UV Gel on Natural Nails :)
    Beyeline V.

I've been coming to Green Tea Nails for a little over a year now and I love the way Ly (Lee) does my nails. I'm posting this picture because I'm so happy to find the closest thing to a Russian Manicure. This is UV gel, Ly does an amazing job cleaning the cuticles. The only up keep you have to do is put some coconut or almond oil at home to maintain your cuticles looking clean and hydrated.

asked for round gel mani.. got square and the finish is bumpy and now turning yellow after two days.. not impressed rushed work.

Let's start with the $25 gel mani which got me all excited since the place I normally go to is $38+. I expected a nice gel mani not bumpy nails which started turning yellow after TWO days. The nail tech Sarah was very nice but rushed my nails and my massage because an older lady was waiting to get her nails done. When I saw the two other women's nails she did which were beautiful and. Early finished I was so upset. Just because I am younger and not 40+ in my work clothes does not mean I do not deserve the treatment the other women in the salon got. Now the pedicure... I was only one of two other people getting a pedi so I expected great service since I one else was waiting for a pedicure. She was rude to me forgot to scrub my feet, I got a rushed foot massage she kept grabbing my leg harsh to put back into the tub. Just not happy about the treatment in this salon. Not to mention zero parking. Not impressed

Best nail salon in town! I've been a customer for 7-8 years now. Joann the owner is very nice, and so are all the pedicure girls. Tu does great gel manicures and they always last me the full 2 weeks. OPI 250

I usually go here for simple gel mani and regular pedis. They do so much for pedicures for such a cheap amount, its very worth it. Although the last time i got a gel manicure, my gel chipped within a week. And now that I've decided to try their acrylics, my one nail snapped within days it's so disappointing. Not to mention they couldn't even do something very simple for a regular technician somewhere else with better results and same price point.

Gel Manicure (French) & Regular Pedicure Review Gel Manicure (French): I had Joanna. While I give her credit for giving my nails a nice shape there are 1-2 spots (near the cuticle) where gel was not applied. Luckily the color covered up the issue well. They don't have an airbrush machine so my French manicure did not look as fresh and polished as it usually does. I have tiny air bubbles and "nicks" on the white part, already. :-( Pedicure: The girl I had hurt me. She cut to deep and was practically peeling off my skin cuticle. I wouldn't get a pedicure here, again. Gel Manicure Durability (1 week after gel manicure): Normal use of my hands and two nails are already chipped. One nail's top coat has come half off. Perhaps this is a one off situation but I never had this issue at my normal nail spot. Sadly, I moved up north and I was looking for a new place (so I didn't have to drive 40 min south). Would I recommend the business? If you want a gel manicure with a coat of paint (not French), I would say try it, see if the gel manicure lasts (for you). I would not recommend this place if you're looking for a French manicure or a pedicure.

I've been going to this place for years. The nail technicians have all been the same for quite some time and they all do a wonderful job. As long as you communicate to them I'm sure you will receive great service. They are gentle and take their time to ensure a good experience. Appointments are best because they do get busy. I'm always astonished when people walk in especially during this era and get upset when they can't be taken. It's not that difficult to call in advance. Green tea nails is a gem of a nail salon. Gel manicures will last you at least 2 weeks. You won't be disappointed. Thanks Joanne and everyone there for your services. -Pam

So I wish I could give this place a 5star because they are so sweet and they were really nice to my son. However I can't. 1) they took too long for a powder dip mani on my regular nails(Over an hr, with no wait). 2) hasn't even been 24hrs and my thumb nail has already cracked and has a piece chipped off, which I will go back today for them to fix. $40 mani powder(tip is cash only).

I have been coming to this salon for a few months now after the previous nail salon I frequented no longer satisfied my needs. I normally come here to get a mani/pedi on a Mon/Tues/Wed (which is great since they have a $20 mani/pedi special). It is pretty busy even on a weekday at non-peak hours, but I've never had a problem walking in without an appointment (usually less than a 10 min wait). The girls do a great job, especially with the pedicure massage. Most of the girls are meticulous, providing just the right amount of pressure in their massage technique. Their massage chairs also work -- and are great (I make it a point to mention this, because my previous salon had a chair that was out of service for months and they made no effort to fix it!) The salon is also clean and their towels always smell so fresh! Their nail polish selection is on the meager side, which isn't a problem for me since I have a bit of a nail polish addiction and bring my own anyway. You may not always be greeted with a, "hello" when you walk in the door, but the girls are genuinely nice and provide great service-- and for a $20 bargain of a mani/pedi (Mon-Wed), I could care less if they say "goodbye" to me when I walk out!

I have mixed feelings but I don't plan on coming back. I got a pedicure and it was good but when I got to actually look at my nails, some werent fully painted. I asked the mail technician of she could color them more in and she claims I hit it....confused. She seemed like she was going to fix it but she ended up just painting one of my nails. Felt like she was pressures with another customer waiting....but still. Anyways, my mom's manicure came out nice so I can't fully complain

First time here and I loved it! I live right around the corner so it is very convenient for me. The service was fantastic and they did a very thorough job on my mani pedi. Can't beat the price either! Definitely making this my regular nail spot! Thank you!

It's so easy to make an appointment here and they give amazing service.

I went here in December because the reviews here seemed really good and also because their gel manicures were only $25. I've gone there at least 5 times since then and I really really love it there. The place is quite small, but it's really comfortable. I would suggest that you make an appointment if you want to be taken quickly, but you can always come here as a walk-in. But if you come in as a walk-in, expect to wait some time because appointments get taken before walk-ins (naturally). I have seen many people complain about not being taken immediately after walking-in and I cannot stand this. If you are going to walk-in then, like I said, you will wait some time. They are super nice and remember regulars. I love this place and will recommend it to anyone.

Green tea is a solid nail salon. I always prefer their gel manis to their regular polish ones, just because the regular manis always chip within the first day or two here. You don't NEED an appointment but it's always wise to make one, as it can get pretty busy especially later in the week. As I sit here with my toes in the drier, I can let you know that mondays are definitely a quieter time if you'd like to sneak in sans appointment. My pedicure was (an is consistently) good here. Wax on your heels, a long foot massage, and never a feeling of being rushed. The staff is friendly and polite which earns them an extra star. I'll be back soon since this is my go-to nail place when I'm in nutley.

I normally love this place but my last gel manicure was a mess. I asked her to clean it up and the gel still managed to get on my skin. Which caused it to peel and I just got it done three days ago. I tried my best to clean it up when I got home but I never hated my nails this much before. It's like a non stopping air bubble on all of my nails ughhh

I received a text notification that I was booked with Tracy so I went ahead and looked for work shes done to have an idea of what to expect as a first timer. Well, Tracy was not who I was with. I was told to go upstairs that Diana would be working on my nails. I should deduct a star for this because when I told my sister (who frequents here regularly) she said they do this often. Book you with one person but at the time of the appointment you're being seen by another. Shes requested Pilar specifically and each time it's been a new person. However, she hasn't had a bad tech yet. Keeping the five stars solely because Diana did such an amazing job for being relatively new at nails. (A little over a year of experience) Moving back to my review... As soon as I sit down Diana makes it clear that her job is to make sure I get what I came here for and that I leave here happy. Immediately optimistic about this pairing despite not having any expectation of what she can do. My biggest fear was wanting a design that she couldn't do but tried anyway and I'm stuck paying for a set that I'm going to cry about later. Happy to say that didn't happen. Shes very detail oriented. She made professional suggestions to my inspo picture and I honestly trusted her to do her thing. She sampled a couple colors for me and really took her time perfecting the design. I dont think I've seen cleaner line work... she really is only going to get better. Shes already so talented. I cant thank her enough and cant wait to see how far she goes.

Extremely Disappointed with Appointment Experience…read more I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service I received around my recent appointment. I booked well in advance for a 5:00 PM slot, only to have it repeatedly rescheduled or pushed back--without any explanation or communication from the business. No one reached out to ask if the new times worked for me, which is frustrating and unprofessional. When I contacted my tech, she told me she had to squeeze someone in. I understand that things come up, and I respect the hustle, but I booked a 5 PM appointment for a reason. I would have appreciated being informed beforehand, not just being moved around with no say in it. Because she couldn't do my soak off, I booked a separate 5:00 PM appointment with someone else, followed by my original service at 5:30. Again, both appointments got moved. On the day of, I showed up on time for my 5:00 soak off--and the person supposed to do it wasn't even there. I then got another notification that it had been moved while I was already sitting there. No one said anything to me in person. The woman at the front desk didn't acknowledge the delay, didn't apologize, and didn't offer an explanation--just sent a notification and acted as if that was enough. At that point, I had to leave. I had other appointments that I was now at risk of missing because this one was not respected. To make matters worse, the front desk called me later and spoke to me in a tone that made it seem like this was my fault, saying "Well, a soak off takes time." I do nails--I know how long a soak off takes. That's not the issue. The issue is that my time wasn't respected, and appointments were being changed without any real communication. It's truly disappointing because the nail techs are so talented. But no amount of talent makes up for bad customer service. If you want to squeeze more people in or make money during a busy season, that's understandable--but don't do it at the expense of those who booked properly and on time. Respect people's time the way you expect them to respect yours.

Most recently I had Rocio for my SNS manicure and she did a wonderful job. Mary did my gel manicure and I really enjoyed it as well. Rocio was very patient and took her time perfecting my nails. They are exactly what I envisioned. Mary gave a wonderful massage and I felt completely relaxed. Rosa is always sweet and kind when I walk in too! Overall really love this spot. So glad I stumbled upon it when I was looking for a new nail salon.

Well lets just start out by saying I was coming here for 6 months based on a referral from a beauty…read moreprofessional. Upon first coming in, it certainly wasn't as nice or high end as many local salons I've been to but I gave it a chance based on the referral. I've had very nice SNS manicures here, a few so-so spa pedicures but last Saturdays appointment took the cake. They seem to not be able to handle too many people at one time, they are tiny, and are bad with scheduling despite the emails, and multiple text reminders they send you. My doctors office doesn't send as many as they do. Please also be aware this establishment plays religious music the entire time with an accompanying video on a loop ALL DAY. No other music is ever played. Its very odd. So the brass tacks is....at this particular appointment the nail tech was not able to match the requested SNS powder to the (gel) sample that was shown to me. Results were a muddy khaki and a toothpaste color green which they tried to fix with the cat eye overlay I requested, but the results were horrible. Due to not being able to communicate with the acting manager OR the nail tech they turned my nails into a Christmas red and green when I finally asked them out of frustration and lack of time to all to be one color. They also blamed my "skin color"...not sure what that means...and I was also told it was my fault as I "chose this color" (that was not the color I chose lol). I stayed till this was fixed I wasn't about to go three weeks with this horrible combo. My previous chrome manicure from them only lasted a few days before peeling ($68.00) and revealing the bright yellow underlay, they didn't like that I mentioned that. Apparently neither did a young customer there because she started making comments and launching in on me, as the acting manager was trying to damage control my manicure and stopped working on her. Can you believe it? The rest of the customers were silent because I don't think they could believe this young girl had a problem with me trying to get the manicure I'm paying $68.00 for. IT escalated as I wasn't about to take that from anyone. The nail tech (not the manager) apologized (she still was given a $26 tip). The acting manager apparently couldn't care I was being bullied by essentially a child here... I was there close to 4 hours for a half hearted spa pedicure and this...and after all that I had to *demand* a discount as nothing at all was offered to me as an apology. I wasn't paying for my afternoon to be ruined and to be snapped at by a stranger (her and her mommy are longtime customers I'm told-5 years more important than 6 months business). So after *all* this the owner called me the next day which was SUNDAY at 4:00pm to reiterate all the same nonsense and stick up for her salon and tell me it was again my skin colors fault and that I got too big of a discount from them. No apology, no nothing yet again-she called ME. I work in NYC and also work locally part time. I have many years customer service experience...these people have a lot to learn as we slide into a recession, them being in the service industry. Don't bother with this place. ITS cramped, it's depressing, no waiting area and when you spend $$ on a pedicure you'll also have a nice view of the open bathroom. They also charge $20 extra for cat eye and chrome which is posted nowhere and have a late/ no show fee..apparently they think they are a doctors office lol. Dont even bother
