I really hate to write this but I feel I'd be doing others a disservice by not talking about my experience. I heard great things about this nail shop and thought I'd give it a shot. My first gel x set with them was decent but nothing great. I noticed I developed quite a few hang nails afterwards but thought maybe it was user error. Simply not applying my cuticle oil as diligently as I should. I decided to give them another shot once my gel x extensions grew out and after that appointment it confirmed I will never go back again. I walked in and was kindly greeted by a woman who asked what I needed and quickly sat me down to get the service started. Another woman came to where I was seated and began digging at my nails and yanking my hand. With every use of the drill she tore at my cuticles more and more. She then proceeded to use the cuticle scissors and ripped away at what was left of my cuticles. My entire left hand was left bleeding and in excruciating pain, to the point where my nails looked like I got in a fight and lost. It wasn't until she realized all my fingers on my left hand were bleeding that she stopped yanking at my hand and seemed to care about the terrible job she had been doing for the last hour. She finished my nails and told me she didn't charge me for the fill.... As if she was doing me a favor. I didn't want to pay but reluctantly did anyways but of course I did not tip her. It's now been three days and my cuticles are still red, raw, and in so much pain daily tasks such as showering and reaching into my purse have become sharp reminders of the terrible service and experience I received. I write all this to say, this place is not worth the pain and headache. read more

Decided to get last minute nails before vacation and visited lilypad. It was a cozy nail salon but I did not have a good first impression. Even before my nail tech did my nails, she kept trying to convince me to do gel instead of dipped powder nails that I had asked for. Why do I need to fight for what I want at a nail salon when I'm paying for the service? But maybe I should've listened because I was not happy with the results. Initially I wanted ombré but it turned out so bad on the first finger that I changed it to just one solid color instead. Not to mention they charge an additional $20 for Ombré. Even with just a single color, my nails as shown in the photo did not turn out well. The thumb here is clearly misshaped and the proportion is so off. Would not recommend getting dipped powder nails here. I would've been better off just buying fake nails from the store to put on myself. read more

I needed to get gel removed from my manicure in a hurry. Found the place on yelp, called and made an appointment. Showed up 2 mins before my appt time of 1145am when the woman says I will have to wait 5 mins. I said ok. After waiting 15 mins she says they are still running late (someone stuck in traffic or something) and need another 5 mins. After waiting for 25 mins past my appt, they finally were able to help me w/ the gel removal. This place is much closer to my place then my typical salon but given the lack of basic professionalism with keeping appointments on time, I won't be returning. read more

Mai ended my manicure with hot rags on my hands and lotion, which was my favorite part! I didn't catch the name of the lady who did my pedicure but she was great too and brang me hot tea while they did my nails. I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes mani/pedis. I usually opt to do them myself, I could probably count the number of times I've gotten them professionally done on one hand. Part of this might be because of a bad experience with acrylic nails. I decided I wanted to try to do dip nails. I did a quick search, found Lilypad Spa, set up an appointment day-of and walked in. The venue is rather unassuming but is pretty spacious, clean, and peaceful. The workers at the time were really nice and helpful. I opted for dip nail extension manicure and a gel pedicure. I may not have a ton of reference, but I'm in LOVE! I absolutely love my nails, I gaze at them often. Other people stop to compliment me on them as well! So far, great experience! I would for sure go back to get them refilled and I'm so excited to try different designs! read more

Went with a friend to get basic manicures, just polish. The woman painting my nails did a bad job, didn't paint all the way to the cuticle and missed the sides of several nails. I asked her if she could redo one or two and she did but they were still not fully covered. My friend sat under the nail dryer for approx 30 minutes if not more. My nails took longer so I sat under for about 10 mins then they told us we were done but didn't check if they were dry. Within an hour of leaving our nails were smudged and ruined because neither were dry. We went back and asked for a refund and for them to remove the polish, they removed it but refused a refund. We even offered to pay for the cuticle cutting and 'hand massage' and just be refunded for the polish but they said no. Considering they also didn't cut our cuticles correctly it seemed unfair. Won't be returning was very disappointed. read more

So I wanted to wait to post this review. I went a few weeks ago to get dipped nails done. Went great, they were super nice and my nails were done fantastic. I just went back to get the dipped removed. The woman who helped me seemingly sped through the removal process. During the removal process, she ended up cutting my cuticle and did not stop to check on it. When I left the shop and got home, I realized there was still some of the first dip layer on my nails. So she didn't remove all of it. I will note the same woman who got rid of the polish wasn't the one who put it on, but I still am disappointed. I also paid $20 for the removal and I felt like only half of it was done. I'm disappointed as their in walking distance and I love the original job. read more

I came here for a mani-pedi (gel nails and regular pedicure) on New Year's Eve at about 1pm (there was no wait). They also offered free hot tea, mimosas, and water while you get your nails done. PEDICURE: My pedicure included a slight massage, hot stones, and hot towels. Overall, it took around 30-45 minutes. My pedicurist, Yen, was extremely gentle and gave my feet a great pedicure and massage. My feet feel so relaxed, clean, and look great! MANICURE: I got a gel manicure from Hena, who took great care of my nails. She was also gentle and made my nails exactly the shape I wanted it to be. The color was perfect and I couldn't have been happier. In total, the mani-pedi was $72 (mani is $40, pedi is $35, but the total is $3 off if you get both). They also gave free gifts to those that came in and I was gifted a mug with their branding on it. Overall, I'm so happy I stopped by and will be back again! read more

I booked a couples pedicure for my bf and I. It was his first and in a way I felt like a born again pedi virgin because 1) I never get my nails done 2) I don't like strangers touching my feet 3) pedis are not pleasant as they tickle 4) I was never one of those ladies that loved getting fresh manis and pedis because let's face it I'm a destructive being who is destined to scratch and nick her nails. We came in on a chill Saturday afternoon. Upon arriving we saw another couple getting pedis in a shared seat. They have two of those, apparently couples pedis are a thing. This eased my bf's mind and although he thought the idea of a pedi was weird, afterwards his nasty feet looked brand new. It was about $35 each for a foot soak, some clean up, scrubbing (worse part if you're ticklish), and hot stones which I didn't think felt heavenly but it was a nice to have. Mind you, I don't enjoy pedis because I'm ticklish AF but the end product was quite lovely. My feet were freed from dried nasty scales and so fresh and so so clean. I chose a dark purple border black color of polish because I am the princess of darkness. Overall the ladies were nice and they offer you a drink of your choice upon arrival. I would totally come pay another visit for another tune up. read more

Popped into this new spot after coming from a glorious massage at Project Zen, and was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. I was able to walk in and get a manicure, no wait needed. They offer the new powder manicures, which are supposed to be better than the gel and shellac (since you don't need to sit under a UV lamp for it). The place was nice and relatively clean. They offer you beverages and have a couple snacks for customers (always a favorite for me). My technician was pretty good. I asked for a design on two of my nails ($4 per hand), and she did a good job with a cute free hand flower design. The set up of this place is pretty nice and relaxing. Service appears relatively fast as well, but this could depend on the day/time. Highly recommend appointment in advance, just to ensure you are able to be seen. Otherwise expect pretty solid work and service. read more

I'm not sure why the manicure began chipping like crazy, I went in to have a dip and gel manicure within three days the first nail chipped and it it's been downhill ever since. Now there's six and there's nothing worse then to walk around with chipped nails, until you can make an appointment with a different salon. The girl was pleasant and professional, it when I walked out the first day I thought it was worth the 100.00 I paid, but it wasn't worth 10.00. I'll have to go to my lady in Santa Clara, when she does it it lasts until I can make another appointment and my nails grow and don't chip when she does them, so now I'll have to spend more money to have them done correctly. When I pointed out the gel on one of my nails was slightly overhanging, the tech took the time and checked each of my nails for the same thing. I appreciate the attention to detail! I went to a this nail salon today. There were several women already there including two who seemed to be having a particularly good time. Since it's Mother's Day, this nail place was so nice and gave each customer a glass of champagne. Two certain ladies were fully taking advantage of this perk. Loud. Rude. Started FaceTiming friends on full volume with no consideration for everyone else trying to relax let alone the workers who were trying to do a good job on their nails. Talking about wildly inappropriate things that made me want to squish these cotton swabs in my ears. But what really got me was at the end. One of the ladies goes up to pay (and leave finally) and says to one of the salon workers, "You guys don't have to be so cheap on the champagne. It IS Mother's Day." She walks away and the worker said, "Um, you still didn't pay..." (lady was drunk. duh.) "UGH, can you hurry then. Our taxi is almost here," she scoffed back. Do they not realize 1) this is not a bar And 2).... Many of these women are mothers too and instead of being with their children they are here trying to be patient with your rudeness. They do not deserve this. Everyone was in shock at how rude these women were. And yet the employees here handled those terrible attitudes won grace and patience! What a reminder...the world does not revolve around you. And, paying for a service does not give you the right to disrespect anyone. If anything THESE women working today deserve some extra bubbly and so much more. Good job ladies!! You bet I'm tipping high and giving a good yelp review. Come by and do the same. 'No massage?" - both manicure girl and pedicure girl. And they were trying to start doing it! Are you kidding me? Mani-pedi don't necessarily mean massage. Not everyone like it or can stand it. I personally can't! Still they kept harassing me with these 'no massage?'. Manicure girl was OK, although I couldn't understand anything she was saying as much as I was trying. Her English is difficult to understand. That's OK with me but impossible to make any contact. Pedicure girl - I give her one stare if not zero star. She treated me like I was a mannequin not as an alive person with sensitive feet. She is pretty rough with sharp instruments when she cleans the nail toes and the way she uses a nail file. I have just come from the appointment and I am hurting. When I said I had sensitive feet, she just dropped the job and didn't do anything with my heels or feet. She just did toes. So I'll have to finish the job myself. $100 paid, no satisfaction. Will finish the job myself. The appointment was a disappointment. Won't return to this place. God bless! P.S.
