I ordered a Patron Margarita to start and and for the entree I tried the Turkey chops yellow rice, mac n cheese and an extra side of greens. The food looked and smelled amazing and was HOT! Jordan was our server and he took great care of us. For dessert I tried the peach cobbler (not shown) which was so good. Heads up they definitely add gratuity on the check. The service was friendly and professional, be patient with waitresses and waiters do don't make the rules because i don't like vodka and wanted my Georgia peach made with tequila at first Miss Selena refused to do it that way because she stated they don't alter their drinks but i insisted as always because hey i'm a customer and they finally agreed. A group of 10 of us dined here on a Saturday evening. The Good: our waitress Erin was phenomenal...very patient with our large party, attentive, and very nice to us. The drinks were on point too, namely the flavored lemon drop martinis and margaritas. I think most of us enjoyed our food, so that's a plus. Now, the bad...the prices...my Martini was $24!!! Like, huh?? Ok...then, the clientele. I'll admit, when I first drove up, I was like ummm...folks looked like characters straight out of BAPS. I prefer the Gen X professional crowds. The first and last time, periodt! First and foremost the logistics of even getting in the resturant is ridiculous. There is NO reservation system, so you will be outside literally waiting ( if it wasn't for my daughter requesting to go here for her birthday I would have left). Waited 1.5 hours only to be served sub standard food. I get the feeling like this place wanna be exclusive and high end BUT....... they serve condiments in plastic containers, tables and seating arrangement is weird we were placed right by another party on a bench, there is only ONE bathroom to sevice ALL patrons, AND they don't even make their own dressings ( it's all bottled, not even name brand)! I really had a nice time until the end. The food was good, the ambience was nice, and I enjoyed myself until it was time to pay. Our tabs had 18% gratuity added which is totally fine. Our server then gave us a speech about how the tip doesn't go directly to her, they have to split it. Basically encouraging us to tip more than what we were already charged. I added $1 to bring it to 20% because I typically tip 20%. She then asked me if I really meant to add $1. Yes. I didn't have to do that. I won't be pressured to tip extra to compensate for your employer's tipping structure. If tip share isn't your thing, you may want to find a different place of employment. This makes your customers uncomfortable, and I hate that others can feel pressured to tip more at a place where the check is already high. My Brother and I went on a Monday both of us military so we have a high ratio of being patient but this was something else. When we got there we waited about 10/15 mins to be seated. No problem. After 6 mins our server came over and asked what we wanted to drink and we got water it was so hot and an alcohol beverage, 5 mins go by then our water comes, lukewarm, no ice, the cup wasn't even col. 8 mins go by and she come get our food order and our drinks. Mine was WARM, I'm not drinking no warm liquor. We order food and wait 45 mins. During those 45 mins our server did not check on us, check for refills or nothing. We paid for our drinks and left. The waiter kelp saying it was busy which we totally understand but for this type of field you have to be active and consistent. We didn't get that. I use to be a server for yearsss and that wasn't it, that 18% gratuity added to each check is not displayed anywhere but it's in your total lol. Cooked to perfection. I ordered the lobster pasta add grilled shrimp with a side of honey cornbread and collard greens. Only thing bad I have to say about the two was the amount of stems in the greens. Greens are cooked in Glory Greens juice. Nice taste just hard to enjoy with the stems. Lobster pasta was bomb! I loved the atmosphere it was very relaxing and cool. The wait wasn't too long because we made reservations. The food on the other hand id say was a 6/10. I got the lamb chops, Mac n cheese, and yams. The lamb chops I believe were good just not my taste, I don't care for sweet meat, but I was also my first time trying lamb chops so alone I'd give those 2/10. The Mac was ok, I give it a 5/10 it was kinda dry and definitely not how the ads look. The yams were actually my fav even tho they are canned it's was pretty good 8/10. Overall it was good music, very good atmosphere as well. I also must say that restaurants who add gratuity to every check, the waitresses don't put in enough effort because they are getting paid regardless, so I feel it takes away from the customer service you get. Our waitress only came to take our order and bring food, we only saw her twice. It doesn't say kids aren't welcome but they don't accommodate kids, meaning no booster seats, no child cups, no kids menu. My daughter and I decided to check out this establishment because of how good it looked on instagram. The manager was super unprofessional, showed no professionalism at all. When I placed my order I explained to her that I preferred my chicken extra well and very crispy. She reassured me that they would be just that. i pay for both meals, she tell me it'll be 30 mins, I come back for after 30 mins, top flight security stop me at the door, tell me the manager said no one can enter at the moment, so we wait outside 10-15 mins, finally he lets us back in. I reply "your security said that you said no one could enter" she say "it's still hot (with attitude) check the chicken plate and my chicken is soggy and flabby like I told her I didn't like. She refused to give me a refund bc she said i touched it, took the plate ton the back. came back with it after 5 mins and said it's crispy now, go ahead and check it. I said "u sure I can touch it" she said "yea" still flabby. She give me my refund with more attitude and I just paid for the fish plate for daughter. Fish was cooked Nice, but needed more flavor. I was in a party of 4 and we went on a Friday night. There was a wait time of 45 minutes. The ladies at the hostess stand were hilarious! They made the wait not seem as long. Once inside the restaurant there was a really good laid back vibe. It is small on the inside so you have to be ok with sitting close to your neighboring patrons. I want to start off with the cocktails. The drinks were potent!!! My favorite was "Fire and Desire"; yes...Rick and Teena made an appearance! Lol! My short ribs were flavorful and so tender they just came apart with a fork. Then I tasted the lamb chops and was immediately upset I didn't order them myself. They were hands down the best lamb chops I ever had (but I'll never tell my mom that). Our waitress was amazing. I went to this establishment and was treated horribly by the Owner's mother. This woman will be the demise of this establishment. Her behavior and respect that she has for their customer base is harrowing. My friends and I attended this restaurant and made a reservation online. Our reservation time came and we waited less than ten minutes to be seated. I arrived early and was able to sit at the bar and order a drink prior to their arrival. Once they arrived we were told that they could stand near me at the bar. There was a possible bottleneck that could occur so I gave my seat to a friend and I moved to a corner. At the same time, this spiteful woman begins yelling at us to move, I politely said to her that your team let them stand here, she says I don't care what they said you can't stand here with this force as if I "slept with her man" I snapped back saying if you have an issue what is happening that's a conversation you need to have with your staff and not give that energy to the customer. As she is yelling at me the security jumps in an immediately apologizes for her antagonistic ways as she yells "You'll be alright!!!" The nerve of this impudent woman. I will NEVER return to this establishment again, but I will say the host Nya and Security gentlemen should be managing this establishment. Their accountability, professionalism, and empathy shown to me and my guest is textbook Customer Service 101. That woman is horrible.
