This place is very modern and chic. Came here and got the full classic lash. They make you sign a waiver prior to the service. The gal that worked on my lashes was very courteous while being prompt. It only took her an hour to get it done. The lashes looks great! The reason why this place didn't get the full 5 stars was because when she started to clean my lashes, it stung a little. I've never had this happened before. After she was done with the procedure, she handed me a fan and my eyes became very teary. I asked her if it was normal and her response was yes. I've had my extensions done for years at Bolavish and this has never happened to me, ever. Once I got in my car, I had to blast the AC because my eyes wouldn't stop watering. After a few minutes it finally stopped, but irritable. I'm writing this on day 2 and yes the tears still comes and goes. The right eye stings and itches at times, but I'm so busy with being a boss at work (lol) and the babies at home I probably won't have time to go back before my sister's wedding this weekend for her to take a look at it. I hope things will get better in a few days. Will I be back? Yes, I want to try their pedicure. UPDATE 8/10 After reading my review, Kathy, the gal that did my lashes gave me a call to check up on me. She gave me suggestions on what I may do in the meantime and to come in before my sis' wedding so she can flush my eye out for me and if any lashes falls out along the way, she will fix them for free. I've used the eye drops at home and that sure did helped with the stinging and itching. However, I've seen a few lashes coming off because you're supposed to keep them dry after 48 hrs. I hope to find the time to have Kathy do the touch up. I appreciate her calling and checking up on me. It shows that she cared and wanted to make this wrong right. read more

I thought long and hard about this review, but my baby girl telling me how much her pinky hurts because the lady who did her nails cut her even after we get home; every time she washes her hands? I'm disappointed. My husband was not happy. At first, I was ready to demand and explanation, but I really like the craftsmanship these folks put in, minus certain aberrations. Small mistakes here and there are no huge deal, but they do add up. They just weren't at that point. Cutting my daughter during her manicure is discomforting. Especially considering I've never cut my child and I'm not a professional. Then, it was as if they didn't cut her. The nail techs acted confused at first. As if she mysteriously did it herself, but I was next to her. She was still. She said it was when the lady was using one of the sharper tools. She suffered in silence for a minute or two before telling me that she'd suffered a slight laceration under her nail, at the tip of her pinky. The apologies were not profuse as one would assume after one's child has been cut. They were milquetoast and only after the aforementioned incredulity that she was cut. There was no offer of any discounts (not necessary, but it's the principle) or any sort of remuneration for cutting my little girl. She was given the deluxe manicure without my consent. I would have allowed it, but it's the principle. They're cutting edge style-wise. You could post these nails on Instagram. I wanted them to be my main salon, but this coupled with a few minor things, I'll have to explore my options as opposed to going there straight away and my daughter will go elsewhere. read more

My first (and probably last) visit I walked in for an eyebrow and lip wax. I was taken to a room where a woman was already attaching eyelashes to another woman. In between attaching the eyelashes to the other woman the woman hurriedly attends to me and practically rips my skin off when waxing. She probably spent a total of 3 mins on me and I left in a lot of pain, with very red skin and a messy wax job altogether. I've been getting waxed for over 10 years and have never left an establishment in so much pain. If the woman was too busy to attend to me properly I wish they would have told me to come back or make an appointment. I left two stars instead of one because my eyebrows at least look decent, besides all of the surrounding red skin. read more

This is the Nail Salon to go to, found it by accident. I have been looking for a nail salon for a while now. Been everywhere just to find one that will satisfy my need. They were AMAZING! loved my nails and my toes! had a pedicure and love the fact that they used new and clean tools for your pedi. every footbath had a vinyl lining for each person. Nice and clean with the latest equipment. The bathroom was clean and had toilet lining which is surprising cus most nail salon had none. I would travel 15 miles to get my mani and pedi here. I came to Spa Soiree & Lash Bar after having a very negative experience at the nail salon a few stores down. i came into the spa frustrated at how i was treated at the previous salon and they listened to my concerns and treated me with kindness and understanding. My nail artist took her time to make sure i was more than happy with my new results and cleaned all the polish off my hands from the previous place. The only negative is that it is a little pricey. I paid $15 for the clean up, polish change, and a small design on my ring finger. Even though it is a little pricey, I will 100% be coming back! read more

This was my first and last time. I wanted to try a new place, so I decided to come here. The Lady who did my nails seemed like she was new at this. My nails we so bad painted, once I told her she kept leaving the edges unpainted, she got upset because she had to take the gel off and repaint them. She told me that the gel kept shrinking that's why the edges were missing. And the owner backed her up. When the salon first opened it was very nice and I loved going there. Then as soon as more people started to come in it got very busy and went down hill.. They do have amazing colors and do a reasonable job but for the price and the wait (even if you have an appointment!!) it is not worth it and I would advise going somewhere else. The main reason I am writing this is because of how she talks to her customers & the salons poor customer service practice. I did my lashes here a handful of times and each time she did them she would have another person in the room (either she was waxing in between or waiting to do the next persons lashes(sometimes doing 2 people at a time after I had an appointment.) She always seemed rushed and I don't think she spent the time (especially for the 165$+ NOT INCLUDING THE TIP I was paying for my lashes). She would answer the phone while she was working on my eyelashes and she would even pick up her personal phone! All while working on my lashes... Good Customer service wouldn't even bring a phone into the room. She would often make comments like "Wow you have no eyelashes" or "your eyelashes are so short no wonder you're getting extensions." Like uhhh thank you for pointing out the obvious... way to make me feel good!! Hence why I'm here and paying you when I could go somewhere else and get treated nicely.. On top of that she would put clusters of lashes onto one lash which were "volume" but they weren't quality, after less then a week they would look like they needed a fill. The last time I got them they fell out and they literally ripped almost 90% of my natural lashes out. The individual "volume" lashes Kathy put on pulled out my own lashes out.. WARNINGS DO NOT GO HERE TO GET YOUR LASHES DONE!!! Even when they naturally shed my real lash would fall out with the false ones. It took me 3+ months and a 150$ eyelash serum to finally get them grows back. With how much you're actually spending here you may as well go to a high end actual "lash bar" and spend your money with people who actually know what they're doing and care about their customers. If you actually care about your eyelashes I wouldn't even risk coming here to do them. I don't want what happened to me to happen to anybody else because it was terrible. read more

Very bad experience. I have being visiting this place for couple of time knowing the service they give. But my last visit was really bad. First, when I enter there were mother and little daughter doing pedicure and owner busy with someone's lashes in little room leaving door open. Guy walked to me from inside and ask me what I wanted to do. I said pedicure and manicure. And that guy said 15 mins. So I left telling him I will be back in 15 mins. I did my others chores and back to store in like 20 mins or so. When I enter store daughter and mother left, and same employee was chatting with her customer. I stood there for couple of mins and said hi to one of the employee who was doing pedicure. But she was so busy chatting that she didn't even care for. After getting a few fills on my lashes here I won't go back because they hurt due to multiple lashes sticking together and then growing out and pulling out multiple lashes. I have lost many real lashes due to chunks being pulled out. My eyes been glued shut and they typically don't last long before I need a fill. I hoped it was just a bad day or a few bad applications but it's getting worse. After 10 years of doing lashes I feel that she just rushed through or something, because they look good for about 5 days. It's the hurting I can't do. read more

The gal who did my nails doesn't know how to shape nails at all...I can tell by the way she holds the file. I ended up having to file my own nails. This Spa is brand new and I have to say it is beautiful. A friend had gotten her lashes done here and they looked amazing. I went in to talk about lash extensions and what I needed to know, considering it would be my first time. I didn't even plan on getting them that day. The lady was very laid back, unprofessional, and almost seemed careless. She told me nothing I hadn't already known about extensions. I had asked her how much it cost and hearing the price I immediately became unsure. She slapped down a paper for me to read and told me to sign it, I read through and felt like I had a better understanding of how they work. I walked back with here feeling better about it except one thing... I forgot to ask how long it takes. I laid down and asked her the estimated time and she said 2 hours. I was a little frustrated that she wasn't organized on giving thorough information for first timers. Once everything was done my lashes looked amazing, I immediately fell in love! After getting them done my eyes burned and watered non-stop and they were so puffy/red. I went back after the first day and she said not to worry, the glue was still drying. A few days go by and my eyes still felt like I had acid tears in them. I looked it up and a lot of times they will use glue that contains formaldehyde In it... it's been about a month with them (most have fallen off by now) and my eyes still continue to burn. Make sure you ask what glue she's using before you get them done. Other than the horrible side effects and mediocre customer service, they look bomb. But for $120 I am fairly disappointed! read more

I came in with a chipped nail about to break in half, so close to my nail bed which was very painful. I asked for help gluing it to help not break off and become an even bigger problem. or if not glue, another alternative solution to fixing my painful nail. Firstly, A woman approached me only to apply pressure on my nail to see if it would snap which I did not appreciate. Secondly, she acts like she's never seen such a thing before and grabs the owner. The owner, then with immediate frustration in her facial expression. She then grabs a nail glue, slabs on a layer of glue which seeped through the chip which created my nail underneath to become sore. Keep in mind, another lady that works in the salon did my shellac previously, so poorly, with bumps and air bubbles which created them to be so breakable. To continue, the owner says and I quote "it will break off eventually, glue or not." I know my situation, I wouldn't come if I wasn't in such urgency. I was hoping for better assistance. But I got a very rude response. The chip in my nail eventually became a longer cut so I went to another salon who so kindly helped me by applying powder to let the nail grow out from the chip, which till this day is still holding up. I am SO picky about my eyebrows, I went in today for a wax and tint. I can personally say I am so happy with the result. Not only do my brows look amazing, I felt so relaxed and completely trusted the girls there. I have very sensitive skin but that hasn't been an issue this time! I also have never had an issue with my acrylics, they always do such a great job and are so amazing at everything I've had them do for me! I highly recommend!! read more

Visited with my 5 year old for pedicures and manicure for her, gel for me. Everyone was sweet and very kind to us both. It was fairly busy but never felt rushed. They have beautiful color choices, a clean environment and a welcoming vibe. My leg and foot massage was to die for! None of the slap your calf over zealous foot scrubbing stuff. Just amazing massage. They patiently put 5 differ colors on my daughters toes and helped her pick them out. So sweet. My gel manicure looked great, but started peeling up two days later. I called and they said come on in! They fixed a few of my nails but missed a couple. I felt like a crazy person calling again to say I still had nails that needed to be fixed. I do expect my gel to last more than acre days! But they said- come in, we'll fix it. I showed up, and they completely refused my nails. Very kind, great customer service, clean and relaxing! Just got a mani and pedi. Color on toes and clear on nails (i got 2 little ones, so no way will color or shellac stay on). Cost $37 for a mani and pedi, which is a bit pricey, but they did do paraffin on my feet (didnt request, so not sure if this is standard). They did a great job smoothing out all the dead skin and rough patches (just had a baby, so I'm looking rough). Place was clean, ladies were nice, and theres snacks and tvs. I'll be back. My first time ever at this lash bar. I am a free lance writer and I review businesses for customer service and quality of work, however if costumer service is poor, I won't return no matter how good of work they do. When I was sent on this assignment, I was surprised that the lash tech was not friendly at all, she was rude and I'm being kind. Not even a kind greeting when I arrived, not even a thanks for coming in, or a thanks for the gratuity. The way she treated me was shit all the way through the appointment. As a customer, I was left feeling like I was not welcome and I wasted their time. Side note: the quality of the lash extensions was very poor and there was discomfort and pain involved. I have followed Kathy (owner) from her last salon as a technician to Spa Soriee and lash bar as an owner and I have not once been disappointed. She has organized a professional staff in a modern, chic, clean salon and Is up to date on the latest trends. I have gotten everything from manicures to lash extensions and even brow waxing and all have exceeded expectations. I have tried out multiple salons in the area and I can say I have found my go to! Prices are not cheap but comparable to neighboring salons. Just remember you are paying for quality! I cannot rave enough about this place. If in the neighborhood stop by! read more

I've been really disappointed with the service for the past 3 months, thinking it'd be better everytime! I got a full set of volume lashes (paid $165) and she put the cheap, thin lashes on me. When I asked her about it, Kathy said the lighter is better. They looked like classic FILL only and not even a full/new set of lashes. And it only lasted a week and a half, as the glue felt like it was piled up! My eyes always gets red for a few days after a fill. And Kathy always cut my bottom lashes as it always gets stuck at the end! Thus, poking my eye and irritating my eyes!! She's not so consistent with her service anymore!! Not a good way to keep her customers! And oh, my fill appt yesterday, only took 28 minutes, I called her out on it, and she said, oh, but I put volume lashes on you!! (ALL my previously appointments always last at least an hour long!!!). Umm, my left eye is so sparse (she seemed rush when she did this eye), and both eyes have two different volumes and size/length..(left eye must have 11's and 12's on them, and the right has 13's and 14's)..so noticeable. And she puts the lashes on my forehead while applying them on, and keeps getting up and answering the phone to schedule other peeps. (Kinda rude)...So disappointed!!! And notice, she NEVER, ever gives you a tiny mirror at the end to see if you're happy or not (like most lash places do) with your new lashes - - go figure! read more

Horrific experience with Kathy having lash extensions put in - I ended up in the emergency room with chemical burns and abrasions to both eyes. Very unprofessional and cold. She was talking on the cell phone to the landlord about why her rent was not paid and why she failed to provide an insurance certificate while working on my eyes with sharp tweezers and adhesives. I told her my eyes were stinging and she said "sometimes they sting a few minutes or become irritated"..... After lashes were done, I could not even see the mirror because my eyes were too red - I said, "I cannot believe how red and sore my eyes are!!!" She looked at them and said, "It looks like you have tape in your eyes"..... I asked WHY would I have tape in my eyes??? She is an expert at avoiding any wrongdoing or fault. When I examined my eyes in the car, I had many white specs on my contacts. I could not even drive home so returned and demanded to know what they put in my eyes and to remove the extensions immediately. They refused to tell me what the adhesive was - only silence. It took her nearly 3 hours to remove the lashes during which time she doused my eyes liberally with some kind of burning solution many times over. She told me to sit and wait for it to work. I was very angry and told her over and over how much it burned. I had tears flowing down my cheeks.... There was zero effort to flush the eyes, only a wet towel pressed onto the eyes a couple times which did nothing but further irritate. I confronted her about her professionalism and being on the phone for starters - she maintains it was all very professional. She told me lashes were finally removed - they weren't - many remained, as well as chunks of glue and adhesive stuck to my cheeks about an inch or two down from my eyes - why so much adhesive??? I asked for a full refund and the man there told me there would be no refund. I confronted him loudly about my eyes and demanded to know what they were using. He told me I was the nastiest person he ever met and to get out or he would call the cops. I made sure everyone there heard about her cell phone usage, the eye irritation and that I would be going to an eye doctor next because it was so bad. He kicked me out and would not discuss the refund and there was ZERO apology from them about the experience. I have a strong suspicion she had no clue what she was doing and may have used acetone to remove the lashes. The doctors at the ER said I had chemical burns and abrasions to the sclera. I required a variety of prescriptions and now have 2 follow up doctor visits. I cannot wear contacts for nearly 2 weeks minimum, which severely impacts my work on the computer since thick ointments blur my vision and my eyesight is not what it should be. Kathy later called me and said she was very professional "while on the phone and working on my eyes"(I have a written transcript of this admission - unbelievably stupid of them to ever have worked on my while talking on a cell phone - just the epitome of ignorance) - she said they would not be charging my credit card (I had already called my credit card to stop payment and file a complaint). She told me "It's not even worth the argument".... well, guess what..... today I find out from the credit card company that they turned in the charge for payment. Their credibility, honesty, professionalism and knowledge of what they are doing is complete CRAP. If there were a negative rating, I would give it. I plan to file complaints multiple places such as the cosmetology licensing board. At this point, legal action is being considered. read more
