Let me tell you I left that place feeling like a new person. Doing this review months later so cannot remember the name of the staff that did my massage but it sure you will have a positive experience with anyone there. The massage was relaxing yet deep enough to take care of my concerns. Clean and great staff. Cannot say it was cheap but definitely worth what you pay for. I will definitely go back when I'm in the area again.

I am used to enjoying Thai massages--here in the US and in Thailand. When I lived in Los Angeles, I…read morewould typically treat myself to one at least once a month. You can imagine how over the moon I was to find this place in lil' Rhody. Thai massages are dry massages and involve a lot of gentle stretching and some acupressure. I typically leave energized and not sleepy. The massage quality is at par with what one would expect for this modality. I have no complaints here. The only setback is the service rate. This place, perhaps due to lack of competition, is pricey. This has prevented me from coming regularly. That said, if you've never had a Thai massage before and are curious about what makes it different--while not planning to visit Thailand soon, or any other state where there are more spas offering this service--then do visit Thai Tranquility Bodywork. It's worth being familiar with Thai massage, and this place does a good job.

It became so bad a couple weeks ago that I decided I would give a massage a shot to see if it would help. I've only had one massage in my life and that was at a resort in Mexico so I had no idea where to go here in RI. After a lot of research and review reading I found Still Point. I really loved the fact that Michaela goes the extra step for her clients and uploads videos to her web site with insight into stretching and extending the life of your massage. So I decided to pull the trigger on Still Point Massage. Much to my delight Michaela had an evening appointment available that night which I didn't waste any time booking. As others have written, the atmosphere Michaela has created is absolutely serene. She made me feel right at home and totally comfortable right from our introduction. Michaela takes the time to ask about your discomforts and really gets to know you which I loved. It made the whole experience feel much more personal and much less "business owner/client." Michaela explains everything she is doing throughout the massage and makes sure you are 100% comfortable for the duration. The massage itself was amazing and Michaela is without a doubt the real deal. She has been in the field for a long time and it shows. My shoulders and neck instantly felt 10x better (along with the rest of my body) and continue to now, two weeks after my visit to Still Point! As a first time client going for one of my first ever massages, I really had no idea what to expect, but Michaela has made herself a new regular client! I have no reason to look elsewhere... I cannot wait to get back on that table! Thanks Michaela, and thank you for all the helpful advice! See you soon!

I googled and the only appointment available was at 4:30 and so i was able to make the appointment on the app. Jake from Blackstone Massage Therapy called me around 2 pm and asked if I wanted to come in to the office sooner that he had a 3:30 and I agreed. Jake used a combination of techniques on me utilizing various sports stretches, hands on deep tissue massage, used cupping in which I can say i was unaccustomed to, and even got in using a massage gun. I can say I was definitely in less pain and felt much better after. Jake was very professional and evaluated my pain level throughout my massage and after discussed follow up and aftercare. Highly recommend Jake and will be a return customer my next trip to Providence.

I have such a "love-hate" relationship with Spalight. When they first opened, this place was an…read moreabsolute dream--meticulously clean, welcoming, and my go-to spot to totally reset. Unfortunately, the facility has hit a bit of a decline lately. What used to be impeccably dry, clean floors are now prone to dust and hairballs, and it's gotten so wet in the wet sauna areas that they've just started putting out "caution" signs instead of actually keeping it dry. I've seen quite a few people slip. Even the "unlimited" towel perk has been downgraded to a strict two-towel limit, and the food portions and quality have shrunk exponentially compared to the cost they charge it at. That being said, there is one major saving grace: the Korean auntie who does the body scrubs. She is an absolute legend and deserves a massive raise for everything she puts up with! She's the main reason the experience still feels somewhat authentic and worth driving to. The rooms are also on the smaller side, so if you go during peak hours, it's definitely more "crowded" than "calm." Honestly, the only reason I still make the trip is that it's the only K-spa within a reasonable driving distance from Boston. If there were more local options, I'd probably skip the decline here and head straight to NJ or NYC for a higher-quality experience. It's still a decent option if you're desperate for a scrub and a soak without the four-hour drive, but I really miss the high standards they had at the beginning.
