Definitely more of a Thai fusion spot instead of an authentic Thai food spot but so good!…read more For appetizers we got the chicken satay and the pork jerky. The chicken satay was to be expected nothing special but it was good, the pork jerky was phenomenal I've never had it before and really enjoyed it! The mains we got pad see ewe beef and the nutty chicken. Both were delicious and had good flavor! I will say that the spice levels here are pretty mild we got medium spicy but it was more like a between mild and medium spicy so if you like spice definitely ask for it! Portion sizes are pretty good here, the two of us had leftovers to take home! Thai tea presentation is super cute and unique! Flavor wise it's nothing special but presentation wise it's super cute w the popsicle and everything! Service was pretty fast we came in on a Saturday and only had to wait maybe 15 min for a table? We ordered everything at once and it all came really fast (ie: before we were even halfway through the appetizers the main entrees showed up). Waiters were overall pretty nice and did check on us a few times. Nice casual ambiance. Music choice is kind of interesting they were playing kpop when we were there. Overall I could see this being a great place to meetup w friends, maybe a cute place for a date given how cute the Thai tea presentation is. There is a small parking lot which is surprising for this area of Long Beach but take note that on the weekend it might be full! Otherwise there's street parking in the surrounding area.

The eggplant is cubed and stir fried which gives it a dense, thick texture. The tofu is perfectly crispy. Whatever sauce used is slightly sweet with tons of umami flavor. It's exceptionally good and it's the kind of dish that doesn't need any sort of meat. Ten. I also very much loved the spicy pad Thai ($16.95). We added the colossal prawns for like $7.00. The pad Thai was phenomenal - al dente noodles with just the right amount of spice, but the prawns were just a great additional to an already good dish. Come to Kin for a solid Thai food experience.

This place has been on my list for a while, so when I was in the area, we finally gave it a try!…read moreThe food did not disappoint, but unfortunately, I'm giving it 3 stars due to the slow and disorganized service we experienced on a Sunday afternoon. We came as a party of 6 after the Long Beach Marathon, and it seemed like they were understaffed. My friend mentioned that she had received better service on a previous visit, so hopefully this was just an off day. Still, there were quite a few things that could have been handled better. They only gave us one set of banchan, which I thought was insufficient for a party of 6, especially since several of the dishes we ordered also came with banchan. We had to ask for water, and we finished our initial sides pretty quickly while waiting for our food. When we asked for refills, we had to follow up twice. One of the female servers came across as unfriendly and made us feel like we were bothering her when we asked for more banchan. She didn't even stop or look at us when she responded, "Give me a minute." The male server was friendlier, but overall, the service remained slow, even when we were trying to get our bill and check out. There were also some order mix-ups. We were served the wrong dishes twice, and my friend specifically requested no onions, but that was overlooked as well. Between the long wait, missed requests, and lack of attentiveness, the experience felt pretty disorganized. FOOD: - Rib Eye Bulgogi: came with rice and banchan. The presentation was pretty cool, with the meat served on a bed of salt that was lit on fire! It helped keep the food warm, although it did make moving the meat around a little tricky. The bulgogi itself was very tender and flavorful, and we really enjoyed it. - Pork Belly Tofu Soup: good, but I wish it had more tofu. Either there wasn't enough, or it had broken down into smaller pieces, because I was hoping for more substantial chunks. - Rose Tteokbokki: creamy and delicious; but it's definitely a dish meant for sharing Overall, we were satisfied with the food, and I thought the portions were fairly priced. Unfortunately, the slow, disorganized, and occasionally unfriendly service took away from the experience and makes me feel a little hesitant to return.

When eating their curry I ordered for delivery, I bit down onto something hard, I honestly thought I cracked my tooth. I took it out of my mouth and it looked like a large piece of gravel or a small rock. I have no idea how that would've even gotten in there. I called the restaurant to inform them and the person I spoke with on the phone just didn't really seem like they believed anything I was saying even though I offered to send them a photo like five times. He took down my number and they said that the owner would reach out but it's been days and nobody has. I was honestly hoping that they would make something like this right I mean it's not like it was a hair or a bug, which is still gross but, it was like something that genuinely could have damaged my teeth. Safe to say I'm beyond disappointed. I would come here multiple times a month. Finding a new place to go to is going to suck but after this experience and the lack of care from the staff I just can't :/

We have full kitchens in all the rooms where we're staying along with plates and all the set ups. The rooms even have dishwashers! So, I found this S T Noodle Bar near by and decided to give it a try. I kinda know what there guys like to eat, so I just ordered a bunch of food. The only request from anybody was for Pad Thai, the most common dish at all Thai restaurants. I GPS my way over and order the food. I was Khao Soy on the menu and I don't see that at too many Thai places that I've been to, so I got an order of that with chicken. Of course, an order of Pad Thai, 2 orders since I have 5 hungry people to feed. Also, I ordered the Thai coconut soup, I think it's called Tom Kha with chicken. One more noodles dish was the Drunken Noodles, it's kinda like Chinese Chow Fun, but has a more spicy flavor and basil in it. The food was all pack and bagged for me to take back to the hotel. We used my room since I have a bigger room. We had plates and set ups for all five of us and we re-plated the food on the serving plates that came with the room. All the food was really tasty and everybody was happy not to have to leave the hotel. I heard compliments on the Pad Thai and the Coconut soup. It was a good idea just to do take out and eat at the hotel here.

Anyway, now about 3 months ago... we were here around lunchtime on a Saturday, cause we were in the area, and hadn't tried it yet. Service was great with one weight hiccup. We sat down and had water in front of us and our order taken basically immediately. Ordered a pad se ew, khao soi ($16 each for the entrees), and a large Thai tea ($7) to share. The pad ke mow and the Thai tea came out basically immediately. We'd already drunk all our water and had someone come back out to refill it, when the khao soi showed up about 15 minutes later with no mention of the delay. (We also got our check and paid quickly when we were done. Dunno what happened with the khao soi.) The Thai tea was great, and if you're sharing it with someone, 7 bucks is a great price for basically two Thai teas. The pad se ew - the first dish we always judge a Thai place on, being one of both of our favorite Thai dishes - was excellent. Great noodles, perfectly cooked and seasoned, with plenty of Chinese broccoli (I always like to call out the places that use inferior, wrong American broccoli instead, as was *not* the case here). 16 bucks, but that seems to be the going rate these days for Thai food (I remember when it was like half that much...), and you get a good portion. Good portion on the khao soi too. Wonderfully delicious crispy chicken, and a good amount of it. Great curry. Slightly too many crispy noodles, slightly not enough of the regular king - noodle-wise, just ok. In terms of khao soi, ST Noodle is definitely still the gold standard, with Thai District in 2nd. This could be 3rd, though. "Medium" spicy also wasn't very spicy - my wife liked it; I liked it a lot more after adding a bunch of chili sauce.

We tend to go with either their larb or papaya salad which both dish are quite tasty and flavorful. Spice level to your liking. This visit, the larb. Always served with a wedge of cabbage. The flavor is alway great and every bite, flavorful. Of course the only place that I alway get the boat noodles. I've had it at other places but this is my favorite in Long Beach. The broth is great and thick with all the meat. Chinese broccoli accompanied as well. It's comfort food and alway hits the spots. This time we've tried another dish that we've never had. The chili garlic fish with rice. We were informed that it would take about 15 minutes which was fine. Deep fried sole fillets with garlic and chili sauce served on top a bed of mixed salad.
