Shout out to joseph! He helped my boyfriend release the car asap while being empathetic. it's easy to blame the tow company rather then the actual people who called in the first place, but he kept it cool which helped us keep it cool as well. thankfully, unlike other reviews, our car wasn't touched or damaged. he made this bad experience a learning moment. read more

Excellent customer service! Very prompt to service calls and very helpful. Definitely recommend using them as a Towing vendor. I actually decided to use this company at my business after my car was towed at another location. Of course it was my fault, but they took care of my vehicle did not damage it and answered any questions I had it was a very valuable experience. read more

What a ripoff. This company is a scam. If you're reading this and you need a tow truck, I would highly recommend avoiding this tow scam company and call another company if you're in need. The oh well sucks for you attitude from the staff was ridiculous. Girlfriend's car was towed from my complex on a Sunday and (conveniently for them) they charge 100 bucks more on sundays. Never have seen a tow truck around and have lived here for two years. I have 1 parking spot and visitors have to park on street. Street is always full so visitors have to sometime park in the fire lane 30ft from my condo. Parked there for 20 mins with hazards on. Car was gone after 20mins. Called them and they said the drivers patrol around looking for violations?? Are they law enforcement now? Who gave them this authority? Shame on this place. They charged her 400 dollars for a 1.2mile tow 100 of which was due to being a Sunday and 60 being 24hrs hold. Had her car for 1hr. One of the drivers told me he was at my complex 3xs today. How profitable for them. Had a huge lot full of 100 brand new tow trucks wall to wall payed for by the Sunday parking scam no doubt. I've lived in Orange my whole life and never have seen or heard of this company. Was told if it was LA, it would be 600. This company is bringing LA scams to Orange. If I ever need a tow, I am calling another tow company and you should too. Literally highway robbery. read more

rebecca helped me get my car back asap. very thankful for her kindess and the fast process.

Most pleasant tow yard experience I've ever had. Especially if you have to be here, you know it can be a headache, but when there's people that are actually nice, and trying to HELP, it makes the world of difference. Ryan was super friendly and helped me find my car and then jump the battery so I could take pictures for my insurance company. Gary gave me great and very helpful information to navigate what to do in my whole process. I walked into this situation dealing with messy drama and they helped me sort it out seamlessly. Thank you!! read more

My car got towed here in the night. I called and the lady on the phone was very rude, I had to call back to get the address & hours because of how fast she talked and hung up. Staff were not welcoming only one lady was truly helping me & then someone else took over. there was damage to my car in the front VERY noticeable and no staff mentioned anything about it. When i saw my car in the lot, it was there w/ a big ass square dent in the front with scratches as well. $400 to get my car back with damage read more

My car had been towed from a spot I wasn't supposed to be in, and I had many difficulties retrieving my paperwork to let it out, but the front desk was extremely patient and helpful and remembered my coming in and the situation. I had even forgotten my license there, and they kept it safe. Evelyn's customer service was highly appreciated due to her helpful insight, kindness, and excellent conversational skills. This was a bad situation on my part, but this place did all it could to make it less so. read more

the only reason for the 1 star is because we HAD to in order to leave this HORRIFIC review. my car was DAMAGED at the TOW YARD by CURTIS the driver admitted too doing so by the forklift at the yard.Upon bringing it up a rep attention they offered to "take care of it" (side job) or that i could be given a paper copy material to write down the occurrence of what happened which i did ask for but the advised to to pull to side. after an 1 hr and speaking to manager GARY NOTHING was resolved but $50 dollars after being disrespected by curtis, jr and gary AND left outside for over an hour having to call dispatch 4 times. I realize my car is not a brand new mercedes it's a older hoopty honda but that is NOT the point. they DMAAGED my vechile and distracted and LAUGHED in my face INCLUDING the MANAGER which JR AND CURTIS mentioned GARY (the manager) would do to me. read more

Such a scam place. I got my car towed and picked it up within maybe 30mins and got charged $425. Was parked in my apartment complex and with the heat here it must've peeled our parking permit from the window. It was still clearly visible and was funny because it was right under my work sticker and they apparently saw that one so they for sure saw my plain view apartment one that peeled off BECAUSE OF THE HEAT. I would somewhat(not really) get if it was flipped and couldn't see I'm from my apartment complex but when I went it was there in clear view. read more

While I was separating from the military my car broke down on the side of the road and was towed by CHP overnight. CHP took forever to tell me where my car was and by that time it was too late $700 removal fee for a broken car and I didn't have any money or time to with a broken vehicle, not too mention everyone I talked to CEO,Managers only showed care for the money. I was told there was nothing I could do. Now a year later debt collectors are hounding me to collect $9,700 in storage fees. So I'm in a worse situation with even more debt. read more

Southside Towing - My car - Towing Near Me - Orange, California

Southside Towing is a predatory tow company that towed me from a spot and damaged my car. The spot was not authorized by PD, was not in red, not in handicap...just a regular spot. This was a Sunday and they requested I pick up my car on Monday to save me money only to try to charge an extra day for storage. This company needs ethical standards and GM Gary Hernandez needs to drive a cab. Do I need to go into more details since all the other reviews are nightmares as well? read more

PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!!! Avoid this place at all costs. My brothers car was towed, after contacting the office to retrieve the vehicle the first encounter was alarming. The manager Hailey Carmona was extremely rude and combative not only that but also eating while speaking to me. After retrieving my vehicle this Hailey started to contact me from her personal phone. She has called 2 times on a Sunday and 7 times this on 01/31/24 within a 3 minute period and also contacted my apartments threatening me. I have had to take time from work to file a police report and file a restraining order against this person. Please proceed with caution as these people have access to your personal information and will use it to harass and threaten you!!! read more

This is not rating on the towing company but the towing personal that would not provide the information for the towing company for a family member to be able to go and pick our vehicle. The inside to that happened was because I witnessed my brothers car being towed. I asked the man that was towing the vehicle on 11/28/2024. I asked what the information of the towing company for my brother as our condominiums changed towing companies recently. The tow truck driver was insensitive and rude and responded with "And" I asked once again for the information and said it so quickly and didn't even give me a chance to get out my notes and write the information down. I asked once more as I wasn't able to hear the information and told me to walk over and read it off their truck. I wasn't trying to stop him from towing. But just being nice people this companies drivers suck as people. read more

Although the reason for our tow and the tow altogether was an unwanted surprise, I'm so grateful for the team who helped us. We had a complex situation, and Linda went above and beyond to help us efficiently resolve the issue to release the car, which helped us save money. Everyone was super understanding and so nice. Rebeca not only so kindly helped us with all the paperwork, she made sure we had assistance with a jump start, if we needed (we weren't sure if the battery was dead). Not my first time towed by them either, thanks to my HOA The last time was less complex but equally as smooth, and I just really appreciate the SS team, including the owner, for being so helpful each time. I have also been saved by Southside after a small accident on the freeway. They came in less than 15 minutes during rush hour and had me home safe and sound so quick. The driver was so nice and helped me calm down - I was pretty shaken by the accident. Grateful is an understatement! Wonderful service all around. If I could give them more stars, I would. read more

I had gone to the office right after this incident along with showing them the pictures and explaining everything that occurred, and the office had no idea this was occurring. We were driving on a rainy day and the car hit a big puddle on the road and lost control. The vehicle spun out of control, and ended up hitting the wall along several other cars that had also hit the wall. The police arrived and seeing that the car was not safe to drive, they asked if I needed a towing service. The officer informed me that the towing should be free and I didn't have to call my AAA, so the officer called the towing company on my behalf. When the towing company arrived, they told me that they could only tow my car to their towing location, and any other location would incur charges. Despite having AAA, the driver and the police informed the charges are covered. However, when they had my car at their location, they charged not only towing fees but also charged me a storage fee, even though I never asked for my car to be stored. I felt confused and frustrated and asked to speak to the manager. However, they lied about informing me of all the charges, which the driver never did. My insurance told me that they only cover the towing fee if they called the towing company on my behalf. The manager informed me that they're contracted with the police department so these fees are mandatory. Despite initially being told that the towing service would be free, the company added charges, leaving me feeling disappointed and let down. You never know when an accident might happen, and you rely on the honesty and transparency of others to help you through those tough times. In this case, it felt like the towing company was taking advantage of my situation and not treating me with the respect and transparency that I deserved. It's important to remember that in a tough world, honesty and integrity are still essential qualities to strive for. read more

We had a vehicle with a handicap placard up in a handicap parking spot. The business had the vehicle towed by this tow yard. We paid $570.00 to get the vehicle out after 1 hr in the yard. I tried to explain based on Code Section 22511.5 per the California state law there is no time limit in a public or private handicap spot for individuals. The girl was rude and not interested in the law of ADA. Unfortunately we have had to get local police involved and they are helping to recover the money based on an unauthorized tow. Unfortunately people who do not know Ca ADA codes work at these types of places. This could have been handled more professionally and avoided this situation. Please know the law before making assumptions and causing unnecessary issues. This should be ZERO stars. read more

I wonder how my review was removed as I too as a victim of their fraudulent activity. Unfortunately got them, they believe I will let this sit on a back burner like every other viticim. Little do they know, there is lawsuit pending including my time and level of distress partaken by their irresponsibility. They damaged my actual vehicle from the front end to try and rush the tow at 455am in order to rush their duties. Pictures, people all in witness including a video recording from a neighbors door. I've demanded pictures for before and after which, "Gary Hernandez" a "manager" would not comply. This is a circus ran by clowns with families cheating folks for a living. Please PM me if you ate victimized yourself as I've thus car collected 12 people and their data's to show proof of their fraudulent activities and shut them down. Another tow company that didn't want to help and instead hung up on us multiple times. I'm not sure what this company's deal was when all I did was reach out to cancel the service through the Apts app. After trying to reach out again to re-use their service instead, they just hang up and won't answer at all.
