From the service, the food, and the drinks, they are constantly 5/5! I love the farm to table, deliciously curated meals and custom drinks. Some meals I've had were literally better than similar meals from Michelin star restaurants in downtown Chicago! Team Green Eats Mike and Keturah

Maybe because we came on Labor Day, they were short staffed. But food took FOREVER to come out!! The service is good (I would say great but it was hard to wave someone down sometimes). The staff are very friendly and helpful (especially when we had a lot of allergy requests). The ambiance is amazing with high ceilings, tables, unique decor, and even the check came in a cute little box! Food was good too. It just took about 40 plus min for the food to come out (but they kindly brought the kids food out as soon as they could). It is a unique dining experience and then you can walk around the rest of the little town and all the nice shops!

Went in just to have a drink on a Fridayevening. We were greeted right away and had the option to sit at a table or the bar. Since we didn't plan to stay long we sat at the bar. I would have liked my drink to be a little fuller with the amount of ice added for the $15. The over all flavor was nice. If you would like to order food, you are able to at the bar which was nice. Overall a nice experience and vibe.

We came here for date night on a Saturday. I love how the sun doesn't set until 8:30 PM which means more time luxuriating on their outdoor patio. When I was looking up places to go, Sovereign immediately stood out; their impeccable cocktail menu, kinda gothic vibe, and items on their menu called 'wiccan chicken," heck I'm sold. We didn't need a reservation. We parked nearby at a public lot, leisurely strolled through downtown Plainfield, and everyone was out and about, enjoying the live music from the wine & cheese restaurant in the center of town. Needless to say, it was a gorgeous evening to be out. It was "just us" me and my husband sans the baby, so we savor every single moment we can have a night like this. What we ordered: absolute radiance cocktail spectrelight cocktail righteous & the wicked cocktail brussels sprouts fries w good sauce and garlic aioli 4oz tenderloin (an app for my main) meatloaf (his main) extra side of whipped potatoes They have beer, wine, cocktails, whiskeys, rye, and rarities (so cool) so you can order say, a 2 oz of Thomas H Handy Sazerac Rye 2022 for $68. I'm not enough of a whiskey or bourbon fan to understand nor appreciate, but the guys behind the bar are, and they're the ones making my drinks! (Hell ya!) so... Five shining stars for this absolute gem in Plainfield. Their space is large enough for events and rentals. Our server was so nice. The way he described the ingredients in the "good sauce" convinced us to order that extra side of fries and it was worth it. Mind you, my husband and I already each had a side of whipped potatoes. No matter. Their food is the bomb. Once our server brought out the crispy deep fried brussels, I knew each dish was gonna be a banger. Next time, I'll get the wiccan chicken. Alright, I've already said "heck" "hell" and "banger" in this review so it's time for me to retire but TL;DR head to Sovereign! It's one of the best things you'll ever do. Upper scale restaurant in downtown Plainfield. We ordered burgers and wings. The grilled wings were my favorite and the burgers were tasty as well. Dimly lit restaurant which is perfect for date night or dinner with friends. They we're flexible with food allergies and staff was knowledgeable regarding various ingredients. Service was excellent and facilities were very clean. Thank you

Father's Day 2025 Great food had the pork shank. Delicious served over grits and carrot spears. Awesome version of an old fashioned. Sat out in terrace dining. Food took a bit longer than expected but that was due to a large 20 + party. I will go back again that's for sure

Tonight, our travels took us to Plai field for a birthday party at Sovereign. Upon entering the establishment, we were created immediately at sat in the cozy corner. Initial impressions of ambiance were warm with the soft glow of yellowish lighting. Their drink and food menu were plentiful. The problem was it was so dark in the room that everyone one of us had to turn the flashlights on our pho es on to read the menus. The second issue we had was that it took forever to get a waitress to help us. The service was very slow all night. The 6 of us tried something different. One had pork chops, another had scallops, my wife had the flounder, I had the half chicken, another had the steak, and last was the Wiccan Chicken. Everyone really liked their dishes except my wife. We both agreed her flounder was nothing special. Definitely would not order that again. My half chicken was very favorable. It came with French fries, but the waitress told me it came with rice. That was very disappointing. The fries were good in the sauce that is pooled at the bottom of the dish... just not what I wanted nor expected. The ambiance was normal noise level, so that was not an issue. Overall, the place has a very nice atmosphere, the food, for the most part, was good. The service and pricing not good at all. I'd say they are worth stopping in if you don't mind waiting awhile for service, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

My husband and I have visited many times, but I want to give special recognition to the server we had yesterday -- Dick. From the moment we arrived, he went out of his way to enhance our visit, starting by sharing a bit of the establishment's history with our friends who were experiencing it for the first time -- a gesture that was both thoughtful and welcoming. Throughout our meal, he ensured our drinks stayed full, checked on us often, and always greeted us with a warm smile. His great sense of humor kept us laughing, and his outstanding personality made the outing even more memorable. Dick truly made our time there exceptional, and I hope he receives the appreciation he deserves as one of the best servers we've had in downtown Plainfield!! As always, the food and cocktails were excellent. Thank you, Dick, for providing such wonderful service!

Great experience! The food was perfect and portions were more than I could've asked for. I had the Brussel sprouts and snapper. Super cute and vintage/dark ambiance as well.

For drinks, I tried the lychee mojito -- it was strong but had really good flavor and was enjoyable. For an appetizer, we got the pretzels. They had a nice garlic seasoning on them and were pretty filling. These were good. For mains, we ordered the Hangover Burger, tenders, and the Bulleit Bourbon Burger. Everything was really delicious. My fries just needed a tad bit of salt, but the burger itself was cooked well (I asked for medium). The flavors were good, and the honey running down actually worked well with everything. Our waiter was also really good and provided solid service. Overall, a great experience -- will be back.

The staff went above and beyond -- thank you Ann, Nicole, and Maddie, especially Ann for making everything run seamlessly and stress-free. The venue's industrial-chic vibe -- exposed brick, metal beams, wood barn doors, high ceilings, and soft lights -- created such a romantic atmosphere that we barely needed to decorate. The food was incredible (our guests are still talking about the mashed potatoes!), and the chicken was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and high quality, just like every visit we've made since booking our date a year ago. BIEN HERE BEFORE As…read morepart of the Bien Trucha restaurant family, Quiubo serves some familiar flavors in downtown Naperville. The Water St area has a great variety of restaurants including Vasili's (modern Greek), Blue Sake (sushi), SixtyFour Wine Bar and Quiubo (modern Mexican).  Technically I ate from here once - takeout during covid - but it was so long ago it might as well not count.  Most recently, my wife and I came here for dinner on a Friday in late June and sat outside. The sangria ($14) was strong, I appreciated the extra touches like apple bitters and a float of bourbon.  My wife loved the Pa'Dentro ($15), a cocktail with tequila, passion fruit, and orange liqueur.  The mango habanero margarita ($15) was also mixed perfectly.  5/5 The guacamole ($11) was fresh and flavorful: avocado, tomatillo, onion, cilantro, serrano and lime.  My wife found it a bit too spicy (diced serrano adds more heat than a traditional jalapeno) but I enjoyed it despite a small-ish portion.  4/5 We also got a queso fundido de camaron ($16): melted chihuahua cheese, red onion and pan seared shrimp, with tortillas and cilantro-serrano sauce.  Pan searing the shrimp instead of grilling them is certainly a choice....but not one I'd make again.  2/5 Esquites ($8.50), on the other hand, were awesome: grilled corn, epazote butter, lemon aioli, cotija cheese, tajin.  One of the best we've tried in a long time, but for $9 we expected a lot more elote!  5/5 The birria tacos (2 for $11) were very good; my wife was right to point out they should've come with a cup of birria juice on the side.  The tacos al pastor (2 for $10) were delicious: marinated pork with pineapple, cilantro, onion and salsa morita.  Next time, more tacos!  4.5/5 For dessert we got flan ($10), a creamy vanilla custard with caramel, rompope and cookie crumbs.  It was a denser style of flan and tasted amazing, but I don't know how I feel about that random pile of cookie dust.  4/5 Bread = 4.5 Circuses = 3.5 It took way too long for a server to come over and take our order at the beginning.  Thankfully the food came out FAST!  The bar, on the other hand, was lagging big time.  We were more than halfway finished with dinner by the time our cocktails showed up. Also important note for cheapskates like me: they do not serve free chips & salsa.  Quiubo isn't that kind of place, so if you want salsa with chips, you'll have to pay for it. * TL;DR * Rest assured you can get the same high quality tacos and cocktails from the Bien Trucha group. We were really impressed with a couple items like the esquites/elotes and al pastor tacos, as well as the atmosphere inside.  The vibes outside were solid and even though service was slow at first, we'd love to come back.  I'd recommend Quiubo for sure.
