeframe only to find out the factory had shut down completely. Alan stayed in touch and updated us as he received any information. Once our tub arrived, he delivered it and even helped squeeze through some tricky spots, making sure the hot tub was perfectly place and in perfect condition. We purchased our home about 3 years ago with a built-in, 20-year-old spa in the backyard. Our home warranty company sent some folks out to troubleshoot and attempt to get the spa up and running but in the end nothing was working properly because the shady spa repair company that they sent kept doing band-aid fixes that really didn't repair anything and the spa was not usable because there was debris constantly being shot out into the water. It was disgusting and definitely not something I would allow my children to sit in. Eventually we gave up and covered up the spa and it sat unused for about a year because I was terrified of the amount of money we would have to spend to properly repair the spa. Then this June I searched online and found SpaTek. I made an appointment with Alan to come check out the spa and provide an estimate to get it up and running. From the very beginning, Alan was personable, incredibly knowledgeable, and all about customer service. He NEVER tried to sell me any unnecessary repairs/equipment and his estimate was very reasonable. Once work began, he worked quickly and efficiently and when the job was completed, came back over to give me a tutorial on operating the new equipment and regular spa maintenance. Alan used a multi-step approach to finding the leak. They found it at step #2 and they were very creative in designing a solution that fixed the leak. Wow! What an unprofessional jerk. Im a Real Estate agent and my Buyer wanted their hot tub fixed. This seller called this company to fix it. It cost $863 (to which I reimbursed them) for a nice closing gift for my Buyer. When I went to check it out, it wasn't working. I called the owner of this company and he told me to turn on the breaker. I wanted it working for my Buyer's final walk through. I asked the guy "how do I put it in economy". He told me that he wasn't going to waste his time telling me. That I was not his client and I can just google the manual. I told him that I was his client and that I just paid for it. And he was arguing with me that I was not the one who paid him and he wasn't going to spend an hour helping me. "Since when does it take an hour to put a hot tub into economy mode anyways?" Buyer beware! Clearly this business owner lacks customer service skills. It appears now to be working. But what an unprofessional business person. Spa Tek is my go-to service for spa / hot tub service. I'm puzzled why the previous two reviews are so negative, though. Spa Tek's owner/service tech came out and was completely professional. We have an older spa, maybe 12-14 years old, and I wanted a "refresher course" for how to run it, use the chemicals, general maintenance. It had been my husband's idea to get the spa, but he hasn't really followed up on the maintenance on a regular basis. I've had skin issues with the chemicals we had been using, I didn't want to keep the spa, and I was reluctant to take over the duties of spa commander, thinking that I couldn't plumb the depths of spa alchemy. Spa Tek checked out the spa, saw that it was well overdue for a new oxidizer, approved of our use of the Nature 2 sanitizer, and explained how simply a spa could be maintained. We will be using Spa Tek for issues in the future, and I will be recommending Spa Tek to my friends. read more

Allan has been servicing our very old circa 1990's Sundance tub for almost 7 years now. He has resurrected our tub quite a few times. In fact he was happy to work on it rather than trying to sell us on a new one. I was sad when our tub finally R.I.P'd. I thought getting new one would be such a GIANT pain!!! (I know first world problems right?:-) I did a bunch, really a bunch (brochures galore....) of research on all sorts of tubs (hotsprings, sundance, jacuzzi, nordic, calspas, etc.). We went to Allan for his knowledge and expertise and we are so flippin' glad we did. Allan was super helpful, showed us a variety of tubs (he specializes in round but he did have a square tub as well to show us) and answered all our questions. The best part...no pressure!!!! At the end of spending about an hour+ with us, he said take the info home think about it and let me know how I can help!!!! WOW....talk about a great buying experience!!! We decided on our tub and pulled the trigger. The price was very fair (we got a 6 person mid-line model, it was in line with what I had seen in the research I did. The cost included the delivery and cover and Allan actually did not charge us for the freight shipping since we ordered a custom tub...he was super honest with everything!!!! To begin, I'd like to explain something about myself. When I decide I want something, I want it now. I'm beyond the definition of an impulse buyer. With that said I called Allen the minute I decided to purchase a hot tub. He answered on the first ring. I had many questions that he took his time to answer (impressive as this was after normal business hours). We decided on a time to meet so he could show my husband and I some options in person. It happened that we had some free time a day before we were supposed to meet Allen and he was quite accommodating and agreed to meet then. Fast forward to picking out what we wanted, Allen coming to our house the following day (free of charge) to inspect the area to make certain it would fit through the side of our house, confirm that we had sufficient electrical amps, and testing our current outdoor outlet. When all things passed, he set up the delivery for 2 days later. On the schedule day, Allen showed up on time, delivered the hot tub not only to our house, but brought it all the way back to our backyard patio (which, at one spot he had to build a make-shift ramp to do so). He installed a new outdoor outlet on our house, installed, filled and prepared our hot tub, gave instructions on water treatments and answered all of our questions. We are beyond happy with everything! Allen was so awesome to work with. Sadly, he's of a dying breed of honest hard-working business people who put their client's satisfaction over the almighty dollar. I'd give more than 5 stars if it were an option! read more

We conducted a great deal of business via phone and via email as well, and Alan was always very timely in getting back to me with good answers. I broke my own rule and bought a Nordic Crown XL from Alan sight unseen, but with his feedback and a lot of internet research I pulled the trigger.
