I really wanted to like this nail spa - the employees were nice and the price is unbeatable, but the quality was just bad. They dug too much into the side of my toe and left it injured and at risk of infection for a few days. It was very painful! And then when we went to remove our nail polish the polish left a bad residue on both of our nails. The tops of the nails looked damaged, dry, and brittle. Perhaps the manicures are better! read more

I have been coming here for 5 years and appreciate all the workers and all they do for the customers. Super clean and organized. They do excellent work with my manicure, pedicure, gel nails and I love the little shoulder massages they give at the end of each procedure that sometimes I buy a 10 or 15 minute massage just to complete my day. Totally recommend! read more

Stumbled across this place while I was going home. I was hesitant going in because the sign looks old. I went in nevertheless. The lady that did my nails carefully remove my old gel nails and file and shaped it according to my choice. I saw that there was a sanitized microwave looking box when she took out the cuticle cutter. She asked me if I wanted to cut the sides of my fingernail before she actually cuts it and I said no and she respected that. After almost finished my with my nails, I noticed that one of my nails were not even and she gladly fixed it up. She gave me mini hand massage and back massage when she finished with the nail job. Overall this place was great, I'm glad I went inside and do my nails read more

The folks here are always so kind! I love my gel tips. They are the length, shape, and color I wanted!

I went into the shop because of the Mon- Wed special mani and pedi at $28 (actually $29). It appeared the staff was busy except for the gentleman who asked me to pick a color. After testing out the colors, I realized that he was going to be my nail technician for this treatment. He was rather nice and gentle (I'm 9 months pregnant)! However I have had much better pedis in my days. I am trying not to be sexist but he wasnt a part of the usual technician staff. Fortunately he didnt do my mani and one of the older women took over for him. The mani was much better! read more

How long must a woman wait to get a good pedicure? Well. To be exact SIX LONG MONTHS. Call for an appointment because of the new Covid 19 rules and regulations. Be ready to wear a mask, sign in and have your temperature taken. After that, pick your color and get ready to be pampered. And feel safe. And your toes will look amazing. The staff is genuinely happy to see us and we were happy to see them. We have been frequenting this salon for a while. Thankful for such a great, safe and relaxing experience. read more

I can't say enough about Spa Boutique! They're incredibly responsive with appointments and/or questions. You're always greeted with a smile when you walk in. Every technician that has worked on me is meticulous & wonderful, regardless if I'm there for a regular mani/pedi or if I want a design on each nail. They're 100% with Covid protocols since they've opened back up again, which is extremely reassuring. They were always very clean & tidy even before Covid, so that makes sense. I'd truly be happy with any of the techs working there, they always do great work! read more

They did a great job! It was my first time visiting this salon and they surprised me by how cheap it was for a manicure. I paid $11.50 for a manicure and even got a back massage with it while my nails were drying. I highly recommend. read more

Love love love this place! I have been going to this place for a year now and never had any complaints about the quality and service. If you have to choose a nail spa in Park Slope. I definitely recommend this one!!! read more

This has been our go-to for 10+ years, I won't even go to the nail salon across the street from me because this one is so much better. The service is always high quality and manicures last a long time. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. Only thing is it's pretty hot during summer. read more

I had seen the mixed reviews of this place but decided to go for it anyway because it was convenient and the price was right. Unfortunately, the guy I got did not seem to know what he was doing. The massage part was nice, I'll give them that, but if I had just wanted a massage I would have gone to get a massage. The actual painting was painstakingly slow and he kept smearing the polish, and he had to redo !4!! nails total, making it even slower. Once I got home, I realized that the top layer didn't match the bottom layer but instead was painted a bit further in from the edge, leaving a big bump around the sides of each nail (probably because he was worried he would smear it again on the second coat). On top of that, he had super long and pointy nails himself that kept poking me. Now, 3 days later, my cuticles are all peeling. Maybe their other manicurists are more skilled, I only went the one time, but needles to say I won't be returning. read more

The BEST nail salon in park slope. Their spa pedicure is lovely and I've always had a wonderful leg massage no matter the service. Kind, friendly, clean, affordable! read more

I just had the best mani/pedi that I have ever had anywhere. I called in at 5:30 on Sunday night and they took me right away. Although they were near to closing, Cindy took her time with my mani/pedi. I have never had such a thorough foot/calf/hand/forearm/upper back massage with any mani/pedi. I walked out of there almost an hour later feeling that they truly cared about pleasing their clientele. All of that for a very reasonable price which ended in a very nice tip for Cindy. I took her name down on their card and will book with her in the future. Thanks Spa Boutique Nails. read more

Exceptional service every time! We have been coming here for mani/pedi for over 2 years... Staff is friendly and competent. Now, post-pandemic they have been great about following all infection prevention policies: curtains, gloves, masks, sanitizing between clients. Feel comfortable and safe... Will keep coming! read more

I ended up here when my usual nail salon couldn't accommodate me. It's a pretty ordinary, bare-bones type of nail salon but boy the service was great. I felt like the attention to detail on my mani pedi was super and the massage was much more than just cursory. Would be very happy to return. read more

I have been a customer approximately 2 weeks after they opened their doors and never looked at any other salon even though I have five within a 2 block radius. That was 11 1/2 years ago. The owner and the nail technicians are the best. Service with a smile. There's a core staff that's always there; very little turnover. Like most people, I have 2 favorites,Ying and Tall Cindy, but all of the spa technicians are superb. From the pedi to the mani and everything in between. They have always maintained a high level of sanitation irrespective of Covid-19,therefore I wasn't worried about returning on July 7, 2020 and brought 2 girlfriends with me.I have not had to do my own feet and nails for 25 years. Next time around nail salons are an essential service, especially Spa Boutique in Park Slope. Dr Gaynelle Williams read more

I love the care they take doing my nails. I generally get a pedicure, but this time splurged for manicure. My nails look great and they last a long time! Absolutely the best nail salon in the neighborhood! All of the technicians are true professionals and so friendly. Excellent service and care! I've been going here for years for their gel manis and pedis. The nail techs are extremely meticulous and accommodating. I choose nail salons based on two criteria: 1. Proximity to my home or work 2. Effectiveness of massage chairs I secretly suspect that anyone who claims to do otherwise is lying. Spa Boutique Nails gets four stars because they're two blocks from my house, and if you select "rolling" and "kneading" on the massage chairs they won't pound your back like you're a vending machine that ate their quarters. Aside from that their tools are clean, the atmosphere is moderately relaxing (could have done without the 9/11 retrospective on the TVs tonight, though, guys - not exactly what I want to think about while I'm getting my sunday evening mani/pedi), the staff is cheerful, and they give a damn good chair massage. The nail color selection is decent, although they have an annoying habit of not putting colors back after people use them, so all the good ones are scattered around the manicure stations while you're standing there at the rack trying to choose between twenty-five discontinued shades of brown. Their manis do tend to chip after a few days - although honestly, the only manicure I've ever gotten that didn't was in an airport in Salt Lake City. Since I don't spend a lot of time communing with the Latter Day Saints, I'll take what I can get with proximity and massage chairs. read more

I stopped in after moving apartments all weekend for a pedicure, and it was SUCH a pleasant surprise. For $20, you really don't expect much, but they were awesome - polite, efficient, thorough, long on the foot massage (and shoulder massage). My feet looked (and felt) 100% better. Will definitely be back, probably way more often than I should. Also, I tend to be wary about cleanliness in nail salons - particularly the affordable ones - and I got a good vibe from this one. read more

I love Spa Nail Boutique. Mei & the ladies are masters at what they do. I haven't lived in Park Slope for 6 years but I still come back 1x every 2 weeks to get my Nails done. About two months ago I decided to really try to stop biting my nails. My co-workers suggested I start getting weekly manicures, which is what I have been doing and I am happy to report that it works. I've had a couple of relapses in biting off one nail, but for the most part, I look like a human now! I started by going to Pink Nails on 5th Avenue, which I believe is also an awesome shop, but I started going to Spa Boutique Nails as it is much much closer to my apartment. The folks at Spa Boutique are very nice. I've only had to wait once, when I stopped in on a particularly busy night after work. Typically, I get to sit right down and get my nails worked on. The manicure is what you would expect. They shape your nails, clean up the cuticles and give an amazing hand massage. There's one girl in particular who works the muscles in my hands like you wouldn't believe. I had some trouble with keeping the color from smearing the first few times I went in, until I realized I needed to pay the extra $1 for quick-dry. Once I got that under control, I've had zero problems. I've had one pedicure here, which was good. The leg/foot massage was lacking, but not to the point that I was annoyed. My favorite part of this shop is the massage you get while waiting for your nails to dry. Pink Nails gives a nice massage, but they step it up here. If Pink Nails gives a 45 second massage, these guys give you a 3 minute massage. And they get in there! It's very relaxing. I've been tempted to drop another $10 sometime to get the chair massage, but I haven't done it yet. Soon... read more

Most of ladies here are great. They do great jobs and the price is right. The reasons for -2 stars are: 1. Skills of staff are not even. In particular, two guys there do mediocre job. Also, some ladies are rough. They sometimes cut my skin. 2. I am not sure how sanitary all the tools here are. That makes me worry every time they cut my skin!! But, if you are lucky enough to get one of the most skillful ladies who are great for both manicure and massage, $30 for manicure, pedicure, and massage is pretty unbeatable. So I'm hoping they will upgrade their sanitization routine soon! read more

I find the service a little surly, but the salon is very clean, spacious and has great massage chairs. I only usually get pedis in there which are a little pricey ($19) but it is Park Slope. However, my pedis last for ages and don't chip, as well as being mega shiny. Maybe I'm especially weird, but I love it when your calves get punched during a pedi coupled with the massage chairs which have some extra violent settings. I love a good massage chair, and these have a variety of massaging, rolling and kneading motions. The shoulder massage you get at the end regardless of your treatment is a nice touch too. They do charge a $1 extra for quick dry drops, so be aware of that. However it makes my colour last much longer, so it's not too bad. read more

Whenever I walk past this place it's always busy, so I went in last week to take advantage of the $21.99 mani-pedi special (Mon-Wed) and was enormously, pleasantly surprised. I was shown to a (clean, dry) pedi chair after choosing my color and was seen to promptly. I was offered the regular choices -- file or cut (file), regular or spa (regular) -- and my tech eagerly showed me how to use the massage chair (no thanks). Let me stress that my attendant was METICULOUS about every aspect of my pedicure. They definitely skimp on things like leg massage and there was no exfoliating scrub involved (though that might be reserved for spa pedis), but holy hell if the job they did wasn't just as good as a treatment with all the bells and whistles. My manicure was the same story. They've absolutely perfected the "square with rounded edges" thing, and there was only one teeny-tiny bubble that was probably my fault anyway. Like the semi-defunct leg massage during my pedi, the "massage while you dry" was half-assed. I did see a lot of women opting for 10-minute chair massages though, so I think I'll splurge and try that next time. A little over a week later, my toes still look great and my nails (sans polish -- that lasted about 5 days) look well-kept. All in all, this place is low on fancy stuff and may not be the prettiest salon on the planet, but it's def my new neighborhood go-to, especially for the mon-wed special. read more

Quick, precise, affordable & professional service. Nothing too fancy about it, but these ladies (and some men) are very meticulous and helpful. Some of the best manicures & pedicures I've ever received. And they are always really courteous and precise with eyebrow waxing. For $20 you get a pretty great pedicure. The chairs have a full massage function, the feet bowls are covered in plastic to sanitation (my mom is big on making sure of this), and they are polite and professional. The foot massage was nice too! Will be coming back. read more

I just moved to the area and needed to find a good local place to get a manicure and pedicure and I didn't need to look very far! Every time I've come here, I've been greeted and quickly seated to either start my pedicure or get a manicure. As some have mentioned before, you should ask that you get the quick-dry base coat because it will help when drying. I've never had a smudge, so I would say it works. It does cost $1 extra though. They will usually ask you how you want your nails trimmed -- either filed or cut, and if you want your cuticles trimmed. I think that is nice rather than just doing what they think looks good. They also have TVs set up -- one in the front, which is usually tuned to a day-time talk show, and one in the back, tuned to a movie channel. I've had mixed results with how long my manicures have lasted, once where it was messed up by the end of the week and another where it lasted almost 2 weeks, but overall I've been very pleased and will continue to come here. read more

Spa Boutique Nails - Love it - Nail Salons Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Sorry Spa Boutique Nails, but I had such a terrible experience at your spa 3 weeks ago that I had to downgrade a star. Several things happened that are unexcusable to me at a nail salon, especially one I'd been faithful to for three years (which is why I think it went so far), but it was really bad: 1. I went to a new (?) woman, seems to be somehow in charge/related to who's in charge, which is why (I'm trying to assume the best here), she dropped my foot while pumice-ing it to go to front desk (with no explanation) and leave me hanging for nearly 5 min (she apologized after, but it was still weird). Don't go to a woman you've never seen there before. And don't go during a busy time - I think I got stuck with her because it was Saturday afternoon. 2. She made my cuticle bleed, badly. She was often not paying attention, but it's difficult to tell if it's not paying attention or incompetence. 3. She gave me an ingrown toenail. Only when I left did I see she'd cut a divet (!!! it's like lesson 101 of pedicures!) into my big toe nail rather than just cutting across - I'm still suffering from it. I just moved out of the neighborhood, up the Slope, and when I went to another salon was struck by how long my polish lasted (over a week before chips v. Spa Boutique Nail which was chipping within days on toes and fingers). I wanted to be faithful to them, but now I'd say only if you really need a mani/pedi and have little cash. Finally - the visit prior to this one was the first time I did a non-eyebrow wax there. I'll spare you yelpers the details, but let's say I do NOT recommend bikini wax there - trust me that she really had no idea what to do and I had to direct her. She then apologized to me later - I think something about the normal woman who does waxes not being there? I would say, then don't offer waxes, it was totally awkward and not worth it. read more
