    Nutella Bowl
    Andy Y.

A great place with many options of acai bowls and smoothies. The bowls were filled fully with fresh fruit along with a balanced variety of flavorful ingredients. The acai base was tasty with hints of tart and chocolate notes. The staff was very friendly and the bowls were prepared perfectly to our requests. The ambiance is pretty relaxing with several indoor and outdoor seating options. Parking can be a little hectic as it is shared within the surrounding businesses. Nonetheless, a great experience and will most definitely be back for more! Enjoy!

First time trying south block & i will admit that the pictures on other reviews had me question whether the portions were good enough but the smoothie proved to be filling. I really liked the interiors appearance. The mural on the wall adds a nice touch to the inside. I was greeted by the staff before it was my turn to order which is appreciated, plus I didn't have to wait too long for my smoothie. I ordered the Health Nut smoothie which had a subtle, natural sweet flavor to it. I'll definitely be coming back to try their açaí bowls and other food options.

Always love south block. Everything tasted so fresh and healthy no matter what bowl you get. I tried out different items on the menu and everything tasted great with almond butter and cacao nibs! My bowls are always full, I never finish one at one sitting and they taste great after the next day!

Cave Monkey Smoothie with whey isolate protein

Came here to pick up a protein shake. I got the cave monkey with whey protein. The shake has 20g of protein. You have a choice of whey, plant protein, or collagen for your protein 20g option. The cost for a 24 ounce protein smoothie was about 11 dollars. Not bad for a gourmet protein shake in my opinion! Staff was friendly and checked on protein ingredients for me :)

We loved this location. Service is amazing and they make the best açaís bowls in the world. The atmosphere is nice, everything is clean and also fruit look fresh We will come back there for sure

Even when using the Kiosk, I'm always greeted when I walk through the door. I'm happy they have a rewards program. The consistency of each bowl each time is great. they make sure your food is good and they take the time to make it look presentable. parking can be tight. best to park in the lot next to the small shops and walk over.

This is the absolute best smoothie bowl spot in Northern Virginia! I've been coming here for years now and it's always my go-to spot for an acai bowl or smoothie! This time I ordered one of their seasonal bowls, the Aloha Bowl. It was acai topped with pineapple, strawberries, coconut, and my absolute favorite, their homemade granola. Their granola never disappoints! It's always the perfect addition to any of their smoothie bowls, adding a subtle sweet crunch on top. The service was super fast! They have the option to order either online, on a kiosk, or with a person. Since I wanted to substitute an ingredient in the acai, I just ordered with the person, and they were easily able to do that for me at no extra charge. The only downside to the experience is the parking. The store's located in a busy spot with a few others stores and a small parking lot in front so it's pretty difficult to find a parking spot nearby. But it's not their fault it's always poppin! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking to cool off from a hot summer day! Even if you're not in Vienna, luckily there are a few other locations scattered throughout the Northern Virginia area for you to go to!

So what it's been freezing the past couple of weeks. Today it's 40 degrees - a veritable heat wave!!! Time for a healthy mid-afternoon snack while running errands. This is my first visit to this store since it left Jammin' Java, and I have to say, I like it so much more. This feels cleaner and fresher, a place where I want to get an açaí bowl, vs. Jammin'' Java's "I want to emo scream at the depressing but somewhat cool black and grey walls" decor. Chances are I'll be drawn to visit this place more.

This is my go-to when I'm craving an acai bowl, they are so tasty and you have different options to choose from. You can also add chia seeds and honey for free.

Only been to this location twice since they moved buildings but I've loved coming here. Smoothies and bowls are just as good as anywhere else. Today was my first day coming in "early" and I was greeted maybe more enthusiastically than usual which was a great way to start my day besides getting my favorite bowl. Service 10/10 very quick and friendly. Ambiance is very nice (imo) some seating and pretty light but relaxed feeling.

The main issue was that there seemed to be a leak from the ceiling; they had the seating area sectioned off, but it reeked of mildew/old dishrag, which was pretty gross and unpleasant, especially if you're trying to enjoy a bite and a drink. Personally just prefer the drinks here, and the customer service is also really good. If you're someone who likes boba or coffee after dinner, I'd highly suggest this place as they have everything from regular coffee/espresso drinks to unique kinds of lattes, and my personal favorite, the Adeni Chai latte. Also there's different types of cakes/desserts that go together perfectly with your drink. Highly suggest the basbousa if you are trying something -- it's perfectly light, yummy, but not too sweet. While it's not super huge, it's still a good size and I often see people in here studying or families gathering to have tea. The ambiance is very welcoming. So overall, I have to rate it as a great cafe. We will obviously be back.

The Lotus Tres Leches cake was a great companion to the coffee, not too sweet. I've also tried the Honey comb cake, and the honey cake, which are not bad at all! I also love how spacious this location is. There's a front and back seating area with the coffee bar in the middle, lots of seats, and the shop is nicely decorated. There's plenty of parking, but it can get tricky during peak hours since it's in a strip mall with lots of restaurants and other shops. I've been looking for a strawberry matcha that has a creamy rich texture, with the perfect ratio of strawberry and matcha. I do appreciate the fact that they use real strawberry puree, but it didn't taste balanced to me. My husband got the mocha forest matcha, it was alright. I wasn't a huge fan of either drinks. I also felt the matcha wasn't ceremonial grade. It had that weird Starbucks fishy taste to it. We ordered breakfast as well- the breakfast indeed tasted homemade but not the kind that wowed me. More like okay wonder bread and some protein. Nothing that stood out or tasted unique. I left wishing I had spent the money elsewhere. Overall, I don't live close to this location so I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but if invited I wouldn't be opposed. It's a tiny spot with few seats and a shared small parking lot.
