Beautiful, clean salon. They offer gel nails, mani/pedis, facials, and massages. I got gel nails and a pedicure, plus for $15 u can add on an extra long massage. For this it was about $120. The location is walking distance to Pier 39, trader Joe's, and hotels.

I've been coming to Lilypad for years. All the nail techs are friendly and welcoming. Perfect pedicure every time!!

Did incredible job with my nails! Had gel x (extensions) with nail design and Mei did awesome! Very detailed work and was very kind.

Decided to get last minute nails before vacation and visited lilypad. It was a cozy nail salon but I did not have a good first impression. Even before my nail tech did my nails, she kept trying to convince me to do gel instead of dipped powder nails that I had asked for. Why do I need to fight for what I want at a nail salon when I'm paying for the service? But maybe I should've listened because I was not happy with the results. Initially I wanted ombré but it turned out so bad on the first finger that I changed it to just one solid color instead. Not to mention they charge an additional $20 for Ombré. Even with just a single color, my nails as shown in the photo did not turn out well. The thumb here is clearly misshaped and the proportion is so off. Would not recommend getting dipped powder nails here. I would've been better off just buying fake nails from the store to put on myself.

Nhu did an amazing job with these nail designs! They are one of my favorite sets I've ever gotten. She was so kind and creative, and the experience was so great. I asked for gel nails + designs.

    Chipped nail day 2

They were nice but my nail polish chipped on day 2! I've never had it chip that fast at any place. Omg I just saw on my other hand it chipped off as well on day 3! This is bad, even when I do my own nails it lasts a week at least. Day 4 I just woke up to find another chipped. I guess one a day? Day 5 another one chipped ok it's a nail a day.

AMAZING! Best nail salon in SF. She took her time, was super patient and made sure my nails were perfect for my wedding. Thank you so much!

Mai did an amazing job on my nails, they're so beautiful! I felt so pampered and taken care of by the ladies at this salon. Mai ended my manicure with hot rags on my hands and lotion, which was my favorite part! I didn't catch the name of the lady who did my pedicure but she was great too and brang me hot tea while they did my nails. My boyfriend was with me too and they let him sit next to me on the comfy couch. Definitely coming back here, I love this salon

I don't do gels or dips. These are my natural nails looking gorgeous thanks to the Lilly Pad Ladies.

I just spent a wonderful few hours being pampered by the wonderful ladies at Lilly Pad. Leg wax and Mani, Pedi, with paraffin wax. The salon is bright and clean with super comfy huge armchairs. Top notch. Complementary tea and the laughs are for free. Worth seeking out.

Found this nail spa business on yelp. In person service was amazing! The staff are accommodating, exceptional quality of nail polish and genuine good vibes! Thank you ladies for the time.

    The nails I got

I tried lily pad for the first time and asked for a design. I wish the nail technician just said she wouldn't be able to do the design. This is what I ended up with for over $100. Pretty disappointed in my experience

Hannah is an artist! I've been coming here for over a year and I'm never disappointed. They also give AMAZING massages.

After three previous…read morerhinoplasties and dealing with my overly crooked nose and deviated septum, I expected him to tell me--like other plastic surgeons had over the years--to leave my flawed nose alone. To my surprise, after his assistant took pictures from all angles and he examined my nose, he said he could help me and that I was a good candidate! Two months ago, I underwent revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Kim, and I'm extremely happy with the results. He guided me every step of the way regarding what to expect from the surgery. Firstly, he informed me that my nose would be swollen and appear "big" for several months and that it might take up to 1-2 years to settle into its expected shape. He also mentioned that some asymmetry would remain, but that it would be significantly improved. Even while still swollen, I can see a huge improvement, and I've already received compliments from three friends about my new nose. I can breathe better now and have less sinus discharge. Most importantly, I no longer feel self-conscious about my nose. Each day, it seems to be getting a bit smaller, which is exciting. The renditions he provided of what my new nose would look like closely match how my nose appeared right after surgery before the swelling began. I would recommend Dr. Kim to anyone unhappy with their nose. I only wish I had found him sooner.

I regret using Dr. Kim to do my first revision. It's been 14 months post Op and every day since…read moreavoiding mirrors and hating my reflection. This surgery cost $36,000, took 6.5 hour under anesthesia, was a painful rib graft and I have nothing but severe regret. I had a nasal valve collapse on the left side which caused breathing issues. Those breathing issues are still not resolved and now I'm left with a nose that looks worse than before and even more compromised breathing from the right side. We never discussed shortening my nose and he left me with a bulky, short nose that looks nothing like the morph we discussed. I should have trusted my gut when we couldn't align on a morph and walked away. My front view shows the uneven nostrils that no one would want to look at daily. Not sure why he shortened my SEG when doing so would reveal uneven nostrils. I'm a tall person and a short bulky nose doesn't fit my face. The day of surgery I was obviously super nervous and I tried to go through the plan again and he seemed rushed and dismissed the morph I brought with. My husband was shocked at how Greenbrae surgery center just dumped me in the car after. No one called him and Dr. Kim definitely didn't call him to let him how I did after a 6.5 hour surgery. My primary treated us much better and was 1/3 the price. Dr. Kim seemed rushed to start his vacation and I regret trying to schedule surgery when he was leaving the country shortly after my operation. The worst part is I still can not breathe from the right side. It's always stuffy and feels so bulky. Breathing out feels like the LCSG is obstructing the exhale. He used my own rib which he told me was calcified. Therefore I'm guessing calcified rib is hard to carve small. When I told him at cast off I couldn't breathe from the right side, he abruptly closed the left side to try to prove I could breathe better from the right side. Breathing out is still obstructed. Dr. Kim's demeanor changes once you start to question his work. Cast off was extremely traumatic as my nose was so swollen the photos they took I look like a troll. I assumed at cast off we would talk through what he found in my nose and go through his findings. This was not the case. For paying as much as I did I was basically rushed out. If he took the time to review his post op notes especially to a patient traveling from across the country it would have left me in a better frame of mind. Instead I cried my entire cab ride back to the hotel. My LCSG is hanging in my left nostril. It's huge and bulky and painful when it's cold outside. My left side nostril continuously run and its embarrassing and disgusting. Had he ever once explained that I would need LCSG grafts I would have waited on this surgery or sought another opinion. None of these doctors want to explain that this graft makes your nose hard as a rock and heavy. I still don't even think I needed it as my tip never was collapsed. The spreader graft was all we discussed to open the valve. It was the worst summer of my life where I spent every day crying and not recognizing myself. I am gutted every time I look at photos before this surgery with him. When I told him I was unhappy he tried to suggest BDD and said 90% of his patients have this. That is NOT the case. His lack of listening to the patients desired aesthetics and his lack of feminine aesthetics should not be turned around on the patient like that. The left side is full of scar tissue b/c I can no longer scrunch my nose. There is no after care with Dr. Kim. He takes the cast off and will take a few phone calls but he has no recos to tape, no HBOT recos, you will be driving that train with him. I now need to muster up the courage to start consulting revision doctors at my year mark and decide if I can withstand going through the emotional turmoil of a 3rd operation to my face/nose to correct the liberties he took with my face. The healing and swelling post revision is awful. The cost of a revision is high and the outcomes aren't always good.

I waited a couple months to see how my face would recover. Microcurrent is supposed to be "non-permanent" noninvasive lifting effect. This person permanently changed my face shape, shortened my chin and jawline in an unflattering way, my face is significantly smaller in length/width/volume, it's unnatural and asymmetrical. I deeply regret being under this esthetician's hands. After research, a chemical peel should NOT be used with microcurrent technology, they are contraindicated unless at least 2 weeks apart and I don't know why this person puts them together with this "Uplift facial" which includes chemical peel before microcurrent. The chemicals are pushed into the skin tissue further with the microcurrent, eating away at healthy facial tissue and causing major volume loss. The areas where my jaw and neck attach look so weird, there is so much missing. (They replied claiming it's a "superficial" peel but peel they used removed my freckles and pigmentation, which is obviously chemical) The experience has been very traumatic. I don't really write reviews on Yelp but wanted to warn anyone looking for microcurrent to just go to a med spa or facility that does them more regularly, don't go through what I'm going through...

I've been coming here for about 8 years now, not so much because I particularly like this place but…read morebecause I like to make getting a facial a routine (about once a month). Jenny's Skin Care is an appointment-based business. One of my biggest issues here is the waiting. Even if I have an appointment, I still start 10 minutes after my appointment time (sometimes an additional 10-20 minutes if she's running late). Sometimes if she's overbooked, she tends to rush your procedure and isn't as thorough. Finding her business can be a bit tricky. It's one of the several businesses inside a building for Far East Trading Co. The other businesses in the first floor sell mostly the cheap clothing/jewelry that you'll find in all other Chinatown stores. There should be a banner out front for Jenny's Skin Care, but it can be easily missed with everything else hanging outside. In order to see the actual entrance for Jenny's Skin Care, you have to walk into the first floor of the Far East Trading Co. building and head straight down the narrow walkway/hallway (the businesses are lined up along both sides of the walkway). Walk all the way almost at the end of the hallway and you'll see a single glass door on the right where you'll see a banner identical to the one on the outside of the building. If the glass door is locked, you're going to have to call the number provided on the door (or the number from the banner that can be seen through the glass door) to reach Jenny so she can unlock it for you. If the glass door is unlocked, then head into the hallway and up the stairs that lead to another glass door, where you'll see Jenny's desk, couches, shelves of skincare products, and magazines in a clear coffee table in the lobby area. Jenny is the owner and performs all the facials. (Jenny's Skin Care also has a person that does body laser treatments that reduces visible fat & sculpts, but I have never tried these treatments because they're pricey and, for the most part, only the elderly women in Chinatown use this treatment.) Her facials are very helpful in removing pimples, preventing acne scarring, and cleaning my face thoroughly. She first steams your face to open your pores, and while this is going on, she may clean your face and/or put a cooling gel-like substance on dry parts of your face so the hot steam doesn't make your face burn. Then she uses a two sided metal stick (one end has a sharp-tipped needle and the other end is looped) to poke and pluck those pimples/whiteheads/blackheads out. She has other numerous machines that help with the procedure, such as one that helps close up the open wound from larger pimples, one that helps remove difficult blackheads that she couldn't scrape out, and so on. She is very understanding of the pain you're undergoing during this procedure and checks with you to see if you can handle her doing it anymore. She stops immediately if you tell her or give her any indication that you can't take it. It helps that she plays some soft jazzy/light rock/romance instrumental music in the background during facial procedures. (For older women, she also helps massage neck & shoulders in addition to the standard massaging of the face like all other customers.) Next, Jenny prepares a custom mask for your skin type, and after she spreads it evenly over your face, she'll leave you to rest (I typically sleep) for 20-30 minutes so the mask can set and work its magic. This part of the facial experience is usually a hit or miss for me. I can sometimes have a very peaceful, calming half hour sleeping through soft, soothing music; other times, I'll be trying to rest/sleep but won't able to because I can hear Jenny and other customers/visitors speaking very loudly in the lobby area (normal volume for those who speak Chinese). Jenny speaks very little English so addressing your concerns to her in English might not always work. After roughly half an hour has passed, she will return to wipe the mask off your face and apply any finishing touches (additional moisturizer, creams for acne, etc.) before you get up to pay and head out. My facials typically cost around $60 each, but my family members have been sharing a prepaid package for years and that rate may be a result of that package price. Moreover, my facial is a standard/basic one (for the everyday issues such as oily T-zone, dry areas on cheeks, occasional blackheads/whiteheads that need to be removed, acne issues, and so on). I know that other middle-aged women have come in to be treated with anti-aging kind of procedures and those can run $80 or more. All of Jenny's products are Asian brands, but they're very well-known trusted brands (i.e., T&J, SK-II, etc.). Overall, I'd recommend giving her facial a try (I can't argue with the results). If you liked any of the products she used, ask for a sample! Also ask for validation on the 1st hour for your parking stub from Washington Sq. parking lot!
