Ouch!! I don't usually do reviews, but if i can save anyone from this experience, then i will. First, she persistently tries to up-charge me, for three times the price of service i was getting. Once we agreed the correct price is $10(as listed), she gave me serious attitude from that point on. She then went on to give me one of the most painful threading experiences I've ever had. Not only did it leave my skin bright red(my skin's not sensitive), but there were even a few spots of blood coming through!! I got my eyebrows threaded here for the first time. Might be hard to tell in the photo but I had a lot of cuts and nicks on my eyebrow after threading. That normally does not happen to me. Im so satisfied my eyebrows that Gaya did. I get eyebrow and upper lip threading pretty often, and this was one of the best jobs done, nicely shaped and beautifully removed my hair around my brows. I still went through with it but was really dissatisfied with her skills. My 2 eyebrows have different heights/ arches and thickness. Well... they weren't totally right... If you're used to plucking like I am, then the pain is about the same. However, there are times when it hurrrrrtttttsssss. Made me a little teary. Service here was wonderful. Mamta and another lady Andru (I didn't ask for the spelling of her name but that is how it's pronounced) were very welcoming. Andru did my brows and I think they on fleeeek. I told her I wanted natural brows and she did it! After the threading, she applied some aloe moisterizer to it to help the healing. GREAT threading place! Located in the building next to 7-11! She was super accommodating and let me walk-in 15 minutes after I called for availability. I was surprised at the location at first, but when you get upstairs its really clean and relaxing. Threading was fast and super cheap! A lot cheaper than I thought it'd be in San Francisco (and not at a mall kiosk). She was attentive to how I wanted my eyebrows done and I didn't get the nasty stinging rash after she yanked out the hair. I also go to the same place in the sunset every single time ~past 9 years~, and my friend highly recommended EZ Threads to check out on a work lunch break. This will be the new spot I go to for a verrrryyyy long time, workday or weekend. It's cheaper ($15 a visit), quicker, and overall a much better job than where I used to go! Whoever I see is able to even out my brows while making it virtually painless-- they use a different kind of string that makes the threading so quick and tear free! Another plus is the chairs; you don't have to sit in an uncomfortable position, as it has a head rest to lean back on :) I never have to make an appointment because the longest I've ever waited is 10 minutes! I LOVE this place!! Guyah is an absolute miracle worker. I always went to the same person when I lived in Florida and had so much trouble finding someone I could trust in the city. I have thick brows and am super particular about the shape so it really matters to me. I showed Guyah a photo of my brows from back before I moved to SF and she worked with me over literally months to get me back to where I was. Pros: Conveniently located in FiDi. Great prices. No wait. They're quick to take your beastly brows into something novel. I normally cry during the process, but they are really gentle. I had never, EVER, EVER, had anything done to my brows. Being an Indian girl, I wanted to have some arch but not have super thin or super pointed eyebrows. After doing some research on Yelp! I found the perfect match! When I got there I was greeted by Mamta, she was so friendly and made sure we took breaks in between since it was my first time; my brows were very sensitive. After she made sure they were perfect, for being my first time it was no where near as painful as I thought it would be. No breakouts, no mess, got one little cut on my brow but that was mostly my fault (I got a little squirmy at the end). Totally reccommend for everyone! read more

Nice clean refined setting. Good, fast work. You go upstairs to the seventh floor from the entrance on Sutter, which looks empty at first and has glass doors. Not a typical "hole in the wall" but feels special and secret. There are two stations, with seating in an adjacent waiting room, and natural light coming in from the windows. I didn't give four stars because the lady that worked on me missed a spot on my eyebrow; I had to leave in a hurry though and didn't notice until later even though she did give me a mirror to check as any professional would do. The clientele are well dressed, style conscious people looking like out of a magazine. Must be students at the nearby Art Institute. Would come back! read more

EZ Threads. Seriously easy. I was staying at a nearby SoMa hotel and decided at 8am on a Saturday that I wanted my eyebrows threaded. I rang EZ and a lady answered to set the appointment. I arrived at my 2:30 time, waited 5 minutes and then hopped into the salon chair. Mamta, the owner, threaded away with expert precision and this may have been the most gentle eyebrow experience I've ever had. She shaped my brows to my specifications and then had me out of there within 10 minutes. No irritation after which was a bonus! The best $14 I spent all day. read more

After catching a glimpse of my bushly brows in the better-lit bathroom of a lovely Lake Tahoe cabin over the weekend, I realized it was time to get myself to the brow bar. I found EZ Threads, made an appointment online, and strolled right in after work. The ladies working there are very nice, fast, and efficient. My brows look great and I have to do no plucking for weeks! It's $15 for a brow threading, plus you get a free mini brow massage with aloe after, very nice touch. I usually go to threading salon in the South Bay, as I live down there, but do go up to San Francisco a lot to visit friends, and of course, also to shop! Ok, so I deem myself as an expert on getting eyebrows threaded, so I can definitely say here I was impressed here.... Mamata greeted me right away when she saw me in the waiting area. She then took me to a salon seat, asked me what I wanted done and went to work. She was quick, efficient and clean. The end result was great, I was happy with my brows. Two weeks later, they still look great. As I mentioned, I go to San Francisco often, so I will make sure to note to go to her if I need my eyebrows did (yes, did, lol!) while I am in the area:). And so should you, if you value your wonderful brows! Oh, one last thing! For the area, the price was reasonable, I think it was $12 (FYI-it's a dollar more if you use your credit card, wish I knew that before I sat down, I would have gone to the ATM. I came here out of slight desperation- my eyebrows grow out really thick and wild, and i hadn't been maintaining them. I can't remember what my threader's name was, but I specifically requested a clean up (and to keep the thick shape- NOT THIN.) Well, I should have known, by looking at her thin eyebrows, to turn around and run. She thinned the f*** out of my eyebrows. I looked like the 90s pencil thin eyebrows, and that is not a good thing. They have a special going on where you can get a full bikini wax and eyebrows threaded for cheap when combined together. Eyebrows are usually $15, but $1 off if you pay with cash. I came here a second time for just eyebrows and was greeted by another threader who works there. She is just as good as the owner lady!! Such a quick 10 minute in and out the door process there. Pros: +Convenient location! +Very clean, just like a salon should be. +I try to call in to let them know when I come by, but I've walked in as well and they are always very accommodating. +They do a great job at shaping, and will ask you for how you like it. Cons: -The price! I'm originally from the south bay, and I'm used to paying $5-$7. Eyebrows at EZ Threads will set you back $14. I understand it's because of the location, but it still gives me pause. -The method they use, while less painful, makes my eyebrows grow back much faster. I think they avoid pulling from the root. -On one occasion, they gave me a cut right above my eye. It's not a big deal, but I wish they were more careful about those things. The positives definitely outweigh the cons. Overall, very solid place. read more

WOW WOW WOW! I was desperately searching to get my eyebrows threaded. My usual spot was closed for some reason and my eyebrows were SO bushy. So I went to Yelp to find a place and behold....EZ Threads. I looked at the website and saw the most amazing thing ever...text for appointment. Such ease especially while you are busy at work. I arrived on time and sat in the waiting area. When I was up, she literally took 2 mins to tear apart my bushy eyebrows. It did not hurt at all. I was working an event at the Moscone center, and when I was done...I just wanted to be pampered and refreshed. I felt haggard. After scouring yelp for a decent threader, I stumbled across this place and gave them a call. Luckily, I only had to wait about 5 minutes, and I was out in about 10-15. Mamta was amazing, and shaped my brows with perfection -- I mean, she ACTUALLY evened them out! I've been trying to get other places to do that for months, and I haven't ever been satisfied with the results. I wish I just kept them up after the visit! The people here are not very friendly. Maybe because I was using a Groupon? Who knows. Anyway, I don't know the name of my threader because I don't ask if they don't do a good job. She shortened my right brow and left a gap... I absolutely despise when the threader doesn't admit that they did anything wrong. She says, "this one is shorter, it will grow back, it also has a gap here, it will grow back". Look, you wouldn't have to tell me that it would grow back if you didn't take it off in the first place. No apologies - just acted like it was my eyebrows fault that she threaded the tail off and created a gap underneath the arch. I contacted Groupon re this issue and they issued a refund. I will not be returning because I can't afford to lose part of my eyebrow. read more
