While no one likes getting their car towed, I can say I had a pretty pleasant experience this time around (the first time not so much, but you can find that review on google reviews). The backstory: My apartment complex accidentally leased my garage unit, towed my car, and removed all of my belongings. While they paid for all of the charges, I still had to manage a way to get my car back / go down to Reliant Towing to retrieve my vehicle. The staff at Reliant were able to arrange with my apartment complex all of the invoicing, as well as a driver to bring my car back - (Albert) who went above and beyond to ensure that my specialty import car was taken care of and handled with care and patience. read more

Reliant Towing recently performed a non-consensual tow of my two vehicles from my apartment complex during a routine, non-emergency parking lot maintenance project. Not only did they fail to verify that residents were given proper statutory notice, but they also completely violated Austin City Code Section 13-6-6 by failing to report the tow to the local police or 311 dispatch within the mandatory 45-minute window. When I called Austin 311 to track down my missing vehicles, the city had absolutely zero record of the tow because Reliant never reported it. To make matters worse, instead of taking my vehicles to a licensed Vehicle Storage Facility as required by Texas state law, they illegally relocated them to an completely unauthorized property down the street and left me entirely in the dark. An official complaint has been filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) for these severe compliance violations. If you are a property manager looking for a reputable contractor, stay far away from this company unless you want massive legal liabilities. If you are a consumer who has been towed by them, call 311 immediately to check if they actually reported it--because chances are, they didn't. read more

I can't believe a business like this is allowed to operate. Our car was towed from our apartment with no warning, and when we tried to call to find out where to retrieve it, they put us on hold eight different times instead of providing the basic information we needed. When we finally arrived at the remote pickup location, we were completely ignored even though Aida (the person behind the glass) could clearly see us. After trying to make eye contact and waving politely, we eventually resorted to lightly knocking on the window because we were stranded and our Uber had already left. Aida then yelled at us through the window, saying she didn't care if we waited all night and that it wasn't her problem. I want to highlight that it was around 11:15 PM, and we are two women alone. The area was very shady, and we were genuinely scared to be out there by ourselves. After she yelled, she walked away again. The whole time we were standing in full view, and she continued to ignore us on purpose. We kept hearing movement and rattling in the bushes by the patio, which made everything feel even more unsafe. We even called the office again hoping she would at least speak to us over the phone and give us an ETA, but as soon as she realized the call was coming from us, she hung up. It took over an hour for her to release our vehicle, even though there were no other customers waiting. What really shocked us was that she then assisted people who arrived after us, who happened to be white, immediately and without hostility. The difference in treatment was extremely noticeable and made us feel singled out and uncomfortable. This entire experience was unsafe, unprofessional, and discriminatory. We were scared, stranded, and simply trying to pick up our own car. No business should treat people this way. read more

The "lady" working behind the desk during the day is a cruel, rude, disgusting human being. She makes elderly people walk long distances in 95 degree heat in direct sun. Extremely gross behavior. Zero empathy. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It doesn't take much to have a little care for people who are already in a stressful situation. Also they charge a crazy amount of money to get your vehicle back... while being horrible... so it's just adding insult to injury. Try having a heart! read more

The worst Towing Company that exists in the whole state, they are super racist service of very poor quality, they try to do everything possible so that you can not recover your car, in short they are the worst read more

They use vulture tactics to grab cars. They wait until the second a car is expired to take it. They have knowledge of this because they give kickbacks to the apartment complex's and use the "R2" parking app to track cars currently at the residence. I'm going to file a complaint with the city and the complex for using this tactic. I recommend everyone else do so. read more

Horrible just horrible. The lady at the front desk is extremely rude and just flat out disgusting. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. I was driving out of an apartment complex with some construction. I was directed to a closed gate and when I got out to look at it, a heavy set man with a beard got out of a Reliant Towing truck and started screaming violent threats at me. He was obviously unhinged and shouldn't be in charge of a vehicle let alone towing other people's vehicles. We both left with no other altercation but I'll certainly never use their business. read more

They're also rude about their fees and act like you should have it all figured out already. They stack whichever set of fees they feel like will make them the money they so desperately need. Their facilities suck and are run down. And they're rude. And they steal cars. Bad people Bad company. read more

Incredibly shady business. They towed my car at 5 in the morning when my parking pass expired overnight and I was unaware. I had to take an uber to their towing yard which is in a very secluded strange area. They made me and my partner wait outside for almost 30 minutes for absolutely no reason, when they had two employees sitting right there. I could hear one of the lady's yelling at someone over the phone inside and being incredibly nasty and taunting and berating the customer on the phone. This business needs to be investigated, something seems very off with it. read more

I would not recommend using this company for roadside assistance or to tow your vehicle to the shop. The overnight clerk is racist and rude. She forced me to walk IN THE RAIN to get my car and wouldn't allow my friend to drive me so I wouldn't get wet and muddy. The whole time she kept saying and commenting how long my name was for no reason at all and eventually just started saying "Don't forget to write down your 5,000 names" even after I asked her to stop. Predatory towing practices. All they do is circle the block and apartment complexs late at night on the weekends. read more

The obese lady with the glasses has a attitude problem. They're very rude and disrespectful. They'll tow your car just to tow it the ad on fees that make no sense then they don't know what the fees are. They have people working there that have no idea what they're doing. They're hanging up phones and peoples faces and they have zero customer service. Then they're not even going 24 hours to consider the next day if it's just the next rollover calendar day it's considered the next day so if they take your car at 11 PM, guess what you're paying an extra 22. 85 because when it hits 12 o'clock, they're adding that on the bill. read more

Towing company finds ways to keep the vehicle for longer in order to drive up storage time.

On the night of September 18, 2025, I called Reliant Towing and was told by a representative that my vehicle would be released for $243.85 so long as I arrived before 10:00 AM the next morning. I arrived at 9:45 AM on September 19, 2025, only to be told by Mr. Mark that the fee was actually $259.21. When I asked him to explain the difference and cite the "state law" he claimed required the higher charge, he refused and told me to "look it up." He also said he didn't know who had worked the night before, leaving me with no accountability for the misinformation I received. This experience was unprofessional, misleading, and left me feeling taken advantage of. I was given a firm price, followed the instructions exactly, and still ended up paying more--without any clear explanation or transparency. I will also be reporting this matter to the Better Business Bureau. Consumers deserve honesty, consistency, and respect when dealing with companies that hold their personal property. read more

This is by far the worst tow yard I have ever dealt with. They were extremely disrespectful and treated me differently just because I am Hispanic. They refused to let me even enter to get my car, wouldn't allow me to jump-start it, and forced me to pay for a tow truck just to move it a few meters out of their yard--something I could have easily done myself. I saw them allow other people to go in with their trucks, let mechanics work inside, and basically do whatever they needed, but when it came to me, they wouldn't let me do anything. The discrimination here is unbelievable. Absolutely unprofessional and unfair. again and I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was verbally assaulted by the window attendant [agent of company] (working on Aug 12 2025 @ 6pm) when attempting to retrieve vehicle they towed from my apartment complex. I asked him for a copy of the receipt and he told me to "f**k off." I asked him for his full name and was, again, told to "f**l off." Please film your interactions and be careful since they are aggressive. In the time I was there, the only other two customers there filed complaints for vehicle damages Reliant Towing caused them after they wrongfully towed their vehicles. NOTE: the parent company (CDMA Group LLC) has a cease and desist order from Texas Department of Licensure and Regulation as of June 2024, and they cannot lawfully operate as a towing company.
