I found this location some years ago on Groupon. I would grab it from time to time. I really enjoy the ladies who do the threading. Always professional and friendly. The place is always clean and inviting the prices are reasonable. Only downside is the parking is trash in this area. I usually take the bus and/or walk to this location. It has turned into my go to for brows, lip & chin threading. I have also gotten underarm waxing as well. read more

Quality and prompt service! I love being able to book appointments online, and this place made it incredibly easy. I was able to book a same-day appointment through the Square Go app (or directly through the booking link on their Google Maps listing), which was super convenient. The service was very affordable, and I was in and out in under 15 minutes. I had my eyebrows and upper lip threaded, and despite it being my first time getting anything other than my brows threaded, it was surprisingly painless. I'll definitely be back! read more

I am so incredibly happy with my brows! Not only did Sovan make them perfect, but the other lady who works with her did an amazing job too. I absolutely love them so much. I've been wanting my brows to have this shape for the longest time, and for some reason they just weren't getting there. But by the second visit, they were absolutely perfect. So honestly, you can book with Sovan or the other lady there , they are both amazing. I'm beyond happy with my brows! read more

Went here again with my sister and Rashila did an amazing job on our eyebrows and full face threading. She's very thorough and I recommend booking an appointment on the website. I've been to the SF location a few times and Rashila and Paru are my favorite threaders. read more

This place is decent option in the city to get your eyebrows done. It is usually quite busy on the weekends, but the line moves quick enough. It's in a pretty unassuming location in FiDi, and you will need to buzz in 52 to get through to the inside. The staff is nice and professional. It is quite pricey at about $20, but comparable to other services in the city. read more

As someone who never gets their eyebrows threaded because I think I can do it better at home, this place changed my mind! I booked an appointment with Rashila and she was awesome. I was super nervous to get them threaded and she was kind, gentle and sweet. Rashila shaped my eyebrows well in no time and gave me tips on how to take care of them before my next visit. This will be my new eyebrow spot in the city! read more

While walking back to our hotel I passed by a an advertisement sign for eyebrow threading and waxing services. I was going to a wedding the next day and it was perfect placement perfect timing. I made a quick appointment online for eyebrow waxing. It's in a building that you have to get buzzed into, so it was giving me the city experience I haven't had in a while. My eyebrows looked great thanks to Rekha from Nepal! Thank you!! read more

I'm a long time customer @ Sovan's & usually never have anyone other than Rashila do my eyebrows, always excellent! Today unfortunately she wasn't working so got my eyebrows done by Paru, and she cut my skin in 2 places & also minor cuts ( my skin still red & burning after an hour! Never ever had this happen with Rashila. Also the shape was not to my satisfaction at all. I'm so disappointed with this experience:(( Rashila please contact me thank you ! read more

WARNING: THIS PLACE DOES NOT HONOR APPOINTMENTS!!!! I booked arm wax appointment for 6:30PM on a Friday. When i showed up at 6:25PM, they told me to take a seat & then proceeded to tell me that I will have to come back tomorrow because they are too busy at the moment or I can wait a long time. You would think that they would manage their business better to the point where they can fit the committed appointments. The answer is no. They don't respect your time, so why should you come here? Please avoid. The staff who talked to me was also incredibly rude and dismissive and entitled. Will never, and i mean NEVER come back here. read more

This threading studio is super tiny, only two chairs. You have to find the code for the studio using the directory downstairs to get buzzed in. Once buzzed in, walk up the stairs to the mezzanine where you will probably find a short line ahead of you. Although threading is much more expensive in SF than in NYC ($20 compared to $12 or less) my brows came out amazing and the threading was painless. read more

Came here as a walk in for eyebrow threading. Was fitted in right away with I appreciated (I a send a message on Yelp and was told I could come at my desired time). The salon is located in a building that has multiple beauty units. I had to buzz in by looking up the salon on the intercom and it was #52. They are located on the Mezzanine floor (1 floor up), room M01. The owner was extremely welcoming. I waited a bit for her to finish with a customer. I got my eyebrows threaded and tinted and loved the result! She used the Natural Brown tint and left it on for 10 minutes. The pic is after that 10 minutes FYIs: 1. Walk ins are possible for threading (eyebrows, while face etc), but in general appointments are recommended and required for some services like waxing 2. $1 charge extra for credit card use so bring cash if you can 10/10 recommend ! read more

Came in to get my eyebrows threaded and tinted and I was so content with my results!! The gal shaped them beautifully, listened to me when I said I only wanted to clean them up, not thin them. For tinting, I was new to this and initially they were far too bold for my face so the gal kept toning them down, no resistance, until I was satisfied. She did not rush me even though she had another client waiting. My eyebrows have been so pretty for the past 2+ weeks, even after being on vacation in the ocean! Definitely somewhere I'm coming back to!! read more

A friend suggested I get my eyebrows threaded for a different shape! I made an appointment for Friday evening the day before via Yelp DM--such convenience! I got to the building and paged Sovan's, who opened the door. It's located in a building in FiDi with lots of beauty work so if you wanted to get your hair cut in the same building, you could! Walk straight forward and it's up the stairs on the mezzanine level. I was immediately welcomed and sat down in the comfy, cute chair and stared at the ceiling as the threads grabbed unwanted hairs, pulling them by the roots. It was quick, made a difference, and even when I didn't know exactly what I wanted, I got what I needed. Prices are reasonable, service is personable and wonderful, there's a rewards card to get stamped each time you go, and you will be in and out in under 15 minutes! I will be back in a few weeks to get my brows threaded again. read more

I've found this place on 1/22/24; the day before my birthday. I needed my eyebrows done badly. It's been 4 months since I've had them done. I usually get my eyebrows waxed but as of recently I would prefer threading. As I came to this place; the woman working there was professional and nice. I liked how it wasn't busy at all. The service was amazing and I am definitely going back to get my eyebrows done, they have a new customer. read more

MAKE SURE YOU DONT HAVE SARITA. This place has been my go to since I move to SF and everyone has always done an excellent job, until today. They hired a new employee SARITA who has been here for a few months and it was my first time working with her. I was clear on that I only wanted a clean up. She took longer than usual, and kept asking me to hold my brows multiple times, which has never happened before. When I opened my eyes I was horrified as I realized she had made them thinner. I ASKED FOR A CLEAN UP AND SHE NOT ONLY THINNED IT BUT GAVE IT A NEW SHAPE. I asked her why she did that when I never asked for anything but a clean up and she proceeded to admit that she in fact, did make them thinner and insisted they look good. IT IS NOT YOUR JOB TO DECIDE WHATS GOOD FOR ME, BUT TO FULFILL MY REQUEST. SEE PHOTO FOR REFERENCE!!! When a client gives you specific instructions, you follow it. You don't go off the rails to create something that YOU deem is good, especially when it comes to beauty. Every eyebrow threader I've had would ask me if I wanted it thin and I would say no, or they would understand when I say clean up and JUST CLEAN UP. My eyebrows don't look like my usual self and I am devastated because there is a chance they won't grow back the way they used to. I'm worried that it would grow back as sparse hairs. She decided on her own that a brow shape better suited me and THINNED THEM! I LIKE MY THICK BROWS AND THEY HAVE STAYED THAT WAY MY ENTIRE LIFE! There needs to be a clear expectation that employees should always ask the client if it is okay to make alternations outside of what we want. This is absolutely unacceptable. read more

This place is a 1 star for. REASON! I am F*CING LIVID! This woman completed F*CK UP my brows!!!! She plucked almost my entire eyebrows off. She gave me a new shape... I NEVER ASKED FOR! I have very light eyebrows and barely have any growth, they never grow. I am so screwed, they screw me up so BAD! I only went here because my friend recommended... I would NEVER EVER GO BACK and would not recommend. I would sue them if this was possible! God I just want to cry and am HORRIFIED! read more

Ever since I moved to the city, Sovan's has been my to go place after reading all the reviews and experience. Rashila is so welcoming and wonderful and always listens to how I want my eyebrows and keeps them thick the way I like it. I also really liked Jiya but heard her moved. I went in today and thought since Rashila and Jiya were so great it's okay if another person at Sovan's did my eyebrows. However, this new person did not listen to anything I asked for. I let her know, please keep my eyebrow mountain eyebrow shape and keep it thick and please don't make it look like a rainbow. She said okay. However, she did not listen to anything I mentioned, she made one of my eyebrows very thick and rainbow shape while the other eyebrow super thin and flat. Needless to say, I'm very very disappointed. If you ever go to Sovan's, please only go when Rashila is there because she is the absolute best. I can't trust anyone else but her in the future!! read more

Rashila deserves a 5 star! There's no doubt about that. Every time I want to get my eyebrows threaded, I plan to go here and message ahead to confirm availability and that Rashila will be present. The ONE time (last week) when I text messaged the same number as always, I mistakenly assumed Rashila would be present. Totally my fault. I accept that. When I got there, it was someone else who was lying on the massage table because it turns out she wasn't doing well after getting her second COVID shot. I'm still okay. She asked me if I was okay with her doing my eyebrows, and I said "as long as you stay away from the brow line" and just clean it up. She agreed. 20 minutes later, I look and she definitely messed up the entire thing. She did NOT listen when I said stay away from the brow line. Her threading skills showed that she couldn't even make, rather maintain, my straight line. All she had to do was cleanup the stray hairs. I am extremely disappointed. The photos show how badly she messed up both the bottom line and the top line. Again, Rashila has always provided 5 star quality threading. read more

I recently visited the salon for my eyebrow threading and had a wonderful experience. In addition to providing wonderful service, the ambiance of the salon was so warm and welcoming. The staffs were friendly and welcomed me with beautiful smiles. Rashila did my eyebrow and I must say that she did an amazing job by asking me my desired shape and offering me suggestions based on my facial features. She was highly skilled and paid attention to the details. She was so gentle throughout the process. I am really happy with the results. The benefit brow bar closed down so I tried to find a new place today. I paid ahead on their website. Wasn't clear how to leave a tip afterwards. I asked but I don't think she understood. I have a feeling the lady who did my brows was not the owner and didn't really know much about brow tinting. The dye looked like a box that was like an old school brand. Ok. The process was very very quick. Nothing like benefit would do. Usually I leave benefit with a very clear difference, a full even looking brow from side to side. She very lightly applied dye. No Vaseline around edges. And she left it on like a minute or less. First time around couldn't tell anything was even done so I asked her to try again and wait longer. Second time same thing but a tiny bit of dye stayed. At that point I had to go. I feel kinda bad I like supporting small businesses but I wouldn't go back for tinting. read more

First time I went, it was with Rhilsag, she was great. Gentle and painless. The second time I went, it was her mom I think. She was fine but sort of painfully slow and the job was just ok (i didn't notice a huge difference). I don't like that they charge $1 if you use Apple Pay / credit card. They didn't tell me and while I understand the need to pass on the credit card fees to customers, it would have been nice if they told me up front. read more
