The strawberry was actually good bc it didn't have all the food coloring and you cam tell it's not commercial ice cream. The girl behind the counter was friendly and patient. There was nice booths in there, some really big for large parties...nice! The store was clean. They have HUGE waffle cones, if I wouldn't have just eaten, I would have gotten one Why did I give it a 3 star? When we satt down to eat our ice cream, we noticed all the pictures on the wall. Disappointed. Usually, this place is a nice stop for the kids and me, but Friday night, after seeing the staff member fully grab my ice cream cone without gloves and touching everything in sight,I'm completely turned off by these conditions in this place. She argued with me when I asked for a cone that wasn't touched by her ungloved hands. Like, seriously, you're going to fully touch the part of the cone I plan to feed to my kids and then when I point it out and ask for a new one, refuse to give me a new cone? Yep, how dissatisfactory. I mean, there's a napkin on the cone, but that clearly was for show since she didn't bother using that to hold the cone with her unsanitary hands. My kids were with me, so I didn't want to argue, let alone about sanitation with the employee, so I wound up paying for a cone my daughter couldn't eat. Perhaps some sanitation and basic customer service should be implemented since you are preparing food and touching food items people eat. read more

The ice cream was creamy, but I got the strawberry and it barely tasted like strawberries, was almost just vanilla ice cream. They were also out of several flavors as well as out of cones and the girl working was very short with us. read more

Sweet ice cream shop for a fun treat after school, passing through town or just because. We were passing through town and stopping in to tell our cousins bye. They were out of the creole cream cheese .... Which we MUST COME BACK TO TRY.... But most everything else we had our eye on was available. Local flavor, sweet environment, and some fun product make this a must stop when in Covington. Since it is located on Colombia St there are many shops to walk and window shop as you enjoy this cool treat! Next time we visit hopefully the creole cream cheese will be available and we will also get some of that yummy vanilla sugar! read more

A new but much-needed addition to the local food scene, this ice cream parlor offers a nice mix of regular and rotating flavors. I eschewed their regular mint chocolate flavor and instead went for mint chocolate with green tea. This sounded ridiculous, but an assurance that the tea flavor wasn't overwhelming (usually green tea ice cream is pretty strong) and a sample spoon convinced me otherwise. I also got a bananas foster flavor, and the carmelized banana pieces within complemented the flavor infusion into the cream itself. The ice cream was a hard texture, and perhaps not quite as smooth and creamy as I'd like, but I was quite happy that they offered both classic and experimental flavors (as well as some dairy-free), and have a nice location with sizable booths to eat inside or a small town neighborhood to walk around with your ice cream. read more

We came here late in the evening after a long day. The ice cream here is decent, but nothing to write home about. The cones are fresh made and tasty. The ice cream is on the fatty side and it's very creamy. The environment is spacious. The tables are extremely sticky and messy though. It was okay. I tried the peach bourbon habanero which was a fun try. It wasn't really flavorful honestly like not much of a peach or bourbon flavor to my disappointment but an interesting experience and nice texture. My friend got the blueberry pie special which was a bit icey but enjoyed the freshly made waffle cone. The standard flavors they have are limited and seem normal/boring but we liked the interesting special offerings. We weren't really compelled to revisit but I appreciate a local ice cream shop in downtown Covington area. I personally thought it was a bit overpriced and wished you could actually see all the flavors in their tubs but they're covered by metal coverings but all in all it was a fun try. read more

Very cute local farm to table ice cream place (the photo of one of their dairy cows is in a fake window inside). The ice cream flavors are classic and simple, and they taste great-- not too sweet! The best way to describe is that it tastes...real. And the waffle cones are made on the spot, which is always great. There is really incredible carnival-style art on the walls for decoration and sale sponsored by the Saladino gallery just down the street. Really great local business!! read more

I've heard so many great things about this little local ice cream shop, and even seeing the other many great reviews, I assumed that I'd be blown away.. but unfortunately it was the complete opposite. The flavors were okay, actually pretty good.. but I could not get past the texture. It was more of a milky slushy consistency, I personally prefer creamy, silky ice cream. This just didn't do it for me. I also was really uncomfortable with the way they hide the ice cream underneath metal lids, it's part of the experience for me to be able to see everything easily. read more

Went here for mid afternoon ice cream on a warm sunny afternoon with a coworker. Immediately, the smell of dairy encompassed us, which is a good sign for an ice cream place. I ordered the coffee ice cream, which I got in waffle cone that I could see them making behind the counter with legitimate waffle irons.
