I highly recommend coming to Tint Nail Spa for a Brazilian wax or any of your other waxing needs! I've been getting waxed for years and have gone to many different spas/wax centers. Tint Nail Spa is by far the best wax experience! The wax technician is highly skilled and shows in her technique, attention to detail, and making sure it's as pain-free as possible. Since I've started going to her, my skin has improved (I have sensitive skin). It is the most luxurious waxing experience I've had (and I'm not just saying that to be nice) and the facility/room is super clean, comfy, and relaxing. I'm really bummed. I got my nails done on 5/3 and they are now totally ruined, only 10 days later. I loved the employees and I loved my nails at first (the Gel X extensions), but after 3 days my pinky nail came off and now I have to keep gluing it. And after 8 days, one of the nails completely broke when I was literally just picking something off the floor. I am traveling for work and have to cancel one of my meetings to get my nails done in a random city because I have a work event tonight that I got the nails done for. The only thing good was that I was walk in but I could tell she rushed everything and didn't do a proper job. The nail and cuticle prep was done very quickly it was not a thorough job. I tried to trust the process and not judge but told her about the polish getting on the skin very uneven. She reassured me that she will file after. She did 3 coats of gel color. Afterwards she cleaned the sides like she said she would but it looks like it wasn't cleaned. That shows how bad the application was before the cleanup. Everything was so quick and aggressive my fingers feel raw right now and the skin under and around my nails hurt from her filing the ends. The top of the nail doesn't reach the cuticles and is uneven application. The sides don't reach either and I can see the different layers. The nail is bumpy not smooth application. The top coat did not reach the entire nail I could see some parts of the nail was missed. You can see the pictures. This is not something you want from a salon. There was not a moment I enjoyed the experience. The nails look like it was done by someone's first time with no experience. Completely unprofessional. But even worse is my fingers hurt and may take several days to heal from the cuts. read more

This used to be one of my favorite places to go to get a pedicure, but this last time I went ruined it for me. A friend and I got pedicures and dip manicures and were not at all impressed. Both of us were cut multiple times on the feet and hands, my nails are all different shapes and slanted in odd directions, my friend's dips weren't filed well and there were large chunks of the dip powder left in spots on her nails. This is a pretty good nail salon. I got a gel manicure here twice in the last 6 weeks after I saw their Groupon promotion. My overall experience was okay: appointments were on time, I was offered tea or water, and the manicure was standard quality. However, each time I went, there were issues with their payment policies. On my first visit, I watched the owner ask another client for tip. Since the client had already paid online and didn't have cash with her, she would have had to do a separate charge just for a tip. Also, tips are usually given, not requested. It was pretty awkward and it was loud enough that it drew attention from other clients like me who were there. I felt bad for the client. On my second visit, I booked a Gel manicure and gel removal since I needed to get the previous gel from this salon off. When you book online on Yelp, it clearly states that gel removal is FREE with any gel service. I was then told upon checking out that the fine print of the groupon says gel removal actually isn't free. I showed the nail tech the where it says Free on Yelp and the tech called the owner to ask what to do. The owner then yelled at the tech through the phone "just tell the client it's not included and she has to pay!" This was a lot of nonsense over a $5 charge and was a bad end to an otherwise decent appointment. Fine if that's how you want to run your business, but it left me with a bad taste in my mouth and feeling like you entice people to try your salon with a coupon that actually forces you to pay for what would otherwise be free in a normal appointment. My nails look pretty good, but I go to the salon for a relaxing and positive experience, not to be embarrassed or watch others be embarrassed. I don't think I'll be back. Please treat your clients and your staff with more respect. read more

The spa has very warm vibes and comfortable chairs. Super sweet crew. Really helpful giving suggestions for nail colors for my friend and I. SUPER clean gel manicure. I'm picky about how clean my manicure is (I dislike being able to see where first and second coats were placed near my cuticle, sides of nails polished in an uneven line, etc...) and none of that here! -1 Star because the hand care portion was the shortest I've ever had. She rubbed lotion on my hand long enough to just cover my hand, no massage which is my favorite part :(, wiped off lotion with a hot towel, and that was it! Friend was getting a normal manicure and Lauren noticed a tiny hair that had gotten stuck on one of the fingers and asked to redo the whole nail instead of trying to cover it up--stellar. They seemed surprised when we were thankful for their honesty but you'd be surprised how many salons wouldn't have done that. Love that they care about the work they do and the nails their customers leave with. LOVE how easy it is to book the appointment and how cute the place is--offered tea or water. While visiting my sister, we decided to get gel manicures while visiting our favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood (shout out to The Coffee Movement!!). I get gel manicures very frequently and am always wary of trying new places as I am a self-confessed peeler. This salon is ADORABLE! The decor is super cute and the staff was wonderful and highly attentive. They gave color suggestions, always made sure our water was filled, and that we were satisfied with the outcome of our manicures. I opted for OPI Bubble Bath, and my technician nailed it with precision. I told my sister I would fly out to see her once a month if that meant I could get my nails done regularly here. I will definitely make it a point to be sure my nails are done here while I visit the city, which is pretty often. read more

After reading all the Yelp reviews, I had high hopes when I decided to try Tint Nail Spa. Unfortunately this has been one of the worst experience. I went in for a gel change ($22 + $3 if you want to have your nails filed). The technician was so rough, she filed the skin of my fingers, and cut my nails so short it hurts. The gel dried in an uneven shape and is peeling off, less than 48 hours after I got them done. What a painful waste of time and money! read more

Here's the issues I have with the salon at this point 1. The owner published MY personal confidential info about what I had purchased, that had no baring on what I had complained about (girlfriends 130$ manicure) She even tried to personally name the person I was with and expose relationship details about what I purchased for her, luckily she shanked that one. I wouldn't want to out her publicly. I feel bad for whatever other person you decided to publish data implying they were in a relationship with me down below this review. (Also even in San Francisco it's still kinda bad to out people for their safety) Publicly trying to out people and their personal data in retaliation for a negative review is pretty terrible in my opinion. 2. They used sales tactics where they casually asked for upcharges without saying the prices or what they were doing targeting my friend "oh would you like a little more Massage" "i could use a stone..." while I constantly had to tell her what they were doing 3. They held us hostage over the tip 4 they raised their voice to me 5 they told my friend they charged her more for the tip because of the way I acted (questioning the 130$ manicure) 6. Bribe people at the register for 5 star reviews None of this is acceptable, they have no knowledge of how to run their business or basic customer service, the way they acted reminded me of slimy bars that try and trap soldiers into paying hundreds in Korea. read more

This is my absolute favorite nail spa of all time. The women are all so sweet and very good at their jobs. It's important to them that you're happy with the turnout. My friend and I brought a Groupon for a Manicure and a "citrus" Pedicure online for $49 only to find out that the regular price for Mani/Pedi without Groupon in-store is about $44. So make sure you do a little research before purchasing the Groupon, because you actually don't save any money. (Nor is there any difference with the "citrus" pedicure). Overall the owner is very responsive and quick when making an appointment. They allow Venmo for tips (convenient!) And the location is great! They are located in Nob Hill, so walking distance from hit locations such as downtown and Chinatown but far enough that there is no traffic. For the service itself, I would rate my mani/pedi a 3/5 stars. The quality is highly dependant on who you get. I had the owner do my pedicure and it was great. Didn't chip and great attention to detail. She even overheard me mentioning I wanted a different shade of pink and she went out of her way to grab me it. For my manicure, I had a Chinese lady who helped me and I was slightly turned off. She was messy-- when she was massaging my hands and arms with lotion, I informed her that I had a hairband on my arm and she told me that it was okay (she then proceed to rub lotion all over my hair band). I informed her that my sleeves were slipping down and asked if I could move it up and she told me again that it's okay (she then proceed to pull up my sleeves with her hands and got lotion all over my sleeves). My manicure chipped within 2 days. Overall, I was very pleased with my pedicure, but not the manicure. I had the worst experience ever!!! Kathy was so rude. She gave me a bad attitude and no patient. I felt she was so mad and tried to get it done as soon as possible. Sometimes she stared my friend too when we were talking. Me and my friends felt so embarrassed. When she massaged my hand. Her nails scratched my hand so bad. Came here for an appt this morning; I'm in town for work and desperately needed to get my nails done. The whole team was very helpful- they got started on my right away. The pedicure and gel manicure happened at the same time. I'm not the most coordinated so at times, it was tough. The people are so rude. I got there about 10 minutes before my appointment. I was picking out my color and they were rushing me to put my feet in the water but I hadn't picked out the color yet which is in the front of the salon. They kept rushing me and rushing me it was so rude. There was no one else there it's not like they were busy. Then the lady is man handling my feet trying to force my feet in different directions. It was not comfortable. The worst part...the lotion was so freaking hot when they put it on my feet it actually burnt my ankle. They had no sense of how hot it was and didn't think to maybe let it cool or test it before covering my feet in scalding hot lotion. They did a good job on my nails, but that experience was terrible. I had the WORST nail experience of my life coming to Tint Nail Salon. I came about 10 minutes early for my appointment, and they told me to pick a nail polish color. I spent a couple of minutes looking at the different colors and then they told me to hurry up, even though I still had about 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Then they did my mani/pedi. Nothing spectacular and they did not give me a foot massage, even though that was advetised with the service. But the worst part was the nail art I asked them to do. I found a picture from THEIR website of a design they had done on a previous client that I liked and asked them to do. They kept messing up and each time I told them what was wrong the person doing my nails got more and more mad and proceeded to tell me it was my fault because my nails were too small and I did not let them dry long enough. I was in there for over two hours. I posted a picture of the final result...no where NEAR what the picture was that they have on their website. They then tried to bully me into giving them a bigger tip when what I gave them was "too small". I left there frustrated and late for work. Do NOT go here.
