Chipped nails 12 hours after my manicure
    Karen W.

Sadly, this was not the special mother's day experience I had hoped for. I booked a custom package for two which was to include a eucalyptus reflexology foot massage and spa manicures. When we arrived our massage therapists seemed to not know about the eucalyptus reflexology and thought we were getting a different massage. What we received was just a basic foot massage, zero reflexology. Then we went downstairs for manicures. The manicure area is very cramped, we kept bumping into each other because your backs touch the person behind you. The woman who did my mani was very nice and friendly but sadly my manicure wasn't good. She did not polish down to the base of nail, there was no hand massage or lotion. My nails were chipped less than 12 hours later and 2 days later completely ruined. My mom had a much better manicure experience and everyone was very nice so that's why I gave 2 stars instead of 1.

Receipt. FAQ's Credit card tab doesn't work

First Impressions: A clean and cute Spa offering a variety of services and unique, handmade items. The decor was tasteful and comfortable. We had a good start. We arrive 20 minutes early and were offered beverages. The receptionist notified our masseuses then she gave us a verbal tour of the facility. An upstairs bathroom near the massage rooms would have been great, but unfortunately they only had one downstairs. Ambience: One masseuse, Kayla mentioned that we could start earlier if we desired. We agreed and were asked to excuse the ongoing renovations upstairs. As we walked up, we saw several workers with equipment, in adjacent rooms. This was not exactly the first thing I wanted to see. I thought, "I wish I would have known in advance, I would have waited." My second thought was "I hope it's not noisy." Anyway, we were already there and it was too late to cancel, so we proceeded. Thankfully we were far enough away from the renovations to hear anything. Fingers crossed, maybe they'll install a bathroom. :) Masseuses & Massages: Kayla and Vicky were great!! They were attentive and listened to our requests. I'd definitely request them again! Big Cons: After our massages, the 2 gentlemen were still renovating rooms. Their work dispersed dust on a small table upstairs, the stairs and the banister! Unbelievable and YUCK!!! I should have taken a picture! Really, I could see my footsteps on the stairs!!! How could anyone think this was OK??!! After we checked out, I asked Catherine if they offered a Military discount. She stated "Yes we do." I replied "I'm sorry, I forgot to ask for it." She pleasantly answered, "Well maybe next time!" She didn't even offer to rerun the transaction. I know, I should have asked, but seriously, I just wanted to leave! Shortly after we left, she emailed my receipt. I was shocked to see a 3% credit card processing fee added to my bill. Was it not an option for me to pay by cash? If so, it wasn't even offered! There's no mention of a fee on their website. The Debit Credit card info tab does work, along with 2 others under their FAQ's tab. I'm very disappointed and feel as if this company is more concerned with making money than providing quality customer service! I seriously doubt if I'll return!

This salon, although I'm sure is decent, wanted $135 for a gel x nail service. My nails are very basic, but I like quality but I'm not fancy. I'm sure there are other salons in the area that do just as good for quite a bit less. Willing to pay, but c'mon!

Decoration and vibe was so nice during the holiday!

Was visiting Savannah for a a few days and needed some me time ... Pleasantly surprised at services and customer care as I was a walk in easy location in the heart of city buzz I shopped and got pampered Lisa gave me 90 min massage and boy she def got all those knots and stress out! I added the scalp massage and aromatherapy the Moroccan geranium a def must ! Caitlyn was amazing and knowledgeable gave me an amazing facial with Eminence products I left glowing! Also got a ghost story of lovely little Martha a gentle spirit ...just ask them Will visit again next time in Savannah

I went in a couple of days ago with acrylics on looking for those to be taken off and a gel manicure to be put on. Before I even got in the chair my nail tech acted disappointed and upset about my acrylics and started telling me how it's going to be difficult. she spent an hour and a half just taking off the acrylics, all i asked for was to have them taken off and gel put on but i'm sitting there in silence the nail tech would not say a word to me for an hour and a half and then another hour to put the actual gel on. this cost before tip 130 dollars. absolutely insane to me. i only went here because i wanted to go somewhere walking distance as opposed to my usual place but i am never going back, its only been 4 days and my nails are chipping like crazy. i cannot recommend going anywhere but here enough.

Nice gel manicure but super expensive. With tip came to $110. Ridiculously overpriced for what I get in California for $35-40.

I suggest it to friends, or anyone who asks about waxing in Savannah. The salon is located on Bull street. It is next door to Foxy Loxy cafe. Sometimes parking can be difficult to find. So, plan to arrive early to give yourself time to find parking. Wax & Wane is in a renovated two story house. There are multiple rooms, a small lobby, sitting area, two bathrooms, and small shopping areas. It is warm and cozy inside the house. When you walk in it feels inviting. Every staff member is incredibly kind. I don't have a favorite technician. Because everyone is always so nice! The staff does their job precisely and efficiently. They are happy to answer any questions you may have. They take great care to make sure every room is clean and sanitized before and after every client. When you walk into the salon hand sanitizer is on your left as soon as you open the door. The prices at Wax & Wane are generally less expensive then at most waxing salons. Because all they do is waxing. All of their pricing is listed clearly on their user friendly website. Wax & Wane Waxing Salon is female owned. It is also a locally owned business. Two more great reasons to support this already fantastic business.

The space itself is a bit more bare bones than some of the more high-end, aesthetic-focused spas in the area, so if you're going purely for ambiance, it may feel a little understated. That said, the quality of the service is what really matters, and this is where they absolutely deliver. The facial was thorough, professional, and clearly tailored to my skin's needs. I noticed a visible improvement afterward, my skin looked healthier, more even, and just overall refreshed in a way that lasted beyond the typical "post-facial glow." What I appreciated most is that the focus here is on results rather than frills. The services feel accessible and effective, which makes it a great option for someone who wants consistent skincare without paying for extras they don't necessarily need. I'm seriously considering their monthly membership because the results were strong enough to justify making this part of my regular routine. I called her about 10 am on Friday and left a voice mail and by 10:30 she was returning my call and setting me an appointment. The plan was to leave Atlanta by noon and arrive in Savannah around 4, so we went with a 5pm appointment, about 4:15 I was still an hour away from Savannah and called to cancel the appointment Tiffany stated that she would be happy to meet me at 10 the next morning to complete the waxing. I arrived about 9:50 to a non-nondescript building and couldn't find any markings to her business on the directory, so I called and she immediately answered assured me I was in the right place an within a minute or two pulled into the parking lot herself. Her suite is location on the inside of the building and is not one of the outside businesses you see when you pull up. We walked right in and in less than 5 minutes she was ready to perform the services. She was friendly, made enough small talk to keep me comfortable and explained her pricing, which was $30 more than I pay here in Atlanta for the same services, but to me that understandable, here in Atlanta, you can get a waxer on every corner and the service is nowhere as personable as the service I received from Tiffany. Waxing was painless and a week to date later, I still don't have any hairs that have sprout back. Highly recommend.

Our appointment was scheduled for 10:00 a.m., and I called at 6:00 a.m. as soon as we knew we had to leave. I left a voicemail explaining the emergency and requested a callback. I received a return call at 10:00 a.m. from the staff member working that morning (2/14/26). I again explained the situation and sincerely apologized, asking if the cancellation fee could be waived given the circumstances. Unfortunately, the response felt cold and lacked empathy. I was told the charge could not be waived, despite this being a true emergency completely out of our control. We were not just charged a standard cancellation fee -- we were charged the full cost of the massage, totaling $250.00. I also requested that a manager or owner return my call to further discuss the situation, but I never received a follow-up call. The lack of response was especially disappointing and unprofessional. I understand and respect that businesses have cancellation policies to protect against no-shows and last-minute cancellations. However, there should be room for compassion and discretion in genuine, unavoidable emergencies. Customer service and empathy matter. We will be returning to Savannah to complete the trip we were unable to enjoy, but we will choose a different spa. I would rather support a business that demonstrates understanding and care toward its clients. I did not want to give any stars but it would not let me post review without it.
