One word - PERFECTION! I never walked out of Imani J's unhappy. From a perfect manicure and pedicure, they do it all. I haven't been in a while, but Nelly IS OFF THE HOOK WITH HER NAIL DESIGNS! They also have the latest color to chose from O.P.I. and Essie and the make it easy for their clients to find the hottest trends by putting "NEW" or having the season and year right on the bottle. I've been coming to this salon for about 10 years now and they never disappoint. For starters they are very clean and disinfect everything even before the whole Covid19. I personally go to Daysi, but all the girls there are great! Definitely make an appointment because they are booked and busy! Wish I can give 100 stars!! Sooooo I found my nail salon!!!!! Ladies this is a place you must try!!! I have neverrrr experienced a nail salon that I feel completely satisfied when I walk out!!! Cristina does my nails and its quality work!!! The money I spend is worth it. I can go 3 to 4 weeks with no chipping!! The ladies are super nice and they have amazing hours!!! I came here before work and I was short on time so I got there right when they opened. I guess because they just opened my manicurist kept getting up while she was doing my nails to do other things. The place was a MESS, it was freezing cold and I couldn't tell if they didn't have any color options or if it was just really dirty and I couldn't find any. Not to mention she did a really sloppy job. I really wanted to like this place because I heard really good things about it from others but unfortunately I am really disappointed and she almost made me late to work In addition to the stores comment below, your reasoning gives no excuse for the poor service of the nail tech on the phone the whole time she was doing my nails and getting up several times while performing the service. I really enjoyed the service I got. I got the shellac gel nails for $30 and a regular pedicure for $16. I found the prices to be reasonable. they do have specials usually from monday to wednesday. i believe regular mani and pedi are $22 from mon to wed , 9:30 am- 4pm. they also have shellac with french mani and pedi for about $64. I went today around 11am and the place was very peaceful and pleasant. Maria was the girl who did both my nails and toes . she was great and fast...i was done in 1 hour. oo and i just called to ask to come in just 15 mins before i went to the nail salon. read more

I'm all for growth and learning but as a new client they should have never put me w an inexperienced nail tech . I paid $50 or so for a gel mani and reg pedi and 2 days after I already had 4 nails chip. Not to mention that my nails and feet aren't even the same shade. The nail tech was on her phone and even accepted a FaceTime while doing my pedicure. Never going there again. I'm sure the establishment as a whole is reputable but as a first time client I left very unhappy! read more

Honestly one of the worst first experience of a nail salon. This was my first time so I made an appointment I show up on time for my appointment I get sometimes you don't get helped right away but I was waiting there for over 30 mins so I got up and walked out. I wasn't greeted when I walked in I had to go up to someone. I've been getting my nails done for a while and as soon as you walk into any nail salon you are automatically greeted. Not to mention a tech was eating while doing someone's nails. I'm only giving it one star because I can't give it zero. I'm so disappointed because from what I saw they did a good job with nails. Let me start off by saying some good things about the place. They have awesome reviews, their social media Instagram page has beautiful nail designs and the staff is very friendly. Now to say the real deal. I went for the first time in April of 2017 as a walk-in customer. They took me right away (which I was grateful for, since I know there is always a waiting time). First time there, I went with the nail technician "Mari" who was very nice and did what I wanted, EXCEPT; she cut me multiple times while filing the acrylic down. SECONDLY, a man who I assume was a husband or boyfriend of a nail technician there; started to pass drinks around (Hard and soft liquor). In two occasions offered me a drink (nicely), in which I kindly declined. He the third time offered it again and told my boyfriend to "relax papi" because he had a serious face, since at this point he was getting bothered. Besides the fact that offering drinks is a HUGE liability, if I had been underage (I'm 24) and drove; the cause of liability would have been on the nail salon. All in all, my nails came out nice but the experience was horrible. Second time there, I made an appointment with Daisy for the afternoon on Good Friday. Honestly, her work is amazing. I had no complaints as to her work and design on my nails. However, it seemed the place just got messier and dirtier as the time passed. Even under remodeling or construction, areas could have been tidied up and/or cleaned. Second time there wasn't so bad, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I loved my Mani and Pedi. "Three strikes you're out." My third day there. I called the nail salon Wednesday afternoon and spoke with Mari, I made an appointment for Saturday at 2:30pm. I arrived 5 minutes earlier just out of courtesy. When I arrived I walked in, saw Daisy told her I'm here for my appointment and sat down. Two minutes later, someone else walks in and she told them "I'm ready for you." Once again, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, like hey; maybe she has to do something quick on her nails or a simple gel manicure which takes like 15-20 minutes. I didn't mind waiting. But then, it reached 3:00. Then it reached 3:30. Then it hit 3:45. Then 3:55. At that point, I just got up and walked out. I don't want this review to make it seem like the place is horrible, but as a person who's been doing her nails since the age of 13. I've seen well mannered, clean, professional nail salons in my day. I just think there has to be better management. Try this place out for yourself. You'll like the work done on your nails, I'm sure of that; just not everything else that comes with it. The pictures of nails you see online, is the exact work that will be done. They're quality of nails are excellent. I hope this salon turns out to be a well-known successful salon, but I definitely won't be going there again. Keep in mind, I paid a "pretty penny" for the services rendered. Honestly, a little sad and disappointment cuz' I definitely was excited to start getting my nails done here since I follow them on instagram and my friends do too. read more

Sensational-(Future voice) from the beginning I called many salons in the area and they all turned me down because of what I wanted done supposedly took to long.I made a quick and easy appointment and was able to get what I needed done!What a job WELL DONE!I ended up staying an hour past closing and even messed my nails a couple times after the fact sheesh! I was going to rate this place five stars but unfortunately it turned out to be an unpleasant experience. I decided to try Imani j out just because it had great reviews. The problem wasn't my nails, they did an excellent job. I thought my nails were dry and ready to go, so as soon as I went to pay I accidentally ruined only one of them. I Felt very horrible because they had to redo it. I know how that feels but....We are all human beings accidents happen. I've had many job experiences and dealt with all types of people. It's always important to remain professional at all times. Otherwise you'd give the company or business a horrible reputation based on your attitude In this case me as the customer wasn't being rude at all. I was very friendly and polite with all of them. The employee was a rude woman. I don't know what her name was but she's light-skinned with medium long dark brown hair. I would've appreciated it more if she made faces behind my back. She had the audasity to give me a nasty look right after I apologized kindly. She made me feel as if I've committed a crime. Extremely rude. I can understand if I was being rude or unreasonable then they would treat me that way. Even after leaving a great tip to The other girl that did my nails, not even a thank you have a great day. All of them turned nasty just because only one was ruined. God for bid if 3 or 4 were ruined they would've kicked me out of the nail salon. Will never return back. This has to be the worst nail salon in Passaic. Their overpriced, the colors are old and your nails will chip quickly even if it's uv gel. The staff is rude and will talk shit about you in Spanish. I only went there one time just to try a new nail salon in my area and I regret it. I will never step foot in this raggedy salon ever again. read more

Awesome pedicure. It was perfect. The mani was good could have lasted a bit longer. I was super careful not to clean or do dishes but still chipped a few nails in a couple of days....I know, I know get gel but I don't want to be committed to getting my nails done every other week. Salon was a bit on the messy side I was a little surprised they used the same tools on me and on the next lady. I saw a sign that said it costs $10 to get new tools. They Should just use new ones on everyone and charge a bit more. read more
