The whole situation was very frustrating and overwhelming, especially during an already difficult time. EDIT: They blocked me on social media when I notified them that they've been ignoring us about our money. My father and I have just moved into a new apartment, and had a U-Haul parked behind the complex, out of the way, so we could unload our stuff. We made sure it wasn't blocking anyone, and it hadn't been out for long, but lo and behold, someone still called towing on us. Fine, it happens. Drivers for Southside have to let the property manager know and ask permission to tow. The driver conveniently didn't tell the manager it was a moving van that we were actively unloading. It takes a while as my father is physically disabled. The van gets hooked up while we're in the unit with boxes, and my father calls down to the driver to give him a moment to move the U-Haul somewhere better. The driver says yes. He rushes down with the keys, and by the time he gets there, the driver has already towed the van 30 or so feet down the alley, in the way of other residents. When my father starts complaining, saying he only took a few minutes to get down, the driver tells him he took too long. When my father says he is physically disabled and did the best he could while in pain, the driver repeats himself. My father tried to explain that we were actively in the middle of using the van to move, out of everyone's way, and that now he can't even move it somewhere else because the driver lied to him about giving him time to move it, as well as not telling our property manager that it was a U-Haul rented by a resident. The driver was condescending, telling him to calm down, and that he "understood" he was disabled and in pain from moving. My father yelled at this driver, but it was not an unprovoked situation. The driver said he was just doing his job, but our property manager told my father that she was not notified of the situation properly, or the tow would not have been permitted. In order to have Southside give us back the vehicle that they wrongfully towed because of a condescending and unempathetic driver, my father had to pay nearly $400. I want to let Southside Towing know that this was our month's grocery money. We do not have food this month and will need to look into alternatives like soup kitchens, or free pantries, or we'll not be able to eat. This is something the driver was told. Lastly, my father has repeatedly called this business to try and get it handled privately and civilly, but is being completely blown off and ignored. Zero response despite promises of callbacks. More lies I guess! Zero compassion, zero communication. What a business model. read more

I got home and Ubered to the Orange location which they gave me the address when they found my car. After spending $50 on Uber Southside towing said my car was in another city $50 Uber ride. I have a prosthetic leg and am permanently disabled. A worker from my apartment complex blocked my parking spot to work on the apartment building. I had groceries that I needed to drop off so I parked in front of my garage. My car was towed in less than 5 minutes of being parked there. The apartment worker told the tow truck driver I was dropping off groceries and the tow truck driver replied "I don't care ". I was charged $468. This is a shitty place! People work here doesn't have any sympathy. They towed my car , paid at the police station. When I come ; they won't release the car bc the car re registered under my moms name who is in hospital( brain bleed) and then I need the car to pick up my car at 7pm from LAX. . And with out my mom's signature won't work. So we got the signature paper they requested. They said my California ID won't work, need a driver license. So I have to wait like 2 hours in the cold for my dad to come while my son is waiting for me at the airport. What an ass ! And they charged $590 for about 5 hours storage here! $&@@$ BS they towed at CVS and I did purchase item there but parked more than one hour. My apartment complex towed my car to this place. Definitely a nightmare situation for anybody but I called ahead of time to get information. They are appointment only for their after hours but once i arrived they quickly opened the gate, no delay just call them and they will open up. Andrew helped me out and he did such a great job of being empathetic and understanding, not rude at all and it felt like we knew him. I checked my credit card statement and there were two fraudulent charges for a hotel booking and a spa, which is strange because I never lost my card. Noticed it just a few days after I picked up my car from here. They don't accept cash, they make you walk outside to your car to grab your registration as proof that you're the owner while they hold onto your card inside. I would report this business if I could. My car was wrongfully towed Tuesday April 16th from my friend apartment. We paid for the permit and everything Went to the tow place, the manager with the red hair was disgustingly rude as I kept informing her the tow wasn't valid. I had to drive to the apartments and talked to the manager and showed the apartments manager the same proof I showed the tow yard and the manager at the apartments said, and I quote, " IT WAS A WRONGFUL TOW" I went back to the yard and demanded they let me car go. She took her sweet time letting car go. I said the apartments call you right, and said it was a wrongful tow and she said it was a courtesy, to make herself feel better. My brand new Mercedes was SCRATCHED badly on the front driver side bumper. My matte bumper is damaged and it's $5800 to repaint I filed out a form and they said they would contact me within 72 hours, it's been past that. I'm suing. My car is matte and they scratched my car and refuse to take ownership. My car shouldn't have even been towed and they scratched my car badly. read more

This customer service rep we called on July 28th, 2025 at about 11:30pm was impossibly rude, cut us off, and spoke to us condescendingly (with a hint of enjoyment in her tone). She even tried to jab at us by snarking, "Are you mad?" She offered no valuable information on how to collect the car. So when we arrived, we waited 90 minutes, on top of that, and were lied to multiple times by many workers coming and going the entire night about who could help us. We didn't get our car until 1:30AM. The company also towed our car from our complex with no authorization - because it would never have been granted! They towed us from our own spot that we pay for. Completely unprofessional. Now mind you, I had my car towed once years ago when I parked in a parking lot I shouldn't have, and they were actually nice to deal with. These people were beyond impossible. I understand dealing with tow companies rarely get pleasant people, but this was beyond ridiculous. I called them and was immediately impressed by how friendly and professional the dispatcher was. Within 20 minutes, a tow truck arrived--faster than I expected! What a ripoff. This company is a scam. If you're reading this and you need a tow truck, I would highly recommend avoiding this tow scam company and call another company if you're in need. How profitable for them. Had a huge lot full of 100 brand new tow trucks wall to wall payed for by the Sunday parking scam no doubt. I've lived in Orange my whole life and never have seen or heard of this company. Was told if it was LA, it would be 600. This company is bringing LA scams to Orange.
