Unimpressed, I needed a quick rear derailleur adjustment. Asked the front desk person at 10am on a Thursday if they had 5 minutes to adjust my derailleur. He said "no he didn't have 5 minutes... but he could schedule an appointment next week to get me in". I left, drove up the street to the next bike shop and had them adjust my derailleur. In the 7 minutes it took to adjust the derailleur I spent $400 on other bike stuff plus rented a bike for my wife for 3 days. Bike Masters needs a little work on customer service. Nice shop but didn't care for the service. We went in looking for some quality helmets. The person "helping" basically didn't. We wanted something with a visor and he talked down to us pretty much saying visors are over rated and showed us something else. He may know bikes, but treating us like we don't know what we wanted or liked because maybe we didn't look like bike enthusiasts. BTW, the bikes in the place are high end and very expensive. I called a day before for a tire replacement. When I got there and I was explaining what the issue was with my bike the guy at the counter didn't even bother to listen to what I was saying after I was done talking he said that they were too busy to help me and to try another shop. He was very unprofessional and extremely rude. Definitely lacked in common customer service. before I left he said they were too busy for me. read more

We went during their inventory week and they would not accept the bike to repair a flat tire. Today we drove up there again and they said we could not leave the bike there without an appointment. I rented 2 Levo SL bikes, both worked great! We did have an problem, one of the battery chargers they gave us was for a regular Levo and did not fit. We figured out the issue and called the shop, they had the correct one and we went to pick it up. The bummer was no one apologized for the mistake, no money was credited back for the inconvenience of the drive back across town. I would not recommend the north Mesa store. Ed read more

LADIES BEWARE! Went in to this shop today with my boyfriend to ask about basic maintenance on an old 60s bicycle I recently bought. The guy at the front counter(white bearded male) initially showed interest in the bike when he looked up pictures. He then started to explain to me in a rather condescending manner about how it would cost 250 dollars to replace simple things like bearings on the bike. The entire time he was going over all of this he kept rolling his eyes, avoiding eye contact with me and basically was trying to have this conversation with my boyfriend. At this point I felt like because i was a woman, that this man thought i knew nothing and chose to belittle me. So i decided to play dumb because i was upset and let them continue talking. The only actual advice we took from this man was that we needed to special order tires for the bike. While being mentally checked out I decided I would buy a seat for the bike and take this into my own hands. The guy pointed me to a small section of seats that I physically had to dust off because they sat so long. After being shown the section this man immediately moved on to what seemed like a shop regular to just chat with him like they were old friends. We were about 10 feet from them and he ignored us like we were chopped liver. If we weren't spending all our money, we don't deserve good customer service? Because I'm a woman I don't deserve respect when I'm trying to talk to you? This is toxic and bad for business as I'm sure the owners of these shops wouldn't condone this behavior. At the end of the day working on bicycles isn't rocket science, this guy just didn't want to put in the work. Bought a new bike there 2 and a half years ago. They promised me free tune ups for life. Now suddenly they don't since someone bought the company? My wife and I took in her bike because the tires wouldn't hold air. They installed two new inner tubes and posts. They didn't tell us they put tire sealant in the tire or how to store the tires. She didn't get a chance to ride it for 9 days. In that time the tires went flat. I called the Mesa location and told them the tires were flat and my wife wasn't happy. We thought they had made a mistake installing the tires. When I took it back to them, the person, name unknown, had a real attitude and sarcastically told us tires need to be refilled every one to two days. We didn't know that. He filled the tires for us. The next day it was flat. I tried to fill it up using the electric pump I use for my car tires as well as a manual pump. I couldn't get the tires to refill. All that happened was a thick yellow substance oozed out of the post. I called and they said it was tire sealant and to fill the tire at the 3 or 6 o'clock position and the ooze would stop. We had tried that originally but it didn't work. We took the bike back to them. They ended up putting two more inner tubes on because the sealant had hardened. They charged us for taking the tires off and for one new inner tube. We were told the tire needed to be stored with the post in the 12 o'clock position. We didn't feel we should be charged for the last visit as no one told us about tire sealant and how to store the bike tires. read more

Very clean and well-stocked with gear and bikes for all skill levels (Specialized Dealer), the staff is very knowledgeable, professional and extremely helpful. I was riding my Diamondback bicycle and my son-in-law suggested I take it to Bikemasters for a tune up. He said the cost would be $75. I am 75 years old and just use the bike to ride around the park, but decided to take him up on the suggestion. I left the bike on Tuesday and got a call on Friday afternoon saying it would cost $250 to recondition the bike. I said I would pick it up as I was having no problem with my rides around the park I live in. When the bike was given to me, the back wheel wouldn't even roll. I complained to the serviceman, he made an adjustment to the brake and it would now roll, but with resistance as the wheel was hitting the brake and wouldn't roll without rubbing the brake. On my most recent visit to the North Mesa Bike Masters, I found the staff to be friendly and eager to help with my bike needs. I needed the shifters adjusted, new brakes and a new chain. I was told that they would attempt to adjust the shifters, but if they could not they would replace them. When all was said and done they were able to adjust the shifters to new condition with no attempt to upsell. And, I feel much safer with the new brakes. The people at Bike Masters did a great job tuning up my bike and although they might be just a tad bit more pricey than others....peace of mind is a necessity. Fair, honest and do great work. I wanted to buy a new bike, but being a fairly new rider I didn't have much knowledge. I knew I wanted something lighter and newer than what I had. I went into bike masters a few times before actually making a purchase. Jordan helped me and answered all questions I had without putting any type of pressure on me to buy. I finally bought a new bike and the unthinkable happened. My new bike had fallen off the rack while I was on the freeway on my way home. I took the bike back to the shop not knowing what to expect or think. Again Jordan was incredible. He waited passed closing until I dropped the bike off so he could look at it. He assured me he would do everything he could to make sure the bike was back to the way it was when I had bought it. After he, and Tyler looked at it and only two days I had my bike back.
