Squid Bun (Thin Rice Noodle)

I don't like too much spice so I really like how you can choose your spice level. I have had the chicken pad thai with 0 spice and I loved it. I also tried the vermicelli noodles with squid (pictured below) and it was really fresh! No spiciness in this dish either.

Great food. Very poor service. Only the one guy we interacted with but did this place a disservice. We loved our food though. Fried dumplings looked extra crispy but they had this soft pillow texture that blew me away.

Starting off with aromatic delicious appetizers. Left grilled squid. Right spring rolls. Loved them both! Hats off to the chef!

This hidden gem in Wilmington is a must visit. The food is thoughtfully arranged, selected, and presented. As an extra bonus this place is a BYOB and the service is superb! Our waitress not only recommended wines to compliment our meal but directed us to the nearest location available purchase them (all within a 1 minute walking distance of the restaurant). My charming date brought a bottle of Courvoisier for us to enjoy the meal but this place has a wine and beer license only. Bring one or the other to pair with your meal and you will not be disappointed. We ended up having Cabernet Sauvignon with our Spicy coconut shrimp and flank steak pho. A perfect pairing! Glad we took the advise of the waitress who was very knowledgeable on the available options. The atmosphere is casual not too shabby but it is a bit chic. Come as you are one and all. This food was so good I felt like it was prepped just for me. Parking wasn't too bad at least for the time of day we were there. Noon on a Saturday with plenty of on street parking. We applaud the chef for his attention to detail and delicious food.

unfortunately finding decent restaurants in Wilmington is a challenge within itself. so when I heard of Southeast kitchen a few weeks ago I was eager to try it. My first time at South East kitchen was pleasurable so I decided to return for a second time. I shouldn't have done that. Tonight I had the drunken noodle and beef lot na. The noodles in both entrées were so over cooked that my noodles did not taste like noodles. instead the noodles tasted like pure mush, like blended egg noodle that had been left in the pot for too long and started to disintegrate in its own oils. but that's not even the best part. When I called the restaurant to express my concern, I was connected to the "boss"I him know the noodles were overcooked and did not have that texture of firm noodles. The boss then challenged me and told me that I was wrong. The fact that I was willing to get back in my car drive this disgusting and subpar food BACK to the restaurant to exchange it for something better should tell you enough about my overall dissatisfaction. As a restauranteur if you are unable to except critique on the food that you are putting out there and your reputation you should probably take heed to what your customers are saying. Off the boss's energy alone I will not be returning to Southeast Kitchen. please see pictures And judge for yourself. You've been warned.

I've had better Thai. My noodles were a little soupy. The wings were ok.

The noodles were over cooked so it was really mushy. I would not recommend this spot.

Awesome, get the bahn mi for a quick lunch sandwich, or the yellow curry chicken if you're hungry. Prices are very reasonable

We rolled in with a full-on family entourage: my brother (don't let his Caucasian-ness fool you, he can handle the heat), my vegetarian little sister and her hubby, my middle sister (preparing for upcoming gallbladder surgery), my diabetic mom, and my teenage daughter, and me. Basically a menu stress test. And every single dish was a hit. Pan fried pork dumplings and crab rangoons were perfectly crispy, tofu spring rolls came with an addictive dipping sauce, pad kaprow (not a typo), crave-worthy pad Thai, and rich and flavorful chicken and red curry. The vegetarians were very happy too, which is always the true measure of success. The staff? Incredibly friendly and attentive without hovering. The vibe? Open, well-decorated, and absolutely a great date-night spot -- but just as perfect for a lively family dinner like ours. We'll be headed back soon!

The food was very affordable, with lots of options to choose from. Overall great experience

But once you're inside, you realize this mother-and-daughter team is serving some of the most authentic Thai food you'll find anywhere in Delaware. We ordered a little bit of everything--starting with the satay and soup, both of which were warm, flavorful, and clearly homemade. The satay came perfectly grilled with a peanut sauce that could have been a meal on its own. The soup was the kind of comfort you don't expect to find unless someone's cooking for you at home. The Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao were both outstanding, each with its own distinct balance of sweetness, spice, and texture. You could tell nothing came out of a jar--the flavors were bright, clean, and layered. The red curry, rich and aromatic, had that perfect slow-building heat that keeps you reaching for more jasmine rice. And speaking of rice--it was cooked just right, fragrant and fluffy, the quiet star that pulled everything together. What makes Bangkok House truly special isn't just the food, though. It's the feeling you get while you're there. The care that goes into each dish, the relaxed, no-frills setting, and the pride this family takes in their craft all come through in every bite. My daughter, who goes to college nearby, swears it's the most authentic Thai food in Delaware--and after this meal, I believe her. If you're anywhere near Newark, skip the big-name places and come here instead. It's a small spot with a big heart, and it's the kind of meal you'll still be thinking about long after you've left.

Ambience is nice: it's tastefully decorated, not over the top. We had made a reservation and were promptly seated. It was moderately busy, but not packed. Service and food were both excellent. Our server was accurate and attentive. My husband and I started with the Steamed Dumplings, which were tasty. We enjoyed our main dishes -- Drunken Noodle (with beef) for him and Spicy House Noodles (with shrimp) for me. He said it's in his "top 2" best drunken noodles he's had. Everything was hot and perfectly seasoned; good portions. My friend had ordered a "sizzling" dish that did not come out sizzling, but he enjoyed it nonetheless; he and his wife had no other complaints. We all got dessert. I ordered the Mango & Sticky Rice, which was amazing -- definitely in my "top 2"! Restrooms were clean and functional. We all agreed we would dine here again. If you find yourself in the Kennett area craving delicious Thai food, I recommend checking this place out. You won't be disappointed!

For appetizers, we got the egg roll and chive pancakes. I would say to skip the egg roll. In my opinion, the wrapper was way too thick and hard rather than thin and crispy. The filling tasted just ok. Instead, I would get just the chive pancake. It's fragrant, herbaceous, light, and pleasantly chewy and bouncy. For my pad Thai entree with tofu, it was decent. The portion size is a little smaller than what I am typically used to from other Thai restaurants but I was still full. I got a 3/5 and it wasn't spicy to be. It was savory, had a strong fish sauce base, and good! I would get this if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way.
