If I could give zero stars, I would. They stole my Tiffany bracelet right off my wrist while I was inside. I even have a photo of myself wearing it immediately before entering. When I asked for video footage, I was told the cameras "weren't working." The manager shrugged and said there was nothing they could do. While I was in pain getting my brows done, the bracelet was unclipped and taken. Not only is this place terrible at what they actually advertise (eyebrows), but they're also run by people who refuse to take accountability or help when theft happens right under their roof. This is dishonest, shady, and unacceptable. I used to come here all the time for eyebrow threading/waxing when I was living in SF. Nirvana always did a phenomenal job and I'm glad to see that they are still open after the peak of covid. I've ONLY gotten my brows threaded by Rumi for the last 5+ years and still have not gone anywhere else. I recently got brown lamination for the first time and love it. I'm a couple days in and people have said my brows look fuller! It's amazing to not HAVE to fill in my brows everyday. My go to waxing eyebrow lady nail salon permanently closed down in downtown so I was desperate looking for someone to touch up on my eyebrows. I heard threading was a better solution for eyebrows because it isnt as harsh as waxing. So I decided to try nirvana, it's 3 blocks away from my house so it was very convenient. I made an appointment with Rumi the owner at 2pm on Sundays. Apparently she only works Sunday too due to the pandemic. I went in at 2pm and was instantly greeted by Rumi. They have an automatic hand sanitizer and require you to use it once you step in the business and check in with your phone number. It took Rumi 20 mins to thread my eyebrows and honestly it wasn't super painful but it felt like a pinch. I loved the massage in the end, it can definitely put me to sleep. Best massage I've ever had in my life LOL. Total came out to be $18, I loved the results and I will definitely be back every month for a touch up! Thank you Rumi! Last minute weekend appointment for brows threading in this cute and chic SF salon. Anita is a complete professional and super sweet. From scheduling the appointment to the threading, everything was perfect. She did an excellent job and was very personable. Very hygienic and all COVID precautions and mandates were followed. You have to wait outside until your appointment time. Scheduling and appointment is all managed through text messaging which was very convenient and easy. I have very sensitive skin yet there was very little redness and irritation afterwards. The shape and cleanup was perfect. Anita asked about my preferences prior to starting. While its a bit on the pricey side, the cleanliness and professionalism is worth the cost for great looking eyebrows in a safe and clean environment. I used to be a regular at this nice place and had always great threading service by Rumi, she knows what she's doing and is very pleasant to talk to. And I hate to leave a bad review but have to do it to warn other customers. I went as a walk-in first time and asked if they're available for brow threading. A new master took me in and I was a little nervous as I used to get my brow threading done by Rumi and know that she won't disappoint, so I mentioned that I just want the shaping of existing brow contour, just a maintenance. I had a brow straightening (lamination without the shape) 2 weeks prior and wanted to get rid of small hair outside of the shaping area. The master said she understood and will do just minimal threading with existing shape and asked me to relax. I wanted to trust her so I relaxed and waited for the end. When she finished with threading I thought that I'll be given a mirror to check if I like it/want more as Rumi always did. Instead the new master proceeded with the scissors and after pulling the brow hair up cut them short (and when they're straightened they can be very high up when pulled, I usually shape them to have fuller brows). I asked to give me a mirror and saw that I now had not full brows with a clean shape but short hairs sticking in different directions. When I voiced my dissatisfaction and reminded that I asked for just threading the minimum extra hair, she continued saying that it's not that bad and it's okay, repeating this in a calm voice many times while I disagreed that it's not okay and wasn't what I was asking for. Now I'm left with a joke of a left brow and uneven right one that I was able to save partially, and 100$ brow lamination is waisted which is not to say I'll have to live with this for at least a couple of months until they grow back. This is horrible work and the master acted completely unprofessionally telling me that it's not that bad and she did the right thing, downplaying my dissatisfaction and that I asked beforehand to just do the minimal threading, not cutting. I hope the owners take this review to their attention and train their masters properly to work with clients as well as to not ruin other's brows. read more

Came here for an eyebrow threading. Learned about them via Groupon and would come back without a groupon! Really great place because 1) they sanitize their hands - as well as your hands - before starting 2) they ask you about your goals for your eyebrows and really take into account what you want. We would stop a few times and she would give me a mirror and consult me about things. I love that! I want to give this place 5 stars, but -1 star because at the end, she pressured me to fill in my eyebrows with a make up pencil. I'm not sure if she was just trying to find another service to charge me for or was just trying to be nice and show me make up tips, but that give me bad vibes. read more

The place is clean, staff sanitizes their and your hands before starting service, everyone is overall very friendly. My go to person though, is Anita. They have a happy hour on Thursdays and Fridays 12-5PM for a free upper lip threading with the eyebrow service ($15) I loved the threading and I'm so glad my first threading experience was here. Everyone was nice. They really made my first time relaxing. I left it to them to shape my eyebrows and they did amazingly. Definitely don't skip the ice and aloe at the end. The face massage was heavenly. I've heard that threading can be painful depending on how they do it and honestly, it barely hurt at all. I enjoyed it way more than waxing. The best brow service I've ever received. Nisha takes her time to make sure you get exactly the eyebrows you want. I've never been to a threading shop where you are handed a mirror multiple times to confirm that your brows are coming along how you want them to, so I was certainly impressed. The process never felt rushed, and her threading was careful. I appreciated how she would softly brush away the threaded hairs off my face. Too many times have I left my usual threading shop down in SoCal with a face full of little eyebrow hairs. You know why? Because most shops don't care about any of that. They just want you in and out as soon as possible. Even though Nisha had customers waiting, she gave me her full and honest attention. She was as gentle as possible, and I felt very peaceful as calming music was played. Definitely text or call her for an appointment.
