This nail salon might be small, but it's honestly one of the best-kept secrets around. It's never too busy, which makes it the perfect place to unwind. The owner is super sweet and always goes out of her way to make you feel at home. Genuinely always inquires about how you're doing. I've been coming here for my past 4 mani/pedis, and they've come out perfect. They really take their time and pay attention to every little detail.

My daughter had a gel manicure and gel pedicure, and I had a regular pedicure. JC and her colleague did a top notch job and very efficiently. The place is clean. I've been coming to My Nails for over 2 years. They have an easy web app where you can book an appointment that works wonderfully. Trixie is extremely good at her job and very friendly and easy to talk to. Parking can be tricky but not impossible. Plus very affordable pricing. Hidden gem for sure . read more

My favorite Russian Hill nail salon. It's on Green Street, right behind Frascati's restaurant, meaning I don't have to walk down the hill to Polk street. But it's not just the location. Tracy always does a fantastic job on my nails (which usually arrive is horrific shape after a month of landscaping). I love the chill atmosphere and her prices beat Polk street. Just got my first pedicure post vaccine - wow, so happy with it. Also, best to call and book as she is doing appointment only. read more

My Nails is the best! They are now open again - with great safe covid measures. If you worried about venturing out to a crowded nail salon - this is your place to go, super intimate! It's a small place and typically only one or two people in there so very good for the times. Tracy does an amazing job - and such great attention to detail! Highly recommend!! read more

Every time I walk past My Nails, I can't help but think of Anjelah Johnson's nail salon comedy skit. Just a note: this place is TINY! They take walk ins but only have three pedicure chairs and are always full, so I'd call in advance. My Nails has super cheap prices, but don't expect to walk into a full-blown salon with gossiping ladies, high tech equipment and crazy nail art. They do the basics, like gel, acrylic, etc. but they do it well. This morning was very quiet (I went right at opening), just one other client. My lady wasn't particularly chatty which was actually good because I was suffering from a hangover headache. The quiet was nice and so was the foot rub. And the lady across from me was snoozing, maybe hungover as well lol. Both workers seemed to respect that we weren't in the mood to socialize. I got gel on my toes for the first time and I love it! They sparkle like diamonds in the sky, my feet look so sexy and and I'm pretty sure my boyfriend will love me even more now!! (referencing the skit, don't worry ladies he's not an old-fashioned misogynist) 4 stars because I like the prices and the quality of work. I'll say again, the place is a hole in the wall and a little cramped, and the chairs aren't super comfy but that's fine with me. A basic manicure is only $10! Gel on my toes was $35. Oh, and if you get Van....she's really nice and will share her love of coconut oil with you. read more

I was so impressed by My Nails! I am so happy I live so close to such an amazing and efficient nail salon. It took 35 minutes for a gel manicure and pedicure which is HARD to find in San Francisco. I am SUPER picky about my nails. I normally paint them myself because I don't trust anyone to do as well of a job (yes I know I sound insane), however, I do get the occasional gel manicure. This was one of THE BEST manicures I've gotten. She did such a great job painting my nails that I will most definitely be coming back regularly. read more

Local ladies and once you get to know them they are so sweet!!! They stayed open late for me and let my dog hang out in the shop. Tracie says she knows all the dogs in the neighborhood and started to name them, so cute. Usually customers are great too and love a good convo because it's so small and intimate. I live around the corner and will be back! read more

Tracy is THE BEST!!!!!! I've been coming here for years and have NEVER been disappointed; I don't like spending hours at the nail salon, and Tracy is the perfect combo of speedy and meticulous. You would be wise to disregard any reviews prior to the latter part of 2012 as My Nails has been under new management. Tracy (the owner) and her partner do a fabulous job! They are friendly, affordable ($25 for gel manicure, $10 for a manicure, $25 mani-pedi), timely, and super sweet. Last time I was there, they turned the pages of my magazine for me while I soaked my hands! Other bonuses: The accept credit cards, no appointment required, open until 7:30pm daily. read more

Upon leaving I thought it was different than i had done it before and maybe just needed to adjust. Idk. On further reflection she must have switched the products or burned them somehow. Half my eyelashes were kinked. Yes i followed aftercare perfectly. Then my eyelashes fell out and at some point were itchy and my lid was swollen. I'm not post photos but have them, and she has seen them. My eyebrows also were like hard and wouldn't move. Later they started falling out too. She gave me a full refund when I send her pics. But this is before everything started falling out. I had to buy a lash serum to grow them back. And then in August I started noticing that my eyebrows were falling out. I thought they were shedding normally and going back to blonde. NOPE! They weren't growing back at all. I went to the dr and it is 100% because of what she did. I now am using rogaine to regrow them. It's taking forever and she also refused to pay for product to help grown them back. It's probably going to be another 2-3 months of me looking awful because of Perri. Have the Holiday you deserve.

My first gel x set with them was decent but nothing great. I noticed I developed quite a few hang nails afterwards but thought maybe it was user error. Simply not applying my cuticle oil as diligently as I should. I decided to give them another shot once my gel x extensions grew out and after that appointment it confirmed I will never go back again. I walked in and was kindly greeted by a woman who asked what I needed and quickly sat me down to get the service started. Another woman came to where I was seated and began digging at my nails and yanking my hand. With every use of the drill she tore at my cuticles more and more. She then proceeded to use the cuticle scissors and ripped away at what was left of my cuticles. My entire left hand was left bleeding and in excruciating pain, to the point where my nails looked like I got in a fight and lost. It wasn't until she realized all my fingers on my left hand were bleeding that she stopped yanking at my hand and seemed to care about the terrible job she had been doing for the last hour. She finished my nails and told me she didn't charge me for the fill.... As if she was doing me a favor. I didn't want to pay but reluctantly did anyways but of course I did not tip her. It's now been three days and my cuticles are still red, raw, and in so much pain daily tasks such as showering and reaching into my purse have become sharp reminders of the terrible service and experience I received. I write all this to say, this place is not worth the pain and headache.

What's more frustrating is I booked Gel-X and still got pushed into getting regular gel because Jenny wasn't available, even though the appointment was supposed to be with her. I completely understand she's popular, but it's disappointing to make an appointment for a specific service and technician and not receive either. Sad to say I'll have to look for a new spot, because I can't seem to actually get the appointment I came for anymore.

What a lovely place, the salon is super clean! saw the under new managerment sign, so just wanted to give this nail salon a try, walked in to have a manicure & pedicure done, what a great experience...a nice hand massage after my nails are done, the lady is so friendly, she did such a good job on my nails. Their service charges are so low comparing with others, surely, this will be my new spot in the neighborhood. read more

I love this place!! The new owner is so friendly, accomodating, and has done a fabulous job on my nails both times I have been in.
