I wasn't expecting much but we ended up pleasantly surprised. The interior seems similar to other types of walk up counter local restaurants, dated but it works. The lady at the counter was helpful and nice. For the lunch time rush, they got food out pretty quickly and what we ordered was fresh and so good. The French bread was so soft. The fish was plentiful and flavorful. The red beans and rice was comforting and the hush puppies were good as well. We would absolutely return.

They have a kid's menu as well plus lots of ice cream treats. Having been away from the Deep South for far too long I stayed with my daily routine of eating seafood since there is nothing like the seafood from this metro area. I ordered the Shrimp Po-Boy Combo. The sandwich was great! I loved the French Bread too. The shrimp were delicious as were their fries. I couldn't leave without at least an ice cream cone. It was really piled high with creamy soft serve ice cream on a cake cone. Service was good throughout my stay. A lot of folks with kids coming in for ice cream too.

Baskin Robbins was the place for ice cream when I was growing up. Now there is a trend of fancy shmancy frozen yogurt shops and no one eats plain old ice cream anymore. Located in a strip mall next to Italian Pie, this location is great. The store is very clean, has ample tables and the workers are incredibly friendly.
