Great place for eyebrow threading! My eyebrows are different shapes and they did a good job of evening them out while still keeping them thick. At other places I've gone to, my eyebrows still look different afterwards. It was also really fast, I feel like it was done in 5 minutes. There were a few people in line in front of me but I really didn't need to wait very long. read more

Excellent service has provided. My go to place. Customer service was phenomenal. My eyebrows looks great. Thank you so much. read more

It has been more than a year that I go to Sovan's for threading. Always upbeat and quick, not to forgot the smile the you will always have after getting your service! Thank you Rashila for being such a wonderful blessing to everyone of us read more

Went for a brow cleanup and Paru did a wonderful job! She did my brows in a manner that suited my face and was gentle - threading can be a bit painful but my skin didn't feel irritated at all. The space is small but there's a some seating to accommodate waiting clients. read more

My favorite threading place in the Bay Area. I have very thin eyebrows, so I like the way my eyebrows are done here. I don't go to any other threading place. Highly recommend Sovan's read more

Standard sf prices but worth it! My eyebrows looked amazing and I didn't need to get them done again for a while. Usually they grow back fast read more

A great place for eyebrows!!! Wait not only just eyebrows they have other services too, so far I have tried eyebrows, lash lift and wax. The services I have gotten there are wonderful and I am satisfied with their service; moreover, employees are so polite, clean space and reasonable price. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place where you can get multiple services in one place with satisfying service. Love the place since the very first time. Thank you so much to the entire SOVAN's team. read more

I feel bad posting this, because I've never left a negative review. But I am absolutely devastated DEVASTATED by my eyebrow threading results today. I have spent so much time growing out my eyebrow thickness. I typically go to a place in San Mateo but my office moved to the city so I tried Sovan's. All I wanted was a clean up... The shape is gone. They are very very thin. I have CHUNKS missing. I really don't know what happened, but I desperately wish I never came here. They're ruined. See my before and after and you'll understand... read more

I stopped by after getting my hair done in the same building as my eyebrows were growing out a lot. I was seen right away by an older woman and explained I wanted my eyebrows cleaned up. She did a really poor job, I could literally pluck them to look better. Usually when I leave a threading salon my eyebrows have a very clean look, but after getting them done here they still look unruly. There's hairs above my brow that were missed so now they look uneven. She didn't trim my brows correctly either, strands are sticking out. Their mirror was super streaked so it was really hard to get a good look at my brows. And the spooly she used to brush my brows was pretty dirty. Needless to say I won't be returning. read more

My friend recommend me this place. And I just loved it. My eyebrows are on point. I told them to keep fullness and thick, she did same like that. She was very efficient, kind, gentle, and fast. I appreciate there effort. Thank you so much!! read more

Great service and attention to detail! Studio is a bit tricky to find you have to go down a big hall and up stairs. It is not visible from the street read more

I really liked the previous salon where I got my eyebrows threaded, but it started to get out of the way for me, and a little expensive as my rent went up. I had tried Sovan's before, and thought my eyebrows were threaded to thin. I decided to try them again as they were easier to get to from my office, and lower in price. I went in the middle of the week, in the middle of the day, unlike the last time when I went after work on a Friday when it was packed. Going there in the middle of the day meant no wait. I didn't get the woman's name, and she did such a great and thorough job! Usually I'll see very tiny hairs, which aren't noticeable from afar, and not a big deal overall. But this women got everything threaded, and shaped my eyebrows with the perfect arch and thickness. The second time I went to Sovan's was also in the middle of the day so there was no wait. It was another woman, and she also a great job of shaping my eyebrows. There were very few tiny hairs left, but again not a big deal as they aren't noticeable. I couldn't even pluck them out with my own tweezers, which is how fine they were. I'm going to keep on coming back to Sovan's. She also has a stamp card, which I think the 12th session is free. I don't get mine done often, so I know it'll be awhile for me to get to that point. read more

Came here on a whim based on the reviews of others. The lady that was substituting on the Tuesday that I went was super quick and had the shape down. She even checked several times that I was ok with the thickness. I really wanted to support this place, however the lady was a little too quick. I left with several cuts under the brow and now a month later, I can still see the scars. This review is to ensure the employees think about slowing down. I don't want other women to face the same esp since it's $15/threading. read more

I've been going to Sovan's for a couple months now to get my eyebrows threaded. They are quick, and responsive to feedback (e.g., thread a bit more in certain spots). I've only ever done walk in, and sometimes after 5pm on weekdays, there is a bit of a wait, but the longest I've ever really waited is not more than 20 minutes or so. read more

The technician ended up over-threading, leaving my eyebrows too thin and uneven. There is even a nick in one of the eyebrow. She suggested that I can just use eyebrow pencil to fill it in. Not exactly what I was hoping for. read more

I've been going to Rashila for little over a year and she does a amazing job! she listens to my request and gives suggestion as well for eyebrows. I love her service, always very kind & friendly. Still going to her to this day! Highly recommended her. Super awesome! -Latoya R. read more

I was in desperate need to get my eyebrows done and was pleasantly surprised by how nice and affordable Sovan's service was and I loved how my eyebrows turned out! Definitely check it out! read more

I've been here since this place was a one person business! I've always loved the results and it was close to work. Make sure to ask for what you want! I have sparser brows on one side and you have to give specific direction so they don't take off or cut too much. They have Happy Hour which is $12 instead of $15 for an eyebrow thread when you visit in the afternoon from 2-4. I think it's only Monday Tuesday and Wednesday though? read more

Hands down the best eyebrow threading spot in SF! Reasonable prices, amazing service, and compliments from friends on my eyebrows every time - what more can you ask for haha?! Rashila is skilled, friendly, and somehow makes threading pain-free!!! Plus, happy hours on certain days. Highly recommend! read more

My go to place for threading, always! I also get waxing done and they do it the best. Definitely customer focused and prompt. Thanks Sovan's. read more

Came on a Saturday afternoon with no appointment and I only had to wait a couple minutes before being seen. Previously in San Diego, the person I went to would thread my upper lip and my eyes would tear up from the stinging sensation every time. I thought that was normal. I didn't get the name of the person that did my threading but she had very gentle hands and it was not painful at all yet achieved the same result. read more

This is the best threading studio in SF. Of all the ones I've tried in the last 8 years, this is the only one that consistently keeps my shape perfect and lasts for 2+ weeks. Everyone here has impeccable attention to detail and i always leave with a perfect shape. I cannot recommend this place highly enough especially if you've been on the hunt for somewhere consistent like I was! I also get my bikini wax done here and recommend that service, too. read more

Amazing service and was painless! Both wax and threads. Save yourself time and come here on lunch. She's located on the second floor.

I've been going to Sovan for almost two years now. I started going to her when I used to live in SF and now, I'm so glad she opened up another shop close by in Downtown Oakland!!!! Honestly her work is great and has only the best staff in her absence! Not to mention efficient response time. I love to support local (women/poc) owned businesses. Best eyebrow threading in the Bay (I had to shop around when I first moved from the east coast) read more

Love this place! They happily take same day appointments and completely fixed my arch! I've had a lot of trouble with other brow threaders who try to mellow out my arch because they think mine's too feminine. So happy that they're so responsive. Will frequent here again :)! read more

Great place for eyebrow threading. I was in the Embarcadero area and just yelped to find an eyebrow place nearby. Found this one and the reviews were great so I decided to give it a try! I am glad I went here because it was the best experience I had in a long time threading my eyebrows. Since my eyebrows are thick, it usually hurts a lot while getting it done but the girl who owns this salon (forgot to ask her name) did such a great job. It did not hurt even a bit and she did a fabulous job shaping my eyebrows too. She was quick and efficient and her prices are quite reasonable. Will definitely go back. read more

Tried this place out due to a good yelp rating! We're not from around here and my husband and I definitely needed our eyebrows done. It was a little hard to find being inside another building but she has her own cute little room that's clean. She was prescise and nice. Her yelp offers $2 off $10 so we got that discount plus "happy hour" 2 for $24 brows. So that was cool, the price is a little expensive since we're from LA where you can get them done for $5! But I'd recommend for this area. read more

The eyebrow threading queen! I was so impressed by how quick and efficient and precise she was. I definitely will be coming back over and over again. We all know how hard it is to find a good place to get our brows done. I've been coming to Rashila for a year now and she is the most professional and caring person. She always makes me feel welcomed and relaxed! I always get compliments on my brows from my friends and my clients. I won't go anywhere else for my brows. I highly recommend everyone to go here! Thank you again for taking such good care me. See you in 3 weeks (: read more

Can't give this place enough stars. The first and only time I went to get my eyebrows threaded - I'm amazed with the work they do. She did my eyebrows exactly the way I wanted. I'm definitely going to be my go-to place here on after. read more

Very polite and good service. Messed up my brows twice leaving a bald strip in the front and didn't take out enough in the middle. Expensive too. read more

The owner or main threader was super fast with 10+ years of experience. The place is super clean. Walk-ins welcome. If you work in the Embarcadero Buildings, this place is super close, less than 5 minutes walking distance. There are also a ton of other beauty salons in the building in case you need multiple services done. I got a full face threading via Groupon and I am feeling like I might actually become a repeat customer. Also, there was a line of girls already waiting, I sat down and waited in line and it was less than a 10-minute wait. These ladies are super efficient. Highly recommend you give this place a try. read more

I got my eyebrows done form Sovans last time and it was perfect but this time there was this new girl who did my eyebrow . The process was not painful at all but at the end I had two different looking eyebrows . I had a little arch in both my eyebrows but she made one of them with an arch and other one completely round also one was higher and thinner than the other . She tried to fix it but ended up making it worse . read more

I want to start with the positives - firstly Rashila is very quick and I love that! I got my eyebrows and upper lip threaded and I was out in less than 10 minutes! Secondly the end result was amazing - I lovee the way my eyebrows look and thanks to Rashila for that! Cons - 1) wayyyy too pricey. $25 for eyebrows and upper lip and that's without the tip. I never paid more than $15 in NYC. Maybe this is standard for SF and I guess I will find out with time. 2) getting the eyebrows and upper lip done hurt above average! I have been to a lot of salons and this experience was definitely not the least painful. All in all - I loved the experience and love how my brows look, I just may try out some others before I go back here. read more

Rashiella is like the eyebrow savior. This other beautician started doing my brows, kept showing me what she did to my brows and kept coming back like 3 times to finish. She was nice and patient but still couldn't get all the small hairs I was eyeing on. The beautician was pretty much saying she was done and let me leave UNTIL Rashiella walks in from her break and interrupted. Rashiella didn't let me leave until she thought my eyebrows were even and super clean. She worked her magic on my eyebrows! She was so detail oriented and caught ever single unwanted hair. read more

Today was my 7th visit to the salon. My experience was good until today when the lady at the salon spoiled my left eyebrow. The left eyebrow is so uneven as she has removed extra chunks from the bottom and corner of the eyebrow. The picture is attached. When I told her that it was uneven she did not accept and said she would not remove any hair further else it would become too thin. My point was that she should not have removed hair from there at first place. Also, she did not cut the extra long hair at the starting point of eyebrows using scissors until I asked her to do so. She was clearly in hurry. I am very disappointed and they have lost a loyal customer today. Never going back! read more

I work nearby and saw a great deal on groupon with great reviews so I decided to give this place a try. I requested a same day appointment through yelp and they responded within a few minutes. It's a little cute threading shop with two seats. Located on the second floor of the building. When I arrived, I told them I had an appointment and wanted to clean up my eyebrows. The lady who helped me was super nice. [forgot to get her name :( ] She took her time and asked me to look at my eyebrows and see what I thought. I loved it! She cleaned them up and made my brows look on fleek again!!! haha.. she also explained why she left a few hairs on one side and asked if she can take a bit more off on the other. I felt at ease knowing she was taking her time. Now my uneven brows are even again. They also offer a stamp card, after the 10th one, you get a free service. I will definitely come back and recommend others coming here. read more
