Very disappointed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My husband is a truck driver and his tractor broke down. The company hired Veterans Towing to tow the tractor back to the yard. Everything was fine until the tow truck driver hit our parked vehicle while he was backing up to drop the tractor. Come to find out the tow truck driver doesn't have the proper license to drive heavy duty commercial vehicles nor did he have insurance paperwork on him. He had to call another driver for it. That didn't help because it was expired as well. I filed a claim with my insurance company and was informed that the company hasn't responded. The DOT number on the truck shows as NOT ACTIVE. When you search up this company it is linked to another location in Anaheim. Same owners, same phone number but different CA and DOT numbers. I had 2 different Brea Towing Techs (thru AAA) come out in the morning. The first guy said he didn't have the wheel dolly to move the vehicle out of the garage. He called dispatch and requested a tech that had this supposedly. 1 hr passes and the 2nd Brea Towing Tech guy comes and did his song and dance and said they are not allowed to pull the vehicle out from the garage or driveway due to liabilities and the 1st guy should of told me then.... Veteran's Towing was hired to tow a van from my garage. Their truck had a transmission leak in the Courtyard of our Street which is owned by our HOA. The driver did come back a few hours to try to clean up the huge transmission fluid puddles that leaked into the pavers but was unsuccessful. When I tried to call the owner, His receptionist told me was was right there and when she told him that I was on the phone and what my call was about, he said "tell her I'm not here". I could hear him say that. Then I told her to tell him that I could hear him say that he said " Hang Up". I heard that too before she hung up on me. Now my homeowner's association is coming after me to pay for the replacement of the pavers. It had nothing to do with me other than a friend's van was being removed from my garage. Veterans Towing was a giant disappointment. After I requested towing, it took about 2.5 hours for the tow truck to arrive. This was fairly understandable because I've been towed before and know traffic in LA can really extend some of these wait times. The giant issue was when the tech filled out some paperwork, lowered his flat bed, and put a hook on my tow hitch, then proceeded to answer a phone call. He says its from the CHP and he's being requested. My car was then abandoned and he takes off. Next, I give Veterans Towing a call about the issue and requested another tow truck ASAP as I've been waiting for nearly 3 hours at this point. They said they'll do their best. After we explained our experience, he didn't assume to know what the "FCW" indicator on the dashboard meant. He professionally asked for the key fob and tried to start the car; the engine didn't stay on after it initially turned over. He put the car in neutral and prepared to back the car out of the shopping center space, since his truck was parked perpendicular to our car. Given the amount of morning traffic passing through the parking lot, Chris was more patient than I... and he pushed that car out effortlessly. He efficiently loaded up the Accord and secured it thoroughly. When I asked if I should follow him, he advised me to drive directly to the mechanic's. The distance was about 5 mi. away and during the incident report, the insurance call center representative confirmed that the expense would be covered. At the mechanic's garage, the driveway was starting to get crowded but Chris calmly awaited the manager to signal where to unload the car. He carefully did so, considering the limited about of space to maneuver. Then he used his smartphone to photograph the vehicle and assure the insurance company the car's condition, i.e. no body damage. Since it was the same week as Veterans' Day, I asked Chris if he previously served our country and which branch. I expressed appreciation for that as well as his help and work ethic today.
