The spa is small, but clean, bright, and tranquil. Tucked away in the JW Marriott Powerplant district, you can visit here during your hotel stay or make it part of a shopping/dining day. I had the CBD oil massage (80 minutes) with the scalp massage incorporated in. I hate that most spas won't let you do a service in addition to, rather than making it part of your allotted time. That being said, the scalp massage did not impress me and next time I would skip it. But I think the CBD oil really did lend to relaxing me. I was also impressed my spa professional didn't forget my feet and gave me a bit of a foot massage. The room was dark and tranquil. The robe was cushy, fluffy, and luxe. And it was big enough for someone my size. The locker room was clean and had a shower and vanity if you needed to get ready to go somewhere after your treatment. The spa bed was comfortable and the waiting area was velvety with a dark, relaxing color scheme. They had lemon water, coffee, and snacks. Kate was professional, and though maybe a little heavy on the elbow, she listened when I told her too much, and did a great job overall. A little sore, but felt better afterward. The front desk staff was also attentive and helpful. They offer various types of massages, CBD, prenatal, hot stone, scalp, foot reflexology, etc. Prices are pretty on point with the market average. I like that employees get a known amount up front. My service was 315 for 80 minutes massage and scalp treatment, then Kate got 63 dollars. I chose to tip a little extra, but I like knowing she is being paid a living wage up front and I could choose to tip extra or not. read more

We had the best treatments yesterday. We had facials and a massage. The entire experience was fantastic from the moment you walk in. The staff can't be nicer and welcoming, the relaxing room is gorgeous and offers tea/water snacks etc. The treatment rooms are gorgeous and the beds are so comfortable, first time the face cradle didn't bother my face during a massage. My masseuse was outstanding, I can't remember her name but I'd come back to see her if I get another trip here. read more

Message was good but they forgot my add on facial mask. They did make up for it by giving me a discounted service and gave me the mask to take home. Loved the waiting area, very relaxing while waiting for the service. My only problem was I did say I was there for "relaxing" message and noted that my neck and shoulders were areas of concern so she really went hard on those areas. So much so that I was very sore for several days after. I did say I can handle "medium" pressure so I guess her medium was different than mine. Overall everything was good and I will just be more mindful of how I want pressure wise! Would book again! read more

The cleanliness of the spa needs to be assessed. The robes were fraying and looked very dingy. The facial machine had residue on it from past services, they also didn't have the product for one of the services I booked well in advance but they "made up" for it by using some eye patches. The spa waiting areas and locker rooms are extremely small and don't provide any privacy. The staff were very sweet, that's the only thing I enjoyed about the experience. The JW is not what we thought it would be and we've both decided we won't be coming back. The amount of money you spend should mean you're getting 5 star services. The service in all parts of the resort is mediocre. read more

I went in for a massage today and saw Tanner! He was super sweet and gave a wonderful relaxing massage. He gave me a briefing on the steps for the massage, and asked me if I need any focus areas/places to avoid. His technique and style was unique and incorporated different kinds of stretching which I loved. The facility was very beautiful, with a relaxing waiting room that I fell asleep in. The front desk receptionist was so kind, helping me figure out the best treatment to get for my wants and needs, while describing each enhancement and treatment for me. She gave me a tour the day before, and I got in the next day. They also had refreshments, warm neck pillows, and a locker room with a robe and sandals to change into. Definitely cool to check out if you are staying at the JW Marriott. read more

this is a fabulous spa. first off, the team at reception was not only delightful and friendly, but so incredibly helpful. they were patient, answered all my questions, and made sure I picked the perfect service for me. also, the massage I got was one of the best I've had. the therapist listened to all my needs and applied perfect pressure and I felt wonderful after. the aesthetician who did my facial was fantastic! Had booked a couple's massage over the holidays. When we arrived, they asked if we would like any enhancements. I wanted to foot exfoliating treatment, but told the lady at the front desk that I would need to be sure it didn't contain salicylates because I am allergic. She said to just let them know. When my husband and I got back to the room, the lady asked if I was getting the foot treatment. As I begin to explain, her response was that I needed to drop that then. I told her she could look or I could either one. She said she had no way of knowing. The other lady said she would try to look. As they walked off, the lady doing my massage let out a loud sigh. We had a bad massage followed by terrible customer service. The manager at this spa is pretty open about how incompetent she is. The quality of massage is far under what you would expect from a luxury spa/resort. Very junior people who give bad massages. Possibly the best massage I've ever had. Spa in JW Marriott. Nice waiting area. Nita provided forms to sign in. Locker room is tiniest I've ever seen. Not meant for more than 2 people, though shower and lockers are nice. Room for massage was spacious, clean and semi-lit. Music was relaxing. Enjelia (Laya for short) was fantastic. Great attitude. Engaged in conversation, then quiet. For deep tissue portion, thankfully did not use elbows. Really got into knots with just the write amount of strength. Great hands. She was great at getting through knots and tense muscles. Very professional. So good I rebooked for an 80 minute massage 2 days later. 50 minutes was great but, since I've found outstanding professional massages are rare, longer massage even better.
