I've had better Thai. My noodles were a little soupy. The wings were ok.

Got hungry on the highway and stopped for a quick bite to eat. It was easy to find, but definitely quite a haul off of the interstates. We had little difficulty finding parking, but know that you will need to parallel park on the street as there is no lot. The menu had a lot of variety and service was speedy. However, it was very expensive, and quite overpriced for the quality and atmosphere. It felt and looked like a casual diner, but a (Saturday) lunch entree cost $15+. When our server offered to "just have them cut up a spring roll on your salad," neither us expected that we'd pay $3.50 each for one spring roll - especially when an appetizer-size order of 4 spring rolls cost only $5 total. I left the restaurant baffled that I had been charged $4 tea, $4 for a spring roll, $15 for a noodle bowl, and a total of $50 for lunch for two, with no drinks. read more

Food is EXCELLENT, but this is a small restaurant and they just were not staffed to accommodate a full house on a Saturday night. It took us some time to be seated and once seated it took long to place order and long to receive food. We had salt/pepper tofu, shrimp bok choy, summer rolls, spring rolls, dumplings, soup and every item was very fresh, beautifully displayed, and delicious. Fantastic Southeast Asian food. I've had several dishes from here and each has been perfectly satisfying. The proportions are generous, allowing for great leftovers. The price for the quality and quantity of food you get is superb. Recently they've gotten a new chef and she is a great addition - the menu items haven't changed much (I'm sure there will be more soon) but she had updated the existing menu in a wonderful way. I've been here several times and it is always delicious! Best thai food in the area, with great service and generous portions. The green curry and drunken noodles are my favourite... but have also had several special curries and they are awesome. Everything is fresh, aromatic, and the level of spice is perfect. This is such a great place and the food is amazing. We learnt the chef is from Laos and she opened the restaurant with her brother-in-law. We got the pho with beef slices, brisket, balls and tripe, the steamed post buns, the curry chicken and beef with green pumpkin. All of it was amazing and we could taste the Laotian and Cambodian flavors. This place is definitely a must try in Delaware. read more

I live and work in Wilmington, and often get tired of the same old stuff that's around (pizza, subs or tavern food) when seeking a lunch option. Southeast Kitchen is something different and delicious. Only recently have I started to branch out of my comfort zone with food. Upon ordering I kept it safe and ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Crispy spring roll. When I told the staff member that I didn't really know much about Thai food, she told me that if I like it enough that next time I should try their Pho. We randomly chose this for dinner tonight not only because we were already very hungry but also because one of us was feeling depressed.. And boy this place definitely lifts up your mood not only by providing you good number of options in the menu like Spicy Shrimp Coconut ,Pad Khing, Regular Red/Green/Yellow curry but indeed you will be taken well care of by very happy staff all singing jovially everybody's all time favorite Hotel California . . I'm giving 1 Star since Yelp doesn't allow me to give a 0 star rating. I had the worst customer service experience in a long time. The worst part is, I order take out from here often but never dined in. I called to make a reservation and the young lady on the other end said, "They don't take reservations and stop taking customers at 7:30pm, because they close at 8pm." We walked in at 7:23pm and was told they weren't taking any more customers. They not only denied us, but the customers that arrived before us. She said, "We only have 2 people in the kitchen!" And then walked away rudely. I'm not sure why it's my problem, because you choose to be under staffed on a holiday. I can't believe me and my family were treated this way on Mothers Day of all days! I won't ever be back or ordering take from here again. I will take my money elsewhere. I have never been impressed with this restaurant on any visit. The menus are out of date, the tables usually haven't been cleaned, and the service is slow. The food is bland and could use some more spice. I have tried a few different dishes on the menu and have never had luck. It is a shame that this place doesn't have better quality. There aren't many good Thai places in Wilmington, and this is one of them. read more

Kitchen dumplings are divine. I love dumplings, so to find some that are quite so tasty was really a treat. I also had a bowl of pho. Nice flavor in the soup, but it wasn't anything to write home about - pretty standard fare. The food was fast, service was good, and I'd stop in again. read more

Good thai food. I like the pad thai and my friends love the pho. Budget friendly and quick. The hot wings are flavorful even with the ghost pepper. They also have a hot pot that I've been waiting to try. My one criticism is that they tend to use cheaper cuts of chicken in their dishes like the mango chicken and the thai version of chicken noodle soup. The noodle pot with chicken is delicious because of the marinade. They have huge portions, so you can even split a dish. The staff is friendly and they obviously care a lot about creating rapport with customers. read more

Southeast Kitchen is a great blend of South East Asian food and if one loves such food they will not be disappointed. The place is comfy and relaxed! My colleagues had discovered it a few weeks ago and were sold on a particular dish called Salt Pepper Tofu which never failed to disappoint us. I love SEK and their food, but they don't answer their phone. Half the time I call I get a busy signal, and sometimes (like tonight) it rings and rings. Eventually someone answered but they immediately hung up or it got disconnected. Called back with no answer! If they're too busy to take more orders, that's fine -- but do your customers the courtesy of telling them that. read more

Southeast Kitchen has become one of our go-to spots for takeout. It is a welcome change to the standard fare (Italian/Bar food) of Trolley Square. My first order, the Veggie Pad Thai, was a miss. It was very dry like it was missing something. Since then, I've stuck with the Tofu Drunken Noodles and occasional curry and have never been disappointed. My husband is a fan of their Chicken Pad Thai. Sometimes, their service over the phone leaves a little to be desired, but the order is always ready in a timely manner. read more
