It's like Souplantation/Sweet Tomato with an Asian twist! We went around the time they opened, ~11AM ish. My family and I used to go to Souplantation a lot growing up so finding this place then tasting the food here was so much better! Coming in, you notice the grander entryway lobby area filled with a wall of flowers - very chic. Going to your right is the entrance into the buffet. You pay here before you go in to eat. They ask party size, ages of any kid(s), what type of drinks you want then the host takes you to your seat. Kids pricing is 1.5 their age.. so if you have a kid that's 5yr old.. price is 1.5x5. The staff are very attentive and come by every so often to clear tables and to ask how things are. Very good service. Other than that the vibe is typical buffet style. They have lots of options from Romain lettuce to spinach to Japchae to squid salads, tofu salads, kimchi, jello, mandarin salad, Caesar salad, arugula.. their hot sections have coconut shrimp, beef, white rice, fried rice, roasted mushrooms, potatoes, sweet potatoes, different kinds of pizza and garlic bread. Their options are extensive but not too extensive you cant choose what to get.. Soup options include: hot n sour, clam chowder, tom yum, chicken noodle, egg drop, and beef veggie soups. Desserts they have coffee cakes, jello- lychee and strawberry Gelato, fruits (watermelon, peach, pineapples, mandarin orange), and ube ice cream and vanilla ice cream. Both can be swirled if you like they are soft serve from a machine. Overall a very pleasant experience with mid-variety of food options.

This is not your typical Asian buffet. I checked this new buffet out for the first time with my friend recently. SoupGreen is by the same owners of SoupLeaf hotpot, which I actually didn't like. You can read my review of that... I normally avoid Asian buffets because I went to a lot growing up and equated them to cheap, low-quality fried food. But the food here is actually really good! And don't let the name fool you-they have more than just soups and salads! Not only can you customize your greens, they also have fish, pasta, pizza, meats, etc. The Korean japchae and kimchi looked strange-I didn't try those. The service is what you would expect for Asian buffets-none. We sat down and we didn't see our server. There was someone who walked by and we asked if he was our server. Apparently he was. Anyway, you just go up and get your food. Everything is self serve. We didn't have our water cups refilled at all. But you don't have to worry about tips because you pay before you enter the buffet area anyway. Save room for ube ice cream! This had strong ube flavor and was perfectly sweet. I left here so full. If you take food to go, it's priced by weight. It's worth the reasonable $20 pp and I will definitely come back! There's a parking lot.

SoupGreen really exceeded my expectations! Especially for the price point, I was expecting your typical cheap buffet, but everything was so fresh. Their salad bar is really extensive and again, all of the ingredients seem super fresh. They don't have too many hot food/protein items, but what they did have was really good. You would think sitting under the heat lamps would dry everything out. But the fish was super tender and the chicken was pretty juicy and flavorful. From what I've seen in pictures, it looks like they swap out different pastas, so I guess it depends on when you go. And I love that they have baked potatoes and sweet potatoes and a topping bar. I was sadly too full by the time I got around to getting one, so I wasn't able to try it, but it looked so good. I think the soups are a bit on the saltier side, but still pretty decent. And their desserts were tasty too. I was a big fan of their mini croissants, I definitely visited that station more than once. And the ube ice cream has a pretty strong ube flavor.

We've been absolutely impressed with SoupGreens (fka Mama Lin's) since their opening and very much enjoyed every single dinner meal that we've eaten there. Prices are very reasonable for an AYCE, options for pickings are abundant, fresh and delicious and you are in control of all the things you put on your plate, what more can you want? With their pricing, drinks are included, the parking situation is wonderful and I'm always impressed with the helpful and friendly staff who are on top of clearing our table of dishes and refilling drinks. The interior decor is also absolutely breathtaking and lovely, and dare I say, even more upscale and lovely than their Soupleaf dim interior vibes? I love that they're extremely family friendly and love everything about SoupGreens! So excited they're so close to my home and happy to support a local Asian business with solid food choices!

Soup Green is another restaurant from the Soup Leaf family, so I came in with pretty high expectations! I actually really like the concept, and I've now been here twice hoping I'd enjoy it more the second time around. Unfortunately, I left feeling a little underwhelmed both times. It's not that the food is bad at all--in fact, you can tell the ingredients are really fresh and high quality. They also have a few standout dishes, and I especially loved the mini croissants! That being said, I found myself kind of walking around the buffet and picking at different foods without there being enough dishes that I was genuinely excited to go back for. I think it would be really nice if they rotated the menu more often or added a few more options because I wanted more variety throughout the meal. One thing I did really appreciate was the service. The servers were all incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful, which definitely made for a pleasant experience. As for the price, I wouldn't necessarily say it's cheap or expensive, but I did leave feeling like it was a little pricey for what you're getting. Since most of the buffet consists of salads, vegetables, and lighter dishes, it didn't quite feel like the value matched the price. Overall, I think Soup Green is a nice option if you're looking for a healthier buffet with fresh ingredients, but I personally don't know that I'd go out of my way to come back. The concept is great, the ingredients are fresh, and the service is wonderful--I just wish there were a few more standout dishes and a little more variety to make the experience feel more worth the price!

The food is good. They have a great variety of soups and salads, some with an Asian twist. I tried a tid-bit of many items. The standouts: * Panko-fried fish. They were crispy, light, fluffy, and juicy morsels. * Hot and sour soup. It had the right balance of heat (spice), sour, consistency, and textures with mushrooms, bamboo, and egg. * Fried rice. Light, slightly aromatic, and well balanced. * Jap chae. Though it did not include many of the usual ingredients (principally egg and/or other protein), it was perfectly seasoned and the texture was spot on. * Mini croissants. These were delicious. A hint of sweetness and perfect flaky crusts. Each bite was perfect. * Ube ice cream. Should be Ube Ice Scream! The flavor is so subtle, but it is delicious. It's a new favorite for me. All-in-all, the variety was great. They had some unexpected offerings such as the seafood pizza that looked amazing (though I did not try because I kept forgetting), clam chowder, terriyaki salmon, pot roast (I believe). I didn't try the more usual offerings such as their general salad bar. But given the lines, I imagine they're good. I think the price and their service and the atmosphere are on-point. I usually only ever serve myself two plates, sampling only a few things, plus a small dessert. I think I'll have to return to try some of their many other offerings I didn't check out. I think it is at least worth a try, and for a salad and soup buffet, I expect it will sate many of your herbivore needs. We will definitely be returning and including it in our rotation for AYCE when we just can't settle on a single thing. Why only 4*? The place was clean, well-appointed decor-wise, and the food was good. But I did deduct a star because it was so busy that the kitchen had trouble keeping up with demand for their soups, pizzas, and protein offerings. I'm sure this is something they'll address as the business matures and understands the appetites of its patrons better.

Delicious food and great customer service! Every employee I've interacted with here has been extremely nice and helpful. The place is decorated in an absolutely stunning way. From the entrance to the buffet, it has a luxurious feel. The food was really good and there were so many options. There is definitely something for everyone in this buffet. I particularly loved the cocktail shrimp and the Tom Yum soup.

Advertised as a buffet, but it's pretty much only soup and salad. The only hot entrees were one kind of baked fish, chicken wings, and thinly cut broiled chicken strips. There werevery few cooked veggies: mushrooms, squash, baked potatoes. Bakery is thawed tiny little cakes in 4 varieties with colorful glaze that are high in color but bland in taste. They did have some hot mini muffins. There is also a frozen soft-serve machine dairy dessert masquerading as ice cream. American food was only Mac and cheese and a couple of pizzas that were under a heat lamp. The same ones were there when we left. No noodles at all, but white and fried rice. Lots of soups. Lots of veggies for the salad. That's about it. If you want all the soup and salad you can eat, then this is the place to go. If you think you're paying $16.84 for a luncheon Chinese buffet, you will be disappointed.

The Austin Asian community's most anticipated restaurant opening this summer isn't actually an Asian restaurant but they're the same owners and people behind the delicious Soupleaf. What makes Mama Lin's interesting is that it's filling a gap Austin has needed for a long time for a healthy option. A soup or salad! It leans towards the American classics but with Asian tocuhes. The salad ranges from Mandarin salads and classic Caesars. Then there was kimchi, squid salad, Sichuan chicken and japchae. The soup selection includes tomato egg soup, hot and sour soup, clam chowder, cream of mushroom, chicken noodle, and curry lentils. The croissants were one of the biggest surprises for us Flaky, airy, and this is absolutely where they gonna get you

Loved this buffet! The staff is nice, you get seated and a server takes your drink order. After that you can wander to the buffet. Many MANY soups like the egg, miso, clam chowder, cheddar broccoli. very large salad condiments and pasta. There is also chocolate and vanilla icecream and cakes. Pasta and bread bar. The bread is 10/10 loved the croissants and blueberry bread. Whether with a big party, one other person or by yourself the space is accommodating as the seating arrangements are made for different party sizes making it comfortable No wait time, not absolutely packed and made for very nice visit

Great find in Austin, Texas. This reminds me of Sweet Tomatoes with a twist. They have nice different options like teriyaki salmon, shrimp, even pot roast. Their croissants and pizza are great. The selection on soups are delicious like the tom yum and even the porridge. The price is decent includes the drinks. The service is also good. Highly recommended if you are in north austin area.
