I have not really explored Thai food that much so when I walked up to the line to order I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to get. The lady taking orders helped me figure it out in a snap. I wanted shrimp. She said fried or spicy? I wanted noodles. She said lo mein or mei fun? And last we topped it off with veggies. I wound up with a very nice dish of thin noodles, spicy shrimp, broccoli, cabbage and bell peppers. I was very, very happy with my dish. The shrimp were cleaned, gigantic plus, a good size and they were plentiful. The veggies were fresh and the portion was perfect.

Ordered Pad Thai chicken but they added shrimp

They put shrimp in my food after I told them I'm allergic. Didn't notice until I got home and ate some of it. Lady was rude and never apologize for her mistake which could have been deadly.

So fun watching the guy cook these!!! Potstickers, dumplings, gyozas, whatever they were called!

Love this place! We don't get out to the Christiana Mall very often, but when we do, we usually end up having lunch at Ruby Thai. The Thai grilled chicken platter is so good. And the potstickers or whatever they call them there are really good - it was fun watching the guy fry them up as we waited. My husband tried the soup last time and wasn't too impressed with it, but he can be picky and it takes an awful lot to impress him. The service is very good there - their assembly line runs like a well-oiled machine. Overall, a great place!

Blackened fish was very fresh and delicious. Food looked fresher than most mall Chinese food vendors. Very large portions. Well worth my7.55!

The bang bang chicken is always on point. We usually always get this with rice. I haven't tried anything else on their menu, because this is always our go to. Best Asian food at the mall food court!

Tried this place from you Yelpers reviews and Not Disappointed at all. Order the Pad Thai with Chicken and Shrimp. Awesome flavors with Spicy and Sweet explosion. Large Portion and lots of meat that made the styrofoam box Bend when I carry it. Also get the Plantains! Large portion for $3 Highly Recommended but have long lines because the food is made Fresh in yo Face!

Ruby Thai is located inside the mall. I was hungry and not sure what to eat. One of the staff was handing out samples so I went up to try. I really liked the sample which was bang bang chicken. I got the bang bang chicken with noodles and fried rice. The line was not too bad but moved along quick.

Not sure how this place only has 3 stars. By far best pad thai in town. Chicken is tender and nothing is too sweet. Huge portions.

Sure it's thai in a mall but it's really pretty darn good. I got a noodle bowl that blew away any foodcourt food I'd ever gotten.

Very Pleasantly Surprised!…read more Cold rainy night and wanted some pho or Thai soup and I got much more than I Bargained for. I see this spot in a parking lot and looked up the reviews and thought I would give it a try. It wasn't busy and was near closing but the waitstaff was very pleasant, inviting and submitted order and food came out piping hot and it did not disappoint. I started Tom Yum soup and it was very flavorful and nice portion - I recommend the large for the price and take how the leftovers if there is any. I then had massama lm curry, and KaProw And they both had really great flavor - decent portion size not large but not small medium. I had a Thai Ice T, a bit on the sweet side for me, but it was decent. Overall really enjoyed the place and look forward to going back and trying a couple of other dishes.

Paneng curry has peanuts in it. Never see that ever! Mixing with other fillers that shouldn't be in Paneng. Papaya salad is the only decent dish for me. Looking from outside, I would turn around and out real fast. Going inside, it could be worse, I guess.

Ambience is nice: it's tastefully decorated, not over the top. We had made a reservation and were promptly seated. It was moderately busy, but not packed. Service and food were both excellent. Our server was accurate and attentive. My husband and I started with the Steamed Dumplings, which were tasty. We enjoyed our main dishes -- Drunken Noodle (with beef) for him and Spicy House Noodles (with shrimp) for me. He said it's in his "top 2" best drunken noodles he's had. Everything was hot and perfectly seasoned; good portions. My friend had ordered a "sizzling" dish that did not come out sizzling, but he enjoyed it nonetheless; he and his wife had no other complaints. We all got dessert. I ordered the Mango & Sticky Rice, which was amazing -- definitely in my "top 2"! Restrooms were clean and functional. We all agreed we would dine here again. For appetizers, we got the egg roll and chive pancakes. I would say to skip the egg roll. In my opinion, the wrapper was way too thick and hard rather than thin and crispy. The filling tasted just ok. Instead, I would get just the chive pancake. It's fragrant, herbaceous, light, and pleasantly chewy and bouncy. For my pad Thai entree with tofu, it was decent. The portion size is a little smaller than what I am typically used to from other Thai restaurants but I was still full. I got a 3/5 and it wasn't spicy to be. It was savory, had a strong fish sauce base, and good! I would get this if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way.

We were all starving :) My vegan friend was craving pho so she got the vegetable pho (we double checked that it is made with vegetarian stock since it did not say this on the menu and it was!). My other friend got this spicy chicken stir fry (forgot the name). I got my usual pad sew ew but subbed with shrimp. I also got a thai ice tea to go with my meal. The food came out fairly fast and we chowed down. The pad sew ew noodles had great flavor and cooked perfectly. It came with a lot of Chinese broccoli and carrots. The only disappointing thing is that I only got 4 shrimp :/ they were good but would have liked to see more especially since it costs $3 more to sub with shrimp. Either way the portions are a good size. My friends both enjoyed their meals immensely. We all had a good time hanging out and eating. The Thai ice tea was also very good :) Def. would come back and try some other dishes one day! A great place for lunch.

But once you're inside, you realize this mother-and-daughter team is serving some of the most authentic Thai food you'll find anywhere in Delaware. We ordered a little bit of everything--starting with the satay and soup, both of which were warm, flavorful, and clearly homemade. The satay came perfectly grilled with a peanut sauce that could have been a meal on its own. The soup was the kind of comfort you don't expect to find unless someone's cooking for you at home. The Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao were both outstanding, each with its own distinct balance of sweetness, spice, and texture. You could tell nothing came out of a jar--the flavors were bright, clean, and layered. The red curry, rich and aromatic, had that perfect slow-building heat that keeps you reaching for more jasmine rice. And speaking of rice--it was cooked just right, fragrant and fluffy, the quiet star that pulled everything together. What makes Bangkok House truly special isn't just the food, though. It's the feeling you get while you're there. The care that goes into each dish, the relaxed, no-frills setting, and the pride this family takes in their craft all come through in every bite. My daughter, who goes to college nearby, swears it's the most authentic Thai food in Delaware--and after this meal, I believe her. If you're anywhere near Newark, skip the big-name places and come here instead. It's a small spot with a big heart, and it's the kind of meal you'll still be thinking about long after you've left.
