(Was cooked earlier and stored then they microwaved it. My wife ordered grilled shrimp, sweet potatoes and green beans. The sweet potatoes were too sweet- she couldn't eat them. The green beans were soggy. There's no way this food is cooked fresh and it's certainly NOT worth the money. This was one of the worse experiences I have had. Sunday night with a 2 hour wait for a table, we were able to walk right in and sit at the bar for full menu service. Bartender was a sweetie pie, very attentive, had nice conversation and handled her multiple parties well. We were able to watch the game while we enjoyed our drinks (they were so good... and effective!) and dinner. Fried chicken, greens and Mac n cheese; catfish, green beans, Mac n cheese; cornbread. This was our first visit to the Buckhead location. The food was amazing!!! I had the loaded brisket potato with the mac n cheese and my friend had the fried lobster tail. No complaints at all!!! We also ordered drinks from the bar and they did not disappoint! The only complaint we have is the automatic gratuity. Our server was ok but she was not attentive enough to receive a $21 tip. I understand that you want your servers to be compensated but what if they are rude or they don't do an overall good job??? Are the patrons allowed to reduce the tip?? Just left from a visit to Atlanta and had to give a review about my visit to Southern Fire kitchen! It was a great experience from the time we got to the door until we left! The security guard and greeter were really nice upon arrival, greeting us and holding the door open. Our waiter was helpful with recommendations and very attentive! Everypne there was really nice! The food was really flavorful! The fish was super crispy/crunchy, similar to the crunch you get with fried chiken, but wasn't dry. The sides were a solid choice with the honey cornbread adding extra points. I'm a cheesey Mac girl but would get both the Mac and greens again! I was told the lamb chops were really good and the sauce on them was delicious! This is definitely the spot for good southern food and a fire playlist! I will be revisiting soon. read more

After 3 different visits, this is my final sentiment. Amazing food. The ambience is 5/10....the shopping mall plaza kills the vibe for me. Extra long wait times, even when ordering to go. Came for my birthday for the first time and wont be back. We made reservations which they did seat us quickly but it took FOREVER for our food to come out. I noticed that it was so many other tables without food as well. No free refills on drinks. My lemon drop was weak. They brought out our food and they messed up my boyfriend order(he asked for salmon in his pasta and they put shrimp) he ended up just eating it because it would have took FOREVER to make a new plate. I visited Atlanta this past weekend from Dallas, Texas. We wanted soul food, yams, greens, smothered turkey wings the works and your restaurant was recommended to us. The 1st thing I noticed was your staff they were awesome. They were friendly and very very accommodating. The food was ok and very pricy. I've never paid $33 for a portion of a turkey wing, I paid this for the flat of the wing. Normally for this amount I would get a whole wing. I also wanted lamb chops ala cart. When I got my bill I was charged $64 for 4 lamb chops. Another surprise was the drinks not being refillable. I understand the flavored teas not being refillable but not the sweet or unsweetened teas. We literally had to take sips of our drinks while we waited on the meal. This was an experience that will not be repeated. Our server then gave us a speech about how the tip doesn't go directly to her, they have to split it. Basically encouraging us to tip more than what we were already charged. I added $1 to bring it to 20% because I typically tip 20%. She then asked me if I really meant to add $1. Yes. I didn't have to do that. I won't be pressured to tip extra to compensate for your employer's tipping structure. If tip share isn't your thing, you may want to find a different place of employment. This makes your customers uncomfortable, and I hate that others can feel pressured to tip more at a place where the check is already high.
