Been back 100x times since my last review and the lines are just as long. But I think they may have finally figured it out. You now order when you are within a football field of the food so you can see the menu - possibly. The food is consistent and portions are huge for the price. I have not really explored Thai food that much so when I walked up to the line to order I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to get. The lady taking orders helped me figure it out in a snap. I wanted shrimp. She said fried or spicy? I wanted noodles. She said lo mein or mei fun? And last we topped it off with veggies. I wound up with a very nice dish of thin noodles, spicy shrimp, broccoli, cabbage and bell peppers. I was very, very happy with my dish. Judging by the lines when you enter the food court I guessed this restaurant's food must be good and I must say their Thai Spicy Shrimp is delicious, plus the fresh vegetables that come with it are definitely worth a try. Love this place! We don't get out to the Christiana Mall very often, but when we do, we usually end up having lunch at Ruby Thai. The Thai grilled chicken platter is so good. And the potstickers or whatever they call them there are really good - it was fun watching the guy fry them up as we waited. My husband tried the soup last time and wasn't too impressed with it, but he can be picky and it takes an awful lot to impress him. The service is very good there - their assembly line runs like a well-oiled machine. Overall, a great place! read more

Ruby thai is the best you're gonna get at the Christiana Mall. The line may be long, but that's because the people on line are willing to wait for quality food. I was really craving Thai food that day I was shopping and didn't feel like eating from any stall, but my company wanted a quick bite, and we settled on food court food. I saw the line at Ruby Thai was shorter than usual, and jumped at the opportunity to try it out. I ordered the shrimp pad thai, and realized I was third in line for my order, fyi, every individual's pad thai is freshly made from scratch, so I probably waited a good 15 minutes before I got my food. For $6.95, they packed enough food for 2 people, and I probably counted 10+ shrimp in my pad thai. These were not small little shrimp, but a decent size. And I could not believe this was what I was really getting for $6.95. Alas, I couldn't finish the entire box and actually felt reluctant to thrown it away. This place also has typical American Chinese food and that does not require as much of a wait. But I highly recommend their pad thai. read more

Ruby Thai is located inside the mall. I was hungry and not sure what to eat. One of the staff was handing out samples so I went up to try. I really liked the sample which was bang bang chicken. I got the bang bang chicken with noodles and fried rice. The line was not too bad but moved along quick. read more

My kid accidentally broke the foam plate they have us and they were asking money for it? Absolutely crazy.. Never heard of this from any restaurant in Delaware. The plates are going through different hands before it reaches us and then it's going through a minimum of two hands. They are spreading germs and then asking money for a plate which my 2 year old accidentally broke. Should have seen their faces when my kid broke the plate... The food is nothing Thai.. I am an Asian and most if the items do not have any Asian touch to it, except the names and the items. I saw two people leaving for another Restaurent seeing their rude behavior towards me... There's nothing Thai about the food here! It's more like standard mall food court Chinese food. That aside, portions are big enough to be satisfying and you can get the food pretty fast since it's all ready on steam trays. Just don't go there expecting authentic Thai food and you'll be fine. read more

We just left from the place. It wasn't crowded, the pace was slow, however the woman kept rushing my elderly father in his options. Mind you, constantly asking over and over and not letting him process doesn't help, and when he and I tried multiple times to convey to the woman that she put too much noodles, she sighed loudly, took out (I kid you not) 4 individual noodles, and slammed the kitchen tool down. At this point, I was ready to cancel both of our orders just for her unnecessary rudeness and temper. We're CHOOSING to come here, it's not mandatory. In the past, my parents have said the one woman has had an attitude, but this is my first time experiencing it. I will not have any family members return, nor any friends. I've been to this place many of times and the service is always fast. I've never waiting more than 5 minutes in line, and today was no different. Of course, I usually end up going to mall mostly on the weekdays after 2 PM to return things instead of coming on the busy Saturdays. Now, the reason why I gave this place 2 stars was not because of the wait time nor the mediocre food. The reason why I gave this place such a low rating was because of the service I received today. There were a few people ahead of me and I had placed my Styrofoam box on the glass overhead to be filled. I usually watch the woman that fills the boxes closely to make sure that my box doesn't get mistaken for another (silly, I know). She filled up the man ahead of me's box with the rice and chicken he had requested. For my box, she only filled mine with noodles and passed it down to the cashier. Uhh, what? I call out to her to tell her that she did not put any chicken (that I requested) into my box. She said something quickly and I was only able to catch the word "fresh" (btw, I only asked for noodles and the bang bang chicken, which is assembled right there instead of freshly cooked). Still confused, I look at the people behind me and see her filling their boxes with rice/noodles and chicken! Once the cashier gets to my box, I asked her (((nicely))) if I was going to get the bang bang chicken I asked for. She just told me my total and took my card with out acknowledging my question. At this point, I'm just ???? because I'm not sure what the f was going on. Finally, the other woman (that was filling the boxes before) grabbed my box, slammed it with a bunch of bang bang chicken and threw it in a bag. Please note that between the time I had gotten in line and when I have reached the cashier (still without chicken in my styrofoam box), the bang bang chicken tray was NOT refilled with fresh chicken and my box clearly has 4N on it (number four, which is the bang bang chicken, with noodles). Now, I might've just been losing my mind but I have no idea why she waited until the last minute to give me my chicken after I brought it up twice! I was thinking that I might've dreamed it, but when I got home... I knew it wasn't a dream. As I ate the food, I just knew this was real life and this happened. So, that is why I gave this place 2 stars. Would've gave it 1 if the chicken was cold. read more

Thanks to this very irresponsible restaurant, i had meat for the first time in my life! I ordered their tofu and realized it had few pieces of meat in it. When confronted, the staff seemed to care very little, and tried to say, "it happens cuz the dishes are all next to each other".
