Yaba Kitchen has a somewhat mundane outside appearance on US190 Business loop, in the Rouse's parking lot, but its tasteful, understated interior, welcoming service, and quality cuisine more than make up for it. The menu is Asian fusion focused, with many old favorites, as well as a number of innovative, contemporary offerings. There were an array of seafood combos and ramen dishes that sounded appealing, but today we stuck to the luncheon menu's chicken hibachi, that was served with an excellent complimentary side salad that boasted a really tasty ginger dressing. The chicken hibachi was especially flavorful, with excellent rice, and was generously portioned. Several desserts were featured that sounded great, but we were simply too full to try them. A waffle cone, ice cream Sunday creation sounded particularly amazing. If you're a fan of Asian fusion, you really should try Yaba Kitchen in Covington.

The Greyhound has always exhibited a polished ambiance, but I noted tonight that evening brings an enhanced air of elegance. It's really quite nice and very suitable for a special occasion or a date night. Service was excellent as always and I enjoyed their very crisp and tasty kale Caesar salad and an excellent French onion soup, accompanied by a nice white wine. Dinner at the Greyhound is supported by a full bar, a good wine list, a nice selection of specialty cocktails and a selection of sumptuous desserts. The Greyhound is high on my list of fine dining spots in Covington.

The food was fantastic and they offer many gluten free items or can be prepared gluten free if asked. Everything from the Oysters Pablo to the Foie Gras to the Fish Almondine and Steak was delicious. My son loved his Truffle Soft Shell Crab Pasta that he split with Grandma. The medium rare steak was cooked to perfection. All the sides were also so yummy. We started the evening with cocktails, appetizers, wine with the entrees, then more cocktails with dessert. The Creme Brulee with Berries was delicious. Others really liked the Bread Pudding. The Old Fashions, Dirty Martinis, Espresso Martinis, and wine were all great. They offer a great selection of wine by the bottle. I typically go here every year for my birthday and then we typically make it back another time or two throughout the year. I always get the pork chop, as you can tell from the photos I uploaded which are all from different visits. The menu here is always changing which can sometimes be a bad thing however, all the new items and different preparations of the main stays are always delicious. The only bad thing about a menu that changes is your favorite dish may not always be available. Luckily, at this place trying something new typically pays off. I have only gotten something other than pork chop once and it was a braised beef dish, which was great. My Wife typically gets a pasta dish which is always fantastic. We typically try a new app or two along with a salad. Their salads are always changing but the flavor combinations they come up with are awesome. We had a salad one time with Gorgonzola, apple, shallot, candied pecans and a vinaigrette that was one of the best salads we ever had. Their desserts also change and some of them are seasonal. One visit they had a pistachio cheesecake available, which was 10/10. Last year their seasonal sorbet was muscadine, also 10/10. Their wine selection is great and the service is always the best! Food critics typically say a restaurant that gets a 9 out of 10 or higher is worth more than an hour long wait or drive that is a few hours. This place hits that mark for my Wife and I.
