Just astoundingly good service. Johnny has been doing this stuff for 30 years, and patiently explained what was going on (GFCI, air switch). He fixed our jet tub in an hour, and did it all neatly. Having a technician who is deeply experienced and also super nice is a rare treat. Field Tech was great, but office personnel failed to follow up, were rude and dishonest, and tried to charge an additional service call fee because they didn't follow up as they should have and had to send the Field Tech back out. We received a verbal repair quote that included additional service call charge. We asked that service call charge be removed. We received quote that removed the $99 service charge, but they added $99 to install costs to make same bottom line! DISHONEST. read more

Background - We had 3 companies try to fix it before that, they either did not come back or botched the repair and said it was too old... Called them to fix a pump on my hot tub. They did but a day and 1/2 later called me to say I had a leak and it needed to be fixed for $300+ after they had charged me $900+ for the pump and said the leak caused the first failure. So were they going to let this one ruin too? First of all, the tech or office should have called me that day to say not to run the pump due to the leak. But their lack of customer service and responsibility would have caused me to lose the expensive pump they replaced. I do not recommend them at all for this low level of response. On the promise that he would hunt down parts that could fit an American Standard; hardly a unknown name, he disappeared having abandoned the plan- so now its 2 months later and I'm out 90 bucks for nothing. Air button wasn't working. Called spa inspectors and they had a very nice fellow out the same day. My tub didn't have an access panel and he not only got the switch working but installed the access panel. I was very pleased with how efficient he was and with the price. You only have one chance to make a first impression...and this one sucked. Made an appointment for a sauna inspection and repair estimate using the company's website which has fields to make appointment time choices, i.e. Morning/Afternoon. They called twice before the day of the scheduled service and when I asked for a time frame to work with I was told on both occasions the repair tech would call and let me know when to expect me. For an afternoon appointment choice, he showed up at 9:09am and wanted to start work. I was unavailable and asked if he could come back at 10:45 so I could rearrange my schedule. He said he would do another job and then come back. He also said no one uses the appointment form field for choosing a time. Why have it on the website then? Didn't hear from him and called at 2:20pm. He left after the first job and never bothered to let me know. He said he couldn't wait. When I spoke to the company manager, she was completely unaware that you could book an appointment time frame on the website; she had to go to the actual webpage to see it. Her reaction? No one has ever used that before. The tech said the office should have called, the office said the tech should have called. Does this sound like a company that warrants having a $150 charge just to come by and take a look? I don't think so either. We will not be calling back and advise that unless you like the look of a circular firing squad, you find someone else to work with. read more

Took weeks after the initial service call and numerous phone calls for them to order parts and schedule a time to do the repair. Once they came out to do the repair they overcharged on the hourly rate. The repairman was only here 2 hours and we were billed 3 hours at 100 plus dollars an hour. Called management and they asked for video proof that the tech was only there 2 hours as they say he was he 4 hours per the paperwork. I would stay away from the company they are not honest I provided security videos showing the actual time the tech was on site (This was requested by them)showing he was onsite for 2 hours. Since then I have not heard back from them. They seem to be very dishonest and just provide a generic excuse. read more

On my multiple calls to this company they have advised they cannot get the manufacturer to answer though I've called the manufacturer and got an answer multiple times. We recently contacted Spa Inspectors to repair our hot tub. They were very quick to respond and sent Johnny to our home within a few days. Johnny was very professional and provided excellent service. Through conversation, he learned that our jetted bath tub also had an issue. He trouble shot both items and ordered the correct parts. Paid for two techs and blue die to find a leak in my hot tub that was never found (almost 300.00) and the manager wanted to charge me an additional 315.00 to clean out the blue die they had put in. They charge us $90 to come to the house and check the leaks & lights the charge $414 for a work that was done by one of the Tech who was so lazy to do the work and after spending 5 minutes left the job site. We bought a La-Z boy spa from spa inspectors and the whole process worked great. The unit itself is amazing and has been a great joy. It's relaxing in the evening and has helped the bit of back pain I had from sitting all day. Spa Inspectors installed all the equipment, cleaned up the the yard well, and showed me how to operate the cover (which was not totally intuitive.) I expect the La-Z boy to last for a long time but whenever we get another spa, we'll use spa inspectors again. read more

Although the technician showed up on time and was professional the price was outrageous! I was charges $89.00 for a service call then an additional $62.50 to install a fuse. The total time was less than 30 minutes. I called and asked why it was so high and was told I WAS GIVEN A BREAK ON LABOR. $151.50 for less than 30 minutes work is robbery. I would leave no stars but I cannot do that. I live 4 miles south of the Kemah Boardwalk and knew this company was far from me but I was willing to pay the $99 service fee for their repair guy to come out and repair my whirlpool tub. I was scheduled for March 4th, 2016 and received a phone call on Friday, February 26th that an opening was available for Monday, February 29th. Due to my husband and I having to work I wanted to keep my original appointment and was told that wasn't going to work so I reluctantly agreed to the Monday appointment. The technician called Monday morning to say he would be at my home between 12pm and 2pm. I left work to be at home during my designated appointment time and waited. At 2:25pm I received a call that the technician was not going to be able to be at my home at all. Needless to say I am not happy. I asked if the tech could come on Friday when my husband would be home from work and was told no he is booked up that day and Wednesday is my only option. I'm very confused why he is booked that day and why I couldn't keep my original appointment. Quite frankly I think the person booked this Friday should have to reschedule their appointment because it was supposed to be mine anyway. At this point it sounds to me the one tech they have that works on whirlpool bath tubs simply didn't want to drive all the way out to my home. I would not recommend this company even if you live near them if at all. All they had to day was we tell me don't service my area and that would have been fine but now I'm out half a day of vacation time and my tub is still broken. Poor customer service especially when she told me it's my motor that needs to be repaired and he only had one on the truck and had to use it at the job he was stuck on. Why in the world would you not have enough parts on your truck for the amount of jobs you have for the day?! 6 months of Hell! Home warranty repair for filter. Spa Inspectors replaced my 400 sq. ft. with a 100 sq. ft. model! After I consulted an attorney in the matter and told the HW company about the fraud, SI came back out. Carl tried to take my old parts (which I had kept for evidence) to dispose of the evidence of their fraud. I physically had to pull the parts back out of his hands! Filter went out in August and was FINALLY replaced in February! Carl rerouted my plumbing and removed my filter drain/backwash valve. This was a working Jandy valve and costs over $80 new! When I called asking for my missing valve, Tom said that Carl had thrown it away. BEWARE! I still have all of my evidence, including all of the old parts (except for the missing valve) and numerous photos, including pics of the missing valve. I truly believe that, if I had not consulted an attorney and threatened the home warranty company with litigation, Spa Inspectors would have continued to defraud me and others. I am ESPECIALLY upset that, both times, they took advantage of my disabled wife and her lack of knowledge! Additionally, NO paperwork was left for the replacement filter, including an owners manual. read more

This company fixed my hot tub heater and besides them seeming to be obsessed with getting paid upfront the service was fine. They call you the morning of the appointment and THEN tell you in what window they are coming so you can't plan your day ahead of time. Shortly after we moved homes and asked that they move our hot tub and said they could no problem. They were going to show up Sunday and never did and of course the office was closed. So Monday at 1:00 I called to see what had happened and the guy picked up the phone and was like i know i know. If you know you stood me up why didn't you call this morning and apologize and reschedule? So he said he would call back and reschedule and never did. Call someone else. You can do way better than these rude people who stand you up and only care about getting paid ahead of time. The company I did use was GREAT! read more

Very disappointed with this company. It has great reviews however my experience is totally opposite. I placed an order online, received confirmation, and my credit card was charged. Several weeks later I still have not received my items so I began calling Spa Inspectors, I placed numerous calls, over three weeks, once my call was placed on forget (25 minutes) before I hung-up. I called several more times and finally today I was told they sent me an email the same day my order was placed to inform me the items are no longer available and my credit card was refunded. WARNING! Read reviews before doing business with this company! Sometimes I question authenticity of 5 stars. Similar happened to me as the guy in 2011. Technician came out to replace a jet cover, broke the hot tub, billed me for the damages. As similar to another reviewer on a Google review, then the owner threaten to sue me if I didn't pay. The quote was for $85 however, total bill was over $450. BTW, enjoy the trip charge to tell you it's broken, then the multiple appoints that are spaced out by 5 to 6 weeks.
