Drove out here from Vegas met up with Kerri to discuss a his and hers bike. I'm glad we took the road trip out there to get some questions answered and to take both bikes out for a test drive. We love the look of the Cuda and the look of the womens Storm Trooper. Very comfortable bike sitting and the straight up position with arms straight out while riding no hunch over riding here a great posture ride. Great shop great staff. Love my Sonic Saber e-bike after 600 miles over past five months. I have never seen another up here in MN, and this is definitely a head-turning cool ride, if that appeals to you. I get some kind of "where'd you get that thing?" comment or look almost every time I take it out. Fun and easy (for a 60-plus pound beast) to ride. Very comfortable seat and upright riding position is just what this 62-year-old body needs. Fantastic handling on streets/paved trails, but also does well on crushed aggregate or hard-packed dirt trails. Front suspension and 4" tires (I slightly under-inflate mine) swallow small bumps. Throttle very responsive -- very quick acceleration from dead stops for road crossings, and hills no longer take the fun out of riding. Pedal assist and gearing down gets me though modest hills, and the throttle can easily handle steeper grades. Weight is an issue, as it is for most e-bikes. But manageable. I can get it on and off my Thule EZ-Fold by myself, even with the (8 lb.) battery in. And, BTW if you are considering car racks -- while the Soul Fast barely fits the EZ-Fold, and needs the longer fat-tire straps, I have been extremely happy with that combo. Highly recommended. But you don't want to have to pedal this beast -- at least not very far, and heaven forbid up any hills -- if you drain the battery. Which leads to the only negative that would prevent this from being a no-negatives rave review. The battery life gauge is not reliable. Mine tends to stay at what shows as "full charge" for 25-ish miles, but then quickly depletes over a short distance (less than 5 miles) from full charge to "flashing low," and the battery will go dead with no meaningful "low battery" warning. Note that I have the older-style black/grey (not color) display controller. So perhaps this issue has been addressed with the newer models (bought mine new, but think it was an old-stock 2022). That said -- battery life overall has been precisely as advertised. Soul Fast says the estimated minimum range for this motor/battery combo is 30-40 miles. I ran mine dead (thankfully within 1/2 mi of my destination, but again with little warning from the battery gauge) on a recent 32 mile ride. Of course there are numerous variables that affect battery life, and I was heavy on the assist and throttle for that ride on a very hot/humid day, with many uphill climbs. YMMV. Literally. But 30 mile range works for me. If that is not the full limit for my battery, it pretty much is for my old-man body. For my more typical one-hour-ish, 12-15 mile, light-workout rides, this thing is a dream. I ordered on-line direct from Soul Fast. Customer service was good. Delivery timely. Assembly, even for the mechanically inept (and I am), was manageable. My wife has an Aventon Level.2, which is a solid, solid bike. The Soul Fast is just cooler on every level, and way more fun to ride. That is subjective, of course. But the build quality of the Soul Fast is also objectively every bit as good or better than the Aventon. Look no further than the solid, over-built frame. Of course the component parts are, like virtually every e-bike, manufactured in China, but Soul Fast stuff is NOT, as one reviewer erroneously suggests, "Chinese junk." I think its the coolest cruiser on the road. If you are looking for a recreational, cruiser-style e-bike, you should not buy before taking a serious look at Soul Fast. read more

Soul offers some of the best pedal and electric cruisers that can be bought. The performance and style is unparalleled, especially considering what they charge for them. I've have a Saber, Stinger, and SS model, all of which rip. Why buy Chinese Costco specials when you can have an American designed beast at nearly the same price? Two recommendations for any current or perspective buyers. 1) Get the larger battery, where possible. This is especially necessary in any area with hills. 2) Like any high performance machine, these bikes require maintenance. When I decided to get an E-bike I did lots of research. I learned a lot, including the fact that you cannot just base your decision on the bike itself, but the quality of the company and service that it provides. This is how I came to my decision to go with Soul. It was a super easy decision too. First, the bikes are designed by the owner, who is clearly passionate about bikes and it shows. The quality of the bikes are phenomenal. There are no shortcuts here. For instance, the quality of the welds are incredible. The frames are tough as nails yet superbly designed and crafted. I love the fact that the company offers a lifetime warranty on their frames. The design is that of a cross between a beach cruiser, mountain bike and a BMX bike. It's like you took the best of all three and made a super bike of sorts. I had an opportunity to meet the owner, Jim Decker. He was awesome and you could totally see the passion and his love for bikes. It was abundantly clear why they produce such amazing bikes. When you love what you do, it's reflective in your work. So I finally got to update my review from 8 months ago... Since that time, 2 of my friends have purchased their SBC ebikes (a Saber, and a Stomper) which only made matters tough for me as I had to see their posts enjoying their SBC cruiser ebikes on social media. The Stinger model I wanted to purchase wouldn't be in stock until possibly Oct 2021... But who knew Jim Decker, the owner, could make a miracle happen for me. I was fortunate to get a hold of this prototype Shark Attack Slayer model which has yet to be released... I am beyond thankful to Jim, and his shop mechanics, for allowing me to get this cruiser without having to wait 'till late fall/early winter. That's the earliest their next Stinger models would be made available again. This cruiser is everything I could ever ask for, and then some! I bought a bike from these folks and finally received it after several months and many delays. When I finally receive my bike, I assemble it , and it instantly has issues with the power dropping out randomly! My bike does NOT perform as advertised! I both call and email them, and help them troubleshoot the issues with my bike, they decide it's the motor, and to help me out they send me a used wheel motor assembly to get me by for the time being. It's been months and they cannot tell me when they will send me new parts to fix my bike nor will they exchange it for a bike that preforms as advertised. I waited 18 months for my bike and when talking to Jim he said if I pay via Venmo he would send me a t-shirt and copper water bottle holder to save him the credit card fee. I have followed up multiple times with Jim as I never received the items promised, the bike was shipped incomplete without a headset which I had to purchase and the bike was dented during shipping. Don't buy a beach cruiser without checking this place out FIRST. I stumbled across SOUL by accident when I attempted to look at bikes at the "now out of business" Tempe Bicycle on Rural. There was a sign on the door advertising the Soul bike shop, so we went to take a look. So glad we did! The frames that Jim uses are his own design and totally different than any other cruiser on the market. You can customize your color, rims and even handle bars to get exactly what you want. And they have cool colors that you won't find anywhere else. I am 6'4", so I wanted a larger frame. The Soul bikes are naturally larger by design, and just perfect for me with a set of ape hanger handle bars. Jim is a really cool guy, and takes the time to educate his customers on how he has designed an all-around better bike. He'll let you mix and match parts until your bike is perfect for you. And the prices are LESS than anything that you'll find in a chain bike shop, for a far better and unique product. So do yourself a favor and look at a Soul bike before buying anything, anywhere else. I have had this bike for about 5 weeks. It is a solid bike for the money. My bike was purchased by mail as the bike currently has no retailers except in AZ. I spent 1.5 years looking for something more solid and this cruiser/BMX hybrid was the only contender I really found. I was not able to ride the bike before purchase but spoke to Jim the owner on the phone. When I had my local bike shop pals put it together I had top tier Ergon grips and Saint pedals put on instead of the standard fare. These high end contact points I am used to were crucial for me. The bike is great but this is why I did not give 5 stars: I have found this 26" bike frame is unusually large and long which means the chain is extra long. I purchased a one speed, which is best for my almost nightly workouts 2-4 hrs of hard urban riding. The long chain on a one speed means that there is more of a likely hood of tight and loose spots within the chain as you rotate the pedals. One potential solution to improve this issue is to upgrade the large sprocket with a professional BMX sprocket such as a Odyssey or Profile Racing Sprocket (CNC machined are highest quality sprocket - as opposed to Soul's stamped sprocket). BUT.. note this bike is outfitted with a 24mm Samox spindle crank set (They stopped making bikes with 24mm spindles decades ago), which does NOT allow the bike to be upgraded with a quality cnc sprocket (unless you spend more to have the main hole custom cnc'ed). After weeks of research I had mine custom bored out by Profile as cnc shops around here wanted a $75 min to do this one task. Get a complete spec list for any bike you buy - before you buy it. read more

Unfortunately, I cannot give the bike a good review. The are direct ship from China. Not from AZ. Therefore, no quality control. Although, they tried working with me they did not offer to take the bike back without a restocking fee since other bikes "returned were damaged in shipping" This blew my mind cause the bike came from China in a TV box. Too many issues to list. However, the main one is the Sturmey Archer Hub is not warrantied for Ebike use and the bafang controller wire is not long enough. You have to take your hands off handlebar for use. These are very nice to talk to but they should of immediately taken the bike back since I documented all the problems the day after I received it. Being an bike guy, I would of engineered the drive system differently for sure. I probably would of received different treatment if I lived in the southwest and visited them face to face. read more

What Can I say about my SS Saber Pro? I really needed a super sturdy and reliable cruiser that was fun to ride. This bike delivered that in spades! Everything about it screams meticulous quality. The frame is amazing. The readout screen, the suspension, the motor, the battery placement - all engineered so much better than any other bikes I looked at.....The surprise? Its like the low rider Cadillac of E-Bikes! I looks amazing - all of that sturdy engineering was also a feat of cool design. People stop me constantly as I cruise around - with genuine questions! "What is that?" "Where did you get it?' "How can I get one?" My family was also really surprised and my son constantly wants to take it out. I was so excited getting this Soul Sonic Saber E-bike for my son last year. It ended up being a complete nightmare dealing with this company. The bike arrived 1.5 months after I bought it (bought July 1st, arrived mid August). When it arrived it had a bent chain ring, it was missing the brake bolts to attach to the caliper, and the little pointed bullet caps for the wheel bolts didn't fit. Once I assembled the bike it worked for about 2 months before it stopped turning on. I contacted the company and went back and forth with them trying to get some resolution. They finally told me to have a local bike tech come look at it to assess the problem. I ended up doing that at a cost of $150 and he determined the battery fuse had blown which was preventing the bike/display to turn on. The bike seemed to be working after that. Shortly after that the rear tire bolt sheared in half and the tire came off the frame as my 13 yr old son was riding it. Luckily he was not hurt because he wasn't going very fast. I started contacting the company again with this new problem and kept getting the run around about what's covered under warranty, they are under staffed, they've been having lots of customer complaints so they're backed up, and on and on. I reminded them of all the problems I had already experienced with this bike and could they just replace it or refund me. Again I kept getting the run around, and back and forth with them not willing to step up to the plate. Finally I convinced them to at least send me a replacement rear wheel that had we'd had the shearing problem with, and I would send them the damaged one (again, I mailed the rear tire back to them at my cost of $45). Once I got the new rear tire I had to have it "trued/balanced" at a bike shop because the spokes weren't tight, along with the front tire (which was another $50 out of pocket). I asked the shop to mount the rear tire just to be sure it was done correctly and Soul would have no way to say I mounted it wrong, or whatever excuse they might come up with. So it took me $245 to repair a bike that had only been working for 2-3 months out of the now 7 months i'd had it. Needless to say, despite as cool and sweet looking the bikes are, they are not well built for the price, and the customer care does not really "care". I had a friend who was considering investing in the company, which I strongly advised against. Thankfully he got out of it before it was too late. It's really a sad situation because I think the bike has potential to be great. I ended up buying my son a different brand E-bike which he's had for 2 months so far, and he's had no problems. I will just say for this price, be very aware of what you're getting. There are a lot of other better quality bikes out there for much less than this. I noticed a lot of other reviews with the same sentiment. read more
