Snowballs ice is hard and there is not enough juice. The staff tries to charge you extra for more syrup when the snowball never had enough in the first place. Nachos chips are often stall while cheese is warm not hot. read more

The sour grape, extra juice, stuffed with ice cream is my absolute favorite. I literally crave this thing more often than I want to admit. The woman who is almost always there is so kind and genuine. Living in Houston you can only get snoballs a few places. I heard that New Orleans was the place to get them. I know this is Slidell but was told this was a cool spot. The lady who took our order was cool and when we asked which was sweeter between the Tigers blood and Tutti Frutti she gladly gave us jello shot size samples. I ordered the Watermelon/Pineapple in a kiddie size and the kiddie size is about 8oz! The ice is soft but I prefer it a bit softer but the flavor was on point. I would not recommend visiting this Bayou snowball stand. Unfortunately, the customer service experience was very disappointing, as the staff displayed unwelcoming attitudes throughout plenty of visits. Additionally, the snowballs are overpriced considering the quality provided. The cups are often only half-filled. In some cases, there's either hardly any syrup or so much that it overwhelms the small amount of ice included. Toppings are also given in very minimal amounts, even when requested. Also, they should call it a "chunks of ice ball", not a snow ball because it's chunks of ice in a cup that does not absorb the juice. So go on across town wit it. Delicious and refreshing! Lots of great flavors to choose from and 1/2 the group added ice cream in the middle. Syrup does not pool at the bottom; it sticks to the ice so the flavor never dries up like other places. Very inexpensive so we came back the following day again! Really enjoyed stopping here on the way back from Kenney's Seafood. They're on the same road so it's a convenient dessert spot. We got a cherry, pineapple, and peach snowball as well as a snickers twister. All but the peach were great. They were saturated with the flavoring and I confirmed the syrup doesn't contain high fructose corn syrup (which makes me very ill). My son didn't like the peach as much because he felt the sugar overpowered the flavor. Staff was friendly and patient as I asked questions due to my dietary restrictions. The medium size snowball are pretty big and only $2. They even have a drive through. They told me they don't take credit card but luckily we found cash enough to cover the bill. As a recent immigrant to Louisiana, I was introduced to the glory of snowballs in May. My first experience tasting a snowball was at this location in Slidell. I cannot stress how amazing it was. They have dozens of different flavors to choose from (I've tried about 6 so far) and adding condensed milk makes it nothing sort of heavenly. Even better are the prices: you can get a medium snowball with condensed milk (enough to put most people into a sugar coma) for only $3. They even have a drive-thru. The only negative is the location: parking is minimal and the drive through, if you go at a busy time, overflows into the street. read more

So many flavors and combinations, sugar free options (diabetics like snoballs too!), stuffing (cheesecake, ice cream), their soft serve ice cream is delicious. They are friendly AF, and patient when I'm indecisive about all the flavors they offer. A lot of students work there in the summer, and the owners give SO many props and much respect to their work.
