ATX Towing

My car's battery died on January 21, the coldest night of the month and I called several towing…read morecompanies, none of them picked up accept ATX. Back story, 3 weeks prior I had problems starting my car; took it to the dealer and was told everything was fine with battery. Fast forward to 1/21 and I'm stranded in Austin. Michael from ATX was just wonderful and very professional. He got my car started and was extremely patient while I worked with that Venmo App. I would certainly use them again. Christina M.

DO NOT LET THEM KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS. Retrieved my vehicle from this facility and attempted…read moreto pay with a debit card. Staff informed me that I would be charged an additional fee for using my debit card and required me to sign paperwork agreeing to the fee before they would release my vehicle. Because I did not want to pay the added charge, I was directed to use the on-site ATM and pay cash instead. My understanding is that Texas vehicle storage facilities are regulated by the TDLR and must comply with state rules regarding vehicle release procedures and payment practices. Texas law also restricts surcharges on debit card transactions under Texas Business & Commerce Code § 604A.002. I encourage anyone retrieving a vehicle here to ask for an itemized receipt, review all paperwork carefully, and document any additional payment-related fees before paying.I will be reporting this establishment to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Reliant Towing

While no one likes getting their car towed, I can say I had a pretty pleasant experience this time…read morearound (the first time not so much, but you can find that review on google reviews). The backstory: My apartment complex accidentally leased my garage unit, towed my car, and removed all of my belongings. While they paid for all of the charges, I still had to manage a way to get my car back / go down to Reliant Towing to retrieve my vehicle. The staff at Reliant were able to arrange with my apartment complex all of the invoicing, as well as a driver to bring my car back - (Albert) who went above and beyond to ensure that my specialty import car was taken care of and handled with care and patience.

I can't believe a business like this is allowed to operate. Our car was towed from our apartment…read morewith no warning, and when we tried to call to find out where to retrieve it, they put us on hold eight different times instead of providing the basic information we needed. When we finally arrived at the remote pickup location, we were completely ignored even though Aida (the person behind the glass) could clearly see us. After trying to make eye contact and waving politely, we eventually resorted to lightly knocking on the window because we were stranded and our Uber had already left. Aida then yelled at us through the window, saying she didn't care if we waited all night and that it wasn't her problem. I want to highlight that it was around 11:15 PM, and we are two women alone. The area was very shady, and we were genuinely scared to be out there by ourselves. After she yelled, she walked away again. The whole time we were standing in full view, and she continued to ignore us on purpose. We kept hearing movement and rattling in the bushes by the patio, which made everything feel even more unsafe. We even called the office again hoping she would at least speak to us over the phone and give us an ETA, but as soon as she realized the call was coming from us, she hung up. It took over an hour for her to release our vehicle, even though there were no other customers waiting. What really shocked us was that she then assisted people who arrived after us, who happened to be white, immediately and without hostility. The difference in treatment was extremely noticeable and made us feel singled out and uncomfortable. This entire experience was unsafe, unprofessional, and discriminatory. We were scared, stranded, and simply trying to pick up our own car. No business should treat people this way.
