His heels are still rough. I have big nails and I asked to cut just a little bit but she did my nails half size and she cut so deep that my toes hearts. This place sucked. Everywhere. All around. From beginning to end. I was sat down and not hoped for 15 minuets. No one explained anything to me. Then I finally get helped. No hi how are you. Just what color? I tell her and then She gets my colors. She just starts doing my nails and rolling her eyes at me making faces at me and my nails. She's breaking them and hurting my thumbs. Then after shaving them thin she says was that Acrylic? I said yes why ? She said oh. Then she puts UV gel on my nails with my color. She would pull and make noises like a monkey on my hand instead of saying can you give me your arm. Or scoot up. Or anything !? Just grunted. She was about to put on top coat with out doing the design I had asked for. So I asked her for the design and she just butchers it so I told her never mind thank you so much top coat is fine. I have gotten eyelash extensions done here and I must say the eyelash stylist is very professional and friendly. She takes her time to be sure your lashes come out perfect. I am very satisfied with my fuller and longer lashes and would suggest this place to anyone. I have also gotten my nails done here as well A+ for everything. read more

I went for keratin treatment ($200 for bra length thin straight hair). The lady was nice and entertaining but i stopped smiling as soon as she started blow drying my hair. Man, was she brutal! She kept on pulling my hair and burning my scalp. I told her that it hurts and suggested that she uses the flat iron. She continued to blow dry roughly and i continued to jerk. Finally, she shifted to flat iron. Relieved, I smiled and said, "I didn't know I have that much baby hair". She said. "Are you kidding me! Those are not baby hair. Those are breakage!" In my head i was like, "yah.. that you caused!" SMH. When i paid, the bill was $250 ($50 more than the price we agreed upon). I asked why and was told its because I needed a trim. OMG. $50 for 1 inch trim?! Realizing that there is no point arguing, i handed the cashier my card. She said, "This is atm. Can you use machine and pay us cash? I give you money for fee." So i did just so it's over with. Don't get me wrong. My hair looks shiny so its not a terrible job and a complete waste of money. But she was just too rough and it was too much money for a service that probably won't get reported. I do NOT recommend this place. read more

I hate to write this but I had an awful lash extension experience. My lashes were glued shut together for 15 minutes and the technician had to cut my natural lashes in order to fix the problem and so I could finally open my eyes again. I got so scared and the tools used to get this fixed came so close to my eyeball that I am now super scared and will never get lash extensions again. Not sure what the issue was but would NOT recommend coming to this salon for lash extensions. A proper bottom lash cover should have been used to avoid this issue. read more

This place will be my new go to!! It was recommended to me by a friend and I'm glad I came. I got a manicure and pedicure and the whole experience was perfect. The spa was very clean, everyone was friendly and they did such a great job. I went home and walked my dog shortly after and he pulled me and I lost my balance and fell. Turned out I chipped my big toenail and the polish on the toenail next to it was scraped as well. I came back to the salon and they immediately took care of me! Their 50 dollars filling gel manicure is not worth it because of the lack of professionalism of this place. I spent 2 hours and 15 minutes to get a manicure filling because they scheduled my appointment with someone who was already busy, so one of their unprepared employees who works the front desk started cleaning my old polish, and did it so poorly that ended up burning the top of my nail from so much filing besides taking a whole hour doing so, then Esther took over the manicure and did a better job. I don't plan on coming back but if you need someone who you know will do a great job is Becky, she's friendly and always left my nails perfect. read more

I called here and asked if they did microdermabrasion facials and they said yes. I was told it was $70 so I said I would be there in ten mins. I got there and was taken downstairs and asked what kind of facial I wanted. I said microdermabrasion, the lady looked at me like I had two heads. Then she went upstairs and came back down and said the deep cleansing facial was the one she would recommend. She could barely speak English but from the sounds of things she made it seem like they were pretty much the same thing. I agreed to get it. The facial was supposed to be 60 mins long, mine started at 11:43 and I got out at 1:24. The lady who did my facial didn't even tell me her name until after we were done. I was highly upset because I had work at 1 and was now late. And on top of that, there was no difference in my face when I looked in the mirror. I went upstairs to pay & the lady asked me if I liked it. I said no, this is not what I asked for. I called and you told me you had a service but you did not. She just said oh okay, and began to recommend that I purchase products (she also could barely speak English). Didn't even offer me a discount since it was her fault I wasted my money. Long story short, this is place is waste of time and money. Please invest in somewhere better. read more

In my defense, it was a Monday and most of the good places are closed. She's friendly and knowledgeable. She is always willing to do whatever "idea" I've found on Pinterest! The pedis are great. And the massage therapists - especially Esther and Krystal - are fabulous. I decided to give Spa One a chance based on all of the positive reviews. I had gotten a gel manicure for my wedding, and I wanted to get it taken off. I walked into the salon around 1:30 yesterday afternoon, stood at the reception desk for a bit, and then sat down in the waiting area after no one acknowledged me. About 15 minutes later, a woman came up to me and asked what I needed. I told her I needed my gels removed, and then my nails cut and filed, but no nail polish. She told me it was about 15-20 minutes. About a half hour later, the woman told me they were ready for me. The woman showed me to my seat, and then technician came over shortly after. She asked what I was having done, so again, I said that I needed my gels removed, and my nails cut. I don't get gel manicures very often, or even regular manicures, but I am always apprehensive about their removal process. Many salons have converted to using the electric files, which I have found to be harmful to my nails. Sure enough, the technician reaches for an electric file. After she started in my nails, I noticed some pain. I felt one of my nails, and she had filed it down so much that I could almost bend it over on itself. I asked her to be careful and not file as much because my nails were getting very thin. She just smiled and continued doing the same thing. Then she reached for her nail color palette and told me to choose a color. I reminded her that I wasn't having my nails redone. Once she finished, she began to cut and file my nails. She had over filed with the electric file so much that she was having trouble using a regular nail file. I looked down at my nails, and they were filled with areas where the gel wasn't fully removed, and red spots where she filed down so far that you could start to see the nail bed below. She then took clear gel polish, dabbed it on some of the red spots, and told me to 'just let the spots grow out'. Nail technicians are supposed to help take care of your nails. She destroyed mine. I am now left in so much pain, with random shiny spots on my soft and multi colored nails, of which I had to re file when I got home since she left them jagged. They will take months to grow out. All for $15. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to this salon. read more

Called the day of and got an appointment with Crystal for my first eyelash extensions! She was so welcoming and asked questions to make sure I had the right eyelashes. Although it was my first time and I only got the basic package she saw the thickness of my eyelashes and gave me extra! Although during it I was a little uncomfortable I think I think it was something that can be fixed. At the end she realized it and asked me why I did not tell her about my discomfort. I wasn't sure because it was my first time I thought it was normal. I recommend bringing headphones to play your own music or podcasts! Definitely will be going back again. read more

I've been to this salon a few times and it's been 50/50 chance of getting a really nice experience to just fine. The ladies are very nice though. Today, I got the peppermint Spa pedicure and Naomi did a wonderful job. She took her time and it felt very relaxing. Would definitely go back to her for my pedicure. I did wish they fixed my toes that I had messed up a little bit better but I guess that was my fault so it fine. I got UV and color gel manicure too. That was ehh. Not the greatest experience. I had two kafir work on my hands and I ended up with different lengths. The nails on my left hand are longer, so ladies, just beware. I should have corrected it but it started getting busy and they seemed to start rushing. The color came out nice which was a plus, but the lady filed the crap out of my nails. She was filing past my nails and I found a cut above my nail. Luckily, it was superficial so it didn't bleed. Like other places, unless you find a really good person to work on your nails, that's the only time you'll be completely satisfied. I went here last week to get a bare minimum haircut (no wash, no blow dry) and they wanted to charge me $40, which was the first issue I had. I figured they're pretty decent since they charge that much and I see all the positive reviews. My second issue: my appointment was at 3 PM and she was OVER AND HOUR LATE!!! I told her I needed to leave for work and she just took her sweet time on the lady in front of me. If she had taken me at my designated appointment time, I wouldn't have been late for work. My third issue was the actual haircut: plain, boring, and bland. I showed her a picture of layered hair that I wanted and this was just NOT IT. My final issue is that she smokes cigarettes in the back parking lot and I smelled it all in the hair as she was cutting my hair. And she claims that she's been doing hair for over 40 years. I'm sorry, but she cuts hair like she's in her first few months at beauty school. I also got acrylic nails done and again, SO EXPENSIVE AND THE QUALITY SUCKS! My nail broke after only a week! So I went back to my old hair stylist in the Bronx and got my haircut fixed, went to a nail salon in Passaic which was recommended to me, and I walked out feeling like I actually got a haircut and felt beautiful. The price was right and it was much better quality/ service/ talent than SpaOne. I am NEVER going there again! I wouldn't even pay $5 for that "haircut" or those nails! I go to Katie for my pedicures and she takes her time and really does A fantastic job. Let's get to hair. Today I went to Kevin for a trim and color. Mind you it's the first time he colored my hair. WOW is all I can say. He is the best colorist I have had hands down. He picked the color that would best suit my completion. He was on point! He is fast and clean. He covered my ears with little baggies this is the first time I don't have color all over my forehead and ears. I saw a Groupon for full set of eyelash extensions, I called and I got an appointment for the next day , I got to my appointment and immediately the interior catches your eye and you feel like you want to look all around it is beautiful and inviting. The staff greet you as soon as you enter. I explained that I had an appointment for my eyelashes and they said it's done downstairs and to have a seat and Crystal will come to get me, when she came to bring me downstairs her personality is very warm and charming I descended with her into their lower level which is equally as nice that has a massage area and a room for the eyelashes and I'm not sure what else because I didn't take a walk around . I took my seat and filled out a quick form , I handed it in and she sat with me and asked me questions about my other experiences . I felt good being there. I was very glad that's she seemed so confident and knowledgeable about what I wanted and what I should pick, we got to know each other for a few minutes while I waited for the eyelash room to open, she walked me in and introduced me to Veronica who was very sweet. spa music was playing and it was very relaxing and only took about an hour. They instructed me on care of them and showed me the finished product and I was in awe . Anytime I've ever had my lashes done they were clumpy and heavy and these were so natural looking and soft and light that I can't even feel them. I booked my appointment for a two week touch up right then and there. I will definitely be back, I'm very impressed. Warning!!! Spa One installed and ATM machine in their stairwell to the basement. On 8/ 19/16 I was forced to withdraw $40 to pay for my services. I had to pay a 99 cent machine fee and a $2.50 fee to my wells fargo account. They are no longer taking cards. CASH BUSINESS. SCAM. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN. They did this to every customer. I never do reviews, but I have to say, I have been going to Spa ONE since they opened. This is a place you can go to take care of yourself for a couple hours. I am a new mom, and today I went for a pedicure, LCN fill ins ( that resulted in almost a full set ) & my eyebrows waxed. And I had a 20 minute REAL chair massage form Chrystal ! it was absolutely amazing ! it's so wonderful to be dealing with the same people that I feel like family and they have been taking care of me since the first day I walked in. For example, I went in for a mani/pedi; They did my pedi first, tucked me away into a corner to dry. Took others who came in after me for their mani and continued to take other walk ins. When i finally spoke up after 30 min they kept saying "few more minutes" They sat me down at a station thinking im about to get my nails painted, and the technician left and went to go do a wax. Tried this place out recently. I really did love it.. until it was time to pay. A huge sign in the salon says mani and pedicure are $30.00 total... Wonderful! During my pedicure, I was asked if I wanted some callus work, I said sure --- Typically, at least at ALL of the different nail salons I've gone to, this question means they will either use one of those callus shavers or a foot file and some lotion. This place put some gel stuff on my heels and saran wrap. I've had this done at other places with a pedicure, so I didn't think this was anything too special or out of the ordinary. When I went to pay, I was charged an extra $10 for this callus work, which lasted a couple minutes at most since I was in a rush. Had I known I was getting charged $10, I would have most certainly stayed and gotten my money's worth. I was bummed, as this place is clean and I liked it, but I certainly don't like places that do the whole discrete "upsell" on charges and don't tell me additional costs. I had even told them it was my first time there. It's easier putting 2 stars on here as my manicure had lasted not even a few full days afterwards (and no I have not done any dishwashing or housework, so a basic manicure should not be completely chipping on ALL of my nails).
