$113 similar weight (no weight listed on receipt) from Southwest

wow - pricing here was crazy! Bought 6 "boulders" small enough that I, a 60+ woman, can lift them and the bill was over $400! Previously bought from Whitewater Rock and Supply in Palm Springs area - at Whitewater Rock an 80 lb green stone was $28 versus the same type of stone $113 this weekend at Southwest. See pics. At Whitewater I have literally filled the back of my SUV with lovely rocks and rock pavers for under $200. At Southwest Boulder my few rocks easily fit in a portion of my Audi sedan's small trunk. For $400!!!! Though the rocks were nice, prices were crazy, and not marked, so I only found out the price at the register. Will not visit again.

Polished and high polished river rock.

I was looking for river rock they have a many samples. My client was looking for a high polished river rock. I was able to get this order delivered to the job site.Customer service is great.

We visited this place for the landscape small rocks. They have a variety of small rocks and big pebbles compared to the Home Depot. We noticed the 1 cubic yard (1.25 Tons) is about $200 to 450 depends on the rock size and name. They decorated inside such as the hotel waterfall wall, patio fountain, stone tables and chairs. But they charge the delivery fee over $180 plus packing fees. We think it is pricey. This place is good for the landscape experts and contractors for the custom big project. Overall, we had good time to take a look at all the different sized small rocks and pebbles. They open 8 to 4 on Sat. Closed on Sunday.

Paul & crew are amazing!! Great consumer service, i was struggling trying to find a specific type of flagstone that was not around my area, Paul helped me to get it delivered asap, he in fact ordered more than i thought i was going to need and i did end up needing more material, great thinking from his side. Big hork creek flagstone. I ended up buying over 6 tons of flagstone and thankfully to his intuition of ordering more i would of had been in big trouble if he wouldn't had ordered more because they brought that flagstone from san diego area. Would of had taken much longer for material to arrive. Great customer service

Rocks by the ton!

Southwest Boulder & Stone rocks. It also has rocks. Tons of them! Any kind of stone you can imagine is here, from tiny pea gravel all the way up to huge boulders, of numerous types and varieties. And if they don't have it immediately available, they can find it for you. We came here looking for some ground cover for a couple garden areas, and were blown away by the sheer number of possibilities. There are also many options for paving stones and decorative rock. There is a wholesale type atmosphere here, and it is clearly a place where contractors would go for materials. The prices were very reasonable and there seemed to be discounts available, especially if you buy large quantities. Employees on site were friendly and approachable. If you ask they will explain the ordering and delivery process, which is all quite simple. Also as others have mentioned they allow you to take samples of rock so you can see how it would look in a particular application. Five stars, best rock supply out there.

I decided to visit Southwest Boulder & Stone because I wanted to be able to hand select a few large boulders for my garden. The crew working there was very helpful both on the phone and in person. They have three types of large boulders on site that you can select from, as well of a selection of other types of boulders that you can custom order. They also have other types of stones (such as river stones) that you can pick out. The prices were very reasonable, with the 1.5 ft Desert Sand Boulders costing about $30 each. I think the 2" Desert Sand Boulders were around $50 each. The river stones were based on weight, but we got about 20 of them for $16. Delivery to Los Angeles costs $300.

Inventory appears healthy, though as other reviews mentioned, prices are slightly higher than similar plant stores and nurseries. When I came on a Sunday afternoon, there was a workshop happening (the other two-thirds of the space), so classes are probably where the Green Place focuses most of their efforts I would guess. The associate up front wasn't friendly or unfriendly, but I also didn't feel compelled to leave with a new houseplant. Maybe if the occasion arises, it would be a fun spot to do a group activity - but personally, that isn't today for me.

The plants I got were some Pothos, Dracaena, and Monstera. I loved that they explained to me how to take care of the plants. The team there also helped me select the plants that would be best for the amount of light that comes into my place. The average cost for the plants I bought were around $12-15 and I'd say they're about small-medium sized plants. As a bonus, they also partnered with another small business that offers pottery painting towards the back of the store. You could probably purchase a plant and then paint something to put the plant in. How cool!

They were the only place…read morelocally that I could find that have them and they're one of the few plant nurseries I've ever found with a pretty updated website! It was easy to park once I got here and their selection is HUGE. They have pretty mature trees but they do have younger ones available, really depends what you're looking for. I walked around a bit just in awe of the unique fruits they had, but then after a bit couldn't really find someone to help me. I couldn't find the citruses, but when I finally found some help and asked for yuzu, they actually went to a employee-only area and grabbed a couple yuzu in plant sleeves for me. Asked me which of the two he was holding I liked and I picked and paid right there. He asked if I was planning on planting it in a pot or in ground and when I said pot, he showed me which size I should pot it in and not to go bigger. There were also a couple fruit on the tree, but he said it was old and to just toss them, I figure they were probably left on to show that the tree fruits. He asked if I was potting today and I said within the week and he added a bit of extra soil for me. Would've liked a little more information on caring for it and didn't see if they had any soil available for purchase, but I figured it out on my own. It's been a couple months but the yuzu is still alive and healthy thankfully! Would give them 4.5 but will err towards a 5 since they selection is sooo good and I probably could've gotten more help if I actually asked.

Mimosa Nursery carries a wide variety of fruit trees and plants. If you've been searching for a…read morespecific type of citrus tree, give them a call to see if they have it in stock. I had been looking for a yuzu tree, and this was the only place that had one and it was already 4 feet tall and only $60! Citrus trees are hard to find in Orange County due to quarantine restrictions, and some cities are even banned from purchasing them. I was surprised to discover that Mimosa Nursery not only carries citrus trees but also yuzu specifically. Beyond citrus, they have an impressive selection of other fruit trees as well. I also picked up a 7-gallon Violette de Bordeaux fig tree for $65. While you might find some of these plants cheaper elsewhere, many of the fruit trees here are already fruiting or have been pruned to the size and shape of a tree, which means they are more developed than the typical seedlings sold at lower prices. Service is very straightforward - you're not going to spend half a day chatting it up with them here. I highly recommend checking out Mimosa Nursery if you're on the hunt for a specific fruit tree. Bonus: they accept credit cards!

Sometimes I just want to stay home on the weekend and do nothing. Even an extrovert needs a break…read more My husband said no! lol When he starts a project, there's no stopping him. "Well, if we're going to replace the toilet in here, we might as well rip this cheap flooring out that came with the condo and put in new tile..." This lead to a new mirror, sink, fixtures, a new countertop, a new tub, etc So he again puts me to work on a weekend and said use your Yelp elite skills and find us a place to go. I said well, we live by the mile of tile... but I do my research anyways. TBH - the first time we walked in, I didn't get the warm and fuzzies. I mean I don't want to be stalked while shopping but, I do want to be acknowledged esp since we had questions. Anyways, we ended getting help from Ana and it's been great since. My husband is in charge of this project so he mostly deals with the contractor, our vendors, etc There's plenty of variety to choose from and besides Ana, we had been helped by others when she's not there. Everyone is helpful and gives you options based on what you tell them you're looking for. I'm sure we will be back for more projects in the future!

They were one of the few places I found that carried prefabricated quartz countertops within my budget. That's where the positive experience ended though. The countertops that came in looked like a watered down version of the floor sample, much more plain and washed out. I understand these are manufactured items and won't be identical, but they should still be in the same range as what is displayed. We even reordered with a different style, thinking that might solve the issue, but the second set had the same problem. After two failed attempts, I tried to cancel the order altogether. The items never left the facility, but Bodega would not allow a return. My contractor even tried to convert the order into store credit to use for another client, and that request was also refused. Customer service only added to the frustration. I came in right at opening one day because I needed to get in and out quickly before work. Despite that, I was passed over while staff handled a large tile delivery, which could have easily been done before opening or at a less busy time. I understand waiting my turn, but this felt poorly managed and inconsiderate, and it nearly made me late. Overall, this was a disappointing experience on multiple levels. Between the product issues, lack of flexibility, and poor service, I would not recommend coming here.
