Each space inside Spa Bliss is beautiful and supports the flow of calm, positive energy. My massage therapist gave me a divine Swedish massage using just the right amount of pressure in a gorgeous private room while my friends were each in their own private massage rooms. Afterward, we relaxed in yet another serene sitting room until we were ready to leave. I am very disappointed in the quality of this company. The front desk receptionist is very judgmental and she doesn't understand how to properly communicate. We were given two gift certificates for two massages. I am 37 weeks pregnant and was experiencing contractions the day we had originally had scheduled- my doctor advised me to not go into the massage and wait for another day in the event of labor. Which I called and reschedule and was told I was going to be charged the rescheduling fee of $100. I obliged without any trouble. Like I said I am 37 weeks pregnant, I accidentally double booked our massages again today and called to make sure the booking was received. Then my fiancé gets upset because she said since I double booked she will be charging us again. At this point she starts saying how someone is yelling over the phone and getting very rude- I say in a very calm voice- "ma'am it is quite over here. I apologize you think you hear loudness. I would like to not use your services but as we have it, we will see you for our appointment this morning." In return I received a lot of "mhm yeah sure" We haven't had our massages yet and if it wasn't a thoughtful gift then we wouldn't care about our money and not even go. I will update my review after being seen with the quality of the massage. But I would not recommend this spa as of now due to they're website being sloppy and their staff being inappropriate. UPDATE: We arrived for our massages a few minutes late due to an insane amount of construction and street closures. The receptionist (who happens to be the owner) was nicer than on the phone and had us fill out paperwork. The spa had a not so pleasant smell which is probably just the pregnancy hormones but I wasn't a fan and neither was my fiancé. It was very dark which was probably just for the aesthetic but it was almost too dark. We were given complementary water and tea. We had our massages done and they were a little shorter than the time booked due to our tardiness. The massages were relaxing and the therapists, Kelsey- prenatal & Tionna- sports, were friendly. It was hot stone day so my fiancé was given stones at no charge but I was not, probably because of the position of the massage, but it would have been nice. Definitely not the best massage I've had but good enough. For some reason my shoulder hurts more than how it originally felt going in but I assume it will settle. I added on a foot mask during the massage and then a facial after. The aesthetician, Aisha, as wonderful, pleasant, and knowledgeable. Of course we left a tip for the ones who worked on us but I don't ever see us going back to this spa. I highly recommend SPA BLEU on BULL STREET if you are in the area. After scheduling the appointment, I got nervous thinking about being unmasked in a small room with one other person for an hour, especially before traveling home for Thanksgiving (I'm vaccinated but break through cases do occur). I called to ask if my massage therapist was vaccinated. The owner emphatically told me that THE WHOLE STAFF IS VACCINATED against COVID and that all staff mask while working. I can't tell you how at ease this left me. I'm happy to support a business that prioritizes the health of it's clients in this way. Jaree was my massage therapist and he was great - very professional when it came to draping and was very responsive when I asked for subtle changes in pressure. This was my first time at Spa Bliss and I have to say, I've never been to another place like it. As soon as you walk in, you just feel zen. It's so nicely decorated and smells so good. There is mood music throughout as well. They thought of every little detail. There is cool lighting throughout, whether it be from candles, salt lamps or warm colored bulbs and it smelled like essential oils and candles... soothing and not overpowering. There are several treatment rooms and each one was prettier than the next. I got a 90 minute massage by Jaree. He was so wonderful and made me feel comfortable from the start. My lower back was really tense and he really focused on the area at my request. My daughter got a gel manicure in literally the nicest room I've ever seen. Makes any other nail salon look horrible. Roselyn, the owner, did her manicure and it has lasted several days. If you want a zen experience, relaxation, professional treatments, with quality products, this is your place. I came here while on vacation, it was one of the few spas open during Covid. My friend and I both got facials and massages and enjoy them so much. There's a lot of add-ons to choose from as well which I really appreciated. For my massage I opted to add on a scalp massage and for my facial I opted to add on micro dermabrasion, derma planing, and eyebrow wax. I just had an hour massage with the guy (William McCumber) he cannot be a trained massage therapist. He did not do any pressure points. He never touched my feet or barely did my legs. If I could give this place a zero I would. The prices changed for additional 30 minutes but I'm glad I didn't do a 90 minute massage like I planned to. I have had many massages in my life, but my massage here with Jara was truly spectacular. Not only did she provide an incredible deep tissue massage, but it was truly a feast of the senses. Different textures, heated towels, essential oils, stretching, leading me through meditative breathing, all while working through the incredible tightness and stress that I have in my back, neck, scalp and entires body.
