Friday night nail date. There are so many places to choose from in Cow Hollow. This is a welcome addition regardless of the many others. They're friendly and have a great selection of colors. $55 for mani pedi. Massage chairs. Candy. All the things a person could ask for in a quick experience. The only problem tonight was there was a man getting his nails done who was on his phone for a while a few times while I was there. During my pedicure the nail tech cut the skin on the inside of my nail. It hurt so bad and shocked me that I pulled my foot away and jumped up. I've never experienced anything like that before during a pedicure. There is visible damage to the skin. The nail tech apologized to me and said something in another language to the other nail techs and continued with the pedicure. I was expecting a complimentary pedicure for the inconvenience or at the least an offer to return for a discount. Nothing was offered. I paid $41 and left. Very disappointing. I will never return and will tell all my friends to go somewhere else. read more

Sam from nail lab does the best french manicure I've had in the city! I'm pretty picky with my french nails and I feel like most spots have little issues, like the tips are uneven, or the shape is asymmetrical or unflattering. Its not a big deal but when I get a perfect french manicure I take notice. This is 1 of 2 spots in the bay area that I've found. Service was fine - got a gel manicure priced at $45. I wanted the cat eye polish and that was $60, which seemed high, so I went with a regular kind. Went to pay and it was an extra $5 to remove the old gel, and then I was charged an additional $1.75 for using a credit card. I know $45 is more or less standard for gel but the extra $5 and then the extra 1.75 without telling me head of time wasn't cool. I can definitely find a new place. read more

I decided this evening that it was time to try a new nail salon in the Marina as the one I used to frequent on Lombard just became too snooty and rushed. Enter Nail Lab, I called and was able to come in immediately. Sam gave me a gel manicure, he was so thorough yet quick. I came in with torn and extremely short nails and left feeling like I had a total revamp. Very happy with my experience and I'll definitely be coming back. This is my new go-to nail salon for regular manis and pedis! In an area that is teeming with nail salons this one stands out. There is a decent selection of nail polish and comfy massage chairs for pedicures. The folks there do an excellent job and are extremely detail-oriented and super gentle. They'll do pedi and mani at the same time to get you done quicker. I recommend calling ahead for appointments as I've seen them have to turn away walk-ins. read more

However, they are in the process of moving locations and still let me make an appointment for today two weeks ago. I show up just to find out they're closed. I loved this place-- definitely give them your business if you need a high quality yet affordable mani pedi! Amazing color selection, nicest staff, clean & professional salon, relaxing experience, did it relatively quick (which is my preference as I'm usually on a tight schedule). I went in a few weeks ago with my mom. Called that day, a Saturday, and they were so kind and accommodating to fit us in asap. My nails have never looked better and it's been over 2 whole weeks and not a SINGLE chip. I do a lot of dishes and baking and work with my hands... and get so sad when gel will start peeling or chip. Not the case with this place! Idk what they did but my nails feel healthy and strong :) Will be my new go-to in this neighborhood!
