ew. All the tables were dirty and I mean all of them. I would normally just wipe it off but the stains were so caked in, they wouldn't budge with an ordinary napkin. The employees were literally just standing around doing nothing even when there was a line of customers waiting to order. Mine was staffed with two teenage girls who looked dead behind the eyes. And then they had the audacity to ask for a tip at the register. Girl, I had to wave you down from whatever trance you were in. Told you twice what I wanted and you still got it wrong the first time. I am not giving you a tip for that bum service. Honestly I don't blame them. They're probably underpaid kids, this is a managerial issue. Two employees behind the counter, not one cleaning. Some weird 30 year old guy eating his takeout on one of the tables inside. Normally I don't care about bringing outside food in but when there's an outside area, bro take it outside. As for the ice cream, it's baskin robbins. You'd have better luck just going to the rouses next door and getting a couple pints of bluebell. It'll cost you about the same. I've visited this location on several occasions and yesterday, May 26, 2024 had to be the worst experience EVER! I purchased one of their ice cream birthday cakes for my son and it was beyond disgusting! The ice cream, mint chocolate chip, had NO flavor, and the cake portion was so old and tasteless that I had to share my experience. When I called to ask about switching out the cake pictured, I was told to come back at 6 PM when Colleen was working! The lady that answered the phone told me, "I don't know how much Colleen, the store manager, can do, but you can always call our corporate office!" I was speechless, as I've never experienced such a horrible response to a simple situation?! What I experienced should be considered a crime. 2 employees were vaping right ontop of the ice cream in eyes view. I was absolutely disgusted by this dastardly behavior, but I kept my composure, since I had traveled 15 minutes for some ice cream. Not only this, but they were using their phones while attempting to take my order, almost getting it wrong the first time. Out of the 3 questions I asked, 2 were left unanswered and the 3rd was left with a snarky comment. Baskin Robbins was the place for ice cream when I was growing up. Now there is a trend of fancy shmancy frozen yogurt shops and no one eats plain old ice cream anymore. Located in a strip mall next to Italian Pie, this location is great. The store is very clean, has ample tables and the workers are incredibly friendly. I would imagine it is difficult to stay friendly with the onslaught of kids, but they do a great job. For the kids they have clown cones which are upside down cones with a clown face made from icing. These are a big hit. If you get one for your kid, make sure and get a cup as they can be messy. They also have ice cream cakes, which are significantly better than any regular cake. If you get one filled with german chocolate cake ice cream, let me know and I will buy you a gift for a piece. If you like ice cream, come here. read more

We were excited to grab some ice cream on the way home, drove past this location and decided to turn around after looking up the hours and seeing that they were opened til 9pm. Pulled into the parking lot at 8:03. Plenty of time to grab a cone and be gone by 8:15 only to have the doors locked in front of us as we were getting out of the car. I called the location and a staff member answered, she was nice enough to unlock the door to let my friend (who is a few months postpartum) use the restroom. But still refused to sell us ice cream, which is fine. We were told that "we're students and have to leave to get an assignment done". As someone who bartended my way through college, I fully understand what it's like to have to work and complete school assignments. I am just curious if the owner is aware that their employees are turning away paying customers an hour before the establishment is meant to close, simply to accommodate their lack of preparation in their school or personal life... read more

Terrible customer service! Got there at 950p people cleaning and such waited patiently to place order while guy with manbun stood with his backed turned to us. When he finally turned around to take order he said," come on really, it's 7 min to closing" after I requested a shake. We promptly gathered our kids and walked out. I walked back in and asked for the owner who actually witnessed the whole thing apparently but yet didn't intervene!!!! As we all know, Baskin Robbins has been producing delicious ice cream since the mid 1950's. This is not a complaint on the quality of ice cream, but the quality of the business aspect with the focus on the Mandeville, Louisiana location. The last two times I have visited has been during the evening hours. The first occasion went like so-- I walked into the store and there were only two people working. I asked the young man if he was new and with a nervous smile he replied "kind of" The lady however was much older and had airpod pros in her ear as the line was building. I immediately observed her negative behavior and how she dealt with the young man who was new there. She was very rude with the door dash lady and continued to work with a negative behavior. She explained to me that she was the manager and started complaining about people not wanting to work. The second occurrence I walked in and the place was even more packed, but this time it was only two people working as well. Only two high school students who did a fantastic job under pressure, but definitely could have used help. No manager in sight as well as the only bathroom in the establishment that had a sign on the door saying "EMPLOYEES ONLY BATHROOM" A disrespectful move in my opinion to customers. The customer service at this location is rotten. Our niece took one lick of her ice cream and it fell on the floor. This can happen with younger children, but the problem in this case was that the server did not pack the ice cream in the cone even a little bit. They did NOT offer to get her a new one and instead told us it was management policy that they were not liable for ice cream once it left their hands. I spoke with the asst. manager and she rectified the situation, but only after enduring a long lecture about how they were losing money and it was our fault. Their were 7 people in our party and I can't imagine they lost any money over a single kid scoop, but they'll lose plenty in future sales. We will never eat here again! read more

This BR is absolutely horrible. Ordered a cake online and have the receipt to prove what I ordered. It so wasn't what I ordered. When I cut the cake it was the wrong kind (white instead of chocolate). Ice cream was vanilla instead of cookies and cream. After I cut into it and saw it was wrong, I called BR, all she could tell me was come in and they would make me another one. Not... First of all, I am not driving 20 minutes to get another cake. Secondly, I am not leaving a birthday party where I had guests to go back there. We made due with what we had, but the birthday boy was disappointed. I suggested a refund, and was told no. I suggested a BR gift card and was told no. So, all they would do is offer me a replacement cake but I would have to drive 20 minutes and leave my guests at my party to go there for a mistake they made. I been to this location through the years with no problems but in the last couple of months this location sucks. They are closing the doors early before the posted time and it seems that the owner does not care. I know the employees do not care. Last Thursday night we ( 8 people) went there to get ice cream but again they were closed early so we went to SONIC spent our money there. A beggar is as a king, and a king - a beggar. No one, despite their crocs or stained Guy Harvey t-shirt, will be denied entry. Through thick and thin, there will always be a man there clad in Baskin Robins attire as well as a messy man bun. He is one of the few things in this world that I believe will truly remain constant, unlike the dew on the morning grass or the ice sheet on your car windshield on a brisk winter's morn. The array of bright colours dances in your eyes as the multiple flavours of ice cream will on your tongue. I truly must say that the complex, yet simple beauty of Baskin Robins is on my mind not only while I am awake, but in my dreams as well.
