    Wings (Garlic and Parmesan)
    Whitley G.

My niece was looking for a nearby breakfast place to go to after a basketball game we attended. This place popped up for me and my family. She called ahead to see if they would be able to seat a family of 5. She spoke to Alaina (i may have spelled her name wrong so if I did please forgive me) and she was so accommodating over the phone and when we arrived. She not only sat us down in the back, but she was waiting multiple tables all by herself. I will say it's very tight and limited space in there so i was worried we wouldn't be comfortable in the back on the small table. However, she made it work. Alaina, was very polite to us and treated us very well. I pay attention to that because my family has had poor service from other restaurants before so the details matter. The food was pretty good. I got the Belgium waffle and chicken and It was fairly good. I like how the chicken was crispy enough but not too overcooked. My sister had the avocado toast. She said it was okay but we usually like avocado spread over bread with seasoning (similar to Smoothie King) and not have too many toppings which sometimes makes the bread soggy. The egg Benedict and All American were good. They wings were not my favorite just because they were a little dry because the garlic and Parmesan are laid on top instead of dripped wet. So, the ranch sauce helped a bit. But the woman who checked us out let me know I should try the French toast next time. A lot of people like it so I'll come back certainly. Overall, the atmosphere and service was stellar. I'll definitely come back. Thank you to the servers and staff for the incredible experience.

This place is amazing! Food and service absolutely spectacular! It's a smaller place but they do have a lot of seating. We got the crème brûlée latte which was good but it is on the sweeter side but of course right! we got the French toast eggs with bacon. The French toast was delicious and fluffy. The bacon was nice and crispy and eggs are eggs but cooked very well! My husband had the dolce de leche pancakes, but I forgot to take a picture, but those were absolutely out of this world! We also tried the empanadas that were stuffed with ground beef, mozzarella, and plantains. Also very delicious! This place is a must try if you're ever in the Schertz/Cibolo area!

This is an experience I had with Souffle Cafe & Bistro in Cibolo. Wanting to try a new restaurant w/ hearty breakfast options and found this new gem in the block on Yelp. Glad I tried! It is located on Brite Rd at a small plaza (The Shops at Cibolo Creek) between 1103 and Weil Rd, not too difficult to find since there're not much buildings around the area when I visited. It is a small mom & pop restaurant that gave me a warm homey feeling while entering the restaurant; usually the small ones have the best food & service! Ordered the Chicken panini w/ salad and the mango/strawberry juice, recommended by the owner. The food is amazing. The panini bread is crisp on the outside, w/ well proportioned chicken filling accompanied by fresh sliced tomatoes... savory yet fulfilling. The salad is also very fresh w/ healthy balsamic dressing. Server is also very attentive and made sure I liked the food. The mango/strawberry juice is surprisingly refreshing and thirsty quenching. Last but not least, they are military friendly! Because of the great tasting food and superb service, will definitely come back to try more items! Creme brûlée latte on my list. Keep up the good work Soufflé Cafe & Bistro!

While out and about running errands in Cibolo, I was in need of breakfast. I asked a coworker of mine in Schertz, and he recommended Soufflé Cafe. I looked it up on Yelp!, and after looking at the reviews and pictures, it looked pretty solid. I arrived and parked in the parking lot. I strolled inside and waited to be greeted. A quaint small café, no patrons anywhere in sight. I heard employees scurrying in the back, but there was no employee visible anywhere. No patrons, no one at the counter. Hmmmm.. Ok.. I stood there for two minutes (yes, I checked my watch) no one had greeted me. Out the door, and back to my car I went. I sat in my car and Googled other eating establishments. While Googling, I saw a gentleman walk in, and walk back out with a to-go bag. So someone had appeared right after I walked out. I decided to give it another shot. So, I strolled back inside. This time I was greeted promptly, and ushered to a table with a menu. My drink order was taken, and I was left to peruse the menu. A lot of good breakfast options, and a variety of special coffee type drinks. In good time, my iced tea made it to the table, and I ordered. I opted to keep it simple and opted for the All American. Eggs scrambled hard, bacon, scallions, and crispy home-fried potatoes. Pretty simple. I took a sip of my iced tea. The tea, while team flavored, had a pronounced coffee flavor, and was gritty. I guess they use the same machine both for coffee and tea, and did not change the filter? Hmm.. ok. Well, maybe that's on me for ordering that since the menu tries to steer you toward a specialty coffee. Based on how I was the only person in there, maybe they had to make a batch just for me, and it didn't turn out well. My food arrived in good time. The eggs were a little wetter than I would have liked, and were not scrambled hard. Eh, oh well. They were delicious anyway. The bacon was sort of flimsy and not crispy as the menu implied. No big deal, still delicious. The potatoes were crispy with a tasty seasoning. Breakfast was delicious. Overall, despite the rough start, this turned out to be great. My friend's recommendation was verified, and the reviews were accurate. Food was great too. Next time I am in the area, I will be back. Definitely recommend this place for breakfast. Give it a shot if you are over here. Enjoy!

This is one of my dad's favorite places here in Cibolo, Texas, and he wanted to take me here today for brunch. I really loved the ambiance of the place with the dim lighting and how the decorations next to the table I was sitting at made it feel kinda cozy. Our server was sweet and made sure we were taken care of. I had gotten the Iced Cupcake Latte and the breakfast sandwich. They were delicious! My dad got the Hot White Chocolate Mocha Latte and Breakfast Tacos. He said it was delicious as well. Overall, a great and pleasant place.

Quaint & charming place located in a small center outside of Cibolo Worth the drive Everything is fresh, made to order-so come hungry but patient

Best waffle I have found in this area so far, and everything else was seriously scrumptious as well. We had a classic breakfast of bacon, eggs, and potatoes as well as an omelette and their signature waffle latte. The eggs were perfectly cooked and fresh, the potatoes were so crispy and delicious, and the omelette was fluffy and well seasoned. I really can't wait to go back! The ambience is cozy and a little crowded. The space is small and the restaurant is popular, so they make use of every square inch! The service was awesome as well, our server was so sweet and she was kind enough to let me practice my very basic beginner Spanish skills on her, lol. We need to go back to try more of the menu!

What a nice coffee shop and bistro. I wanted a nice cup of coffee and a bite to eat. So glad I found this gem in Schertz. I had the signature soufflé cafe and it was the perfect amount of sweet. Can't wait to try more coffees and meals!

Usually this place is a hit. This time it wasn't. It's been a while since I have been here. Money is tight so eating out is not a common thing. I came here for coffee, figured I had been a good boy recently so I earned a little splurge. I got my usual taco order. With turkey as the meat. And a latte. All I taste in the latte is syrup. I don't know what causes that, but it's not good. The taco has the best taste! All of it was well seasoned and the that green sauce they throw in the little container was sooooo good!!! The only thing I didn't like was the tortilla. It was a raw white corn tortilla. Maybe next time I ask them to fry up the tortilla a little bit. It was a to go order, the service was just okay. The usual girl wasn't there this time. Hopefully this was just a fluke trip.

Enjoyed the Patacon for lunch today! Food is not overly salty and the house blended meat is a dense texture and well paired with the plantain. I will say because of the dense texture of the meat, chewing was an Olympic event. I would have loved some kind of gravy side to dip that meat into. But the portion was fantastic and the salad accompaniment was also perfect with the right amount of dressing. Dessert definitely shareable! We saw a couple of great hot coffees come out of the kitchen! Cafe is small and intimate and I just love seeing the operators come together as a family serving the community. Would love to come back for something else on the menu, particularly the smoothie bowl!

Small little restaurant out in Cibolo, Texas that packs some great flavor. I'm not an omelette person but had to try it from the plating I saw from other patrons. They did not disappoint. I highly recommend going in early as we had an hour wait and the establishment does not hold a lot of people. The workers were friendly and gave that "Mom & Pop" feel.

Ambiance of this place is beautiful! It is beautiful, relaxing, smooth jazz tones quietly fall over us as we walked in and chose our table. They got our order and we got our drinks very quickly. Their service is very caring, careful to get all correct and make picture perfect foods. The chai tea latte was sweetened just enough, not too sweet at all! The hot chocolate was at a drinkable temperature and did not burn at all. Also, very smooth and creamy! The Eggs Benedict was very filling. The flower was edible! The home fries were seasoned just right no added salt needed in my thoughts. The hollandaise sauce is not the typical thicker sauce, however, it is quite tasty and lemony to not destract from the amazing egg run amd Canadian Bacon. The American breakfast my husband ordered was scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection. The bacon was not too crispy, but not a limp rag. It was just that perfect middle. The homes fries were a beautiful golden brown, crispy on the outside and creamy soft on the inside. Not overcooked. No need for extra seasoning. We love that is local place is starting out amd we will be glad to come back again very soon. This would be a fabulous place to come on a date breakfast or lunch. Very relaxing and not too loud so you can actually talk.

A great, delicious find. Friendly waitstaff with good food recommendations when you're unsure of what you want. The food selection is varied enough with lots of unique dishes. We ordered a chimi sandwich and chicken panini. Both were excellent. The surprise hit was the crème brûlée coffee. A definite must have!

Planning to visit as part of a group. Is this a place to order individually with a debit card, or more traditional (order at table) and bring cash?…

They take cards or cash. You order at table if dining in. It's a small cafe so you may want to be sure they've got seating pending your group size. Good food. Good people.

The building is easy to find, situated next to Randolph Dental and across the street from Take 5 Oil Change. Parking is straightforward. The restaurant shares an outdoor lot with several neighboring businesses, and there was plenty of parking directly in front, including clearly marked handicapped spaces, plus an additional row across from the restaurant. Inside, the space is open, comfortable, and very clean. The interior seating is well maintained, and staff were consistently attentive to keeping the dining area tidy throughout the visit. The setup feels relaxed and inviting, and it is also nice to see that outdoor seating is available if you prefer fresh air. The food was excellent. I ordered the veggie omelette with added avocado and turkey, which was savory and well balanced. The hash browns were well seasoned with a good pepper profile, and the white chocolate latte stood out in particular. It did not have the artificial syrup aftertaste that is common at many places, which made it especially enjoyable. Service is what truly made the visit stand out. Jacqueline was friendly, attentive, and helpful from start to finish. She checked in at the right moments, answered questions without rushing, and kept everything running smoothly. As a thoughtful bonus, I was also given an extra pastry, which was a pleasant surprise and a great example of genuine hospitality. From a short stack of pancakes (still huge) with a side of sausage links to the avocado toast with eggs and a side of bacon, the food was very good quality and flavor. What was disappointing was that the service was lacking. The hostess wasn't busy as we walked in but seemed preoccupied with wiping menus instead of acknowledging our party. We finally said "hello" and then were acknowledged and seated but no real greeting or enthusiasm. Similar behavior from our waitress. No niceties, just "do you want something to drink". When our coffee was delivered we asked for water and they were promptly delivered without any words but no straws. Maybe water isn't automatic here and maybe straws aren't either? Later, I flagged down the waitress to ask for straws and we got 4 straws --- for 2 persons ... ok. Again the food was great but my coffee cup sat empty from early on, needing a refill and I finally had to ask for it. I hope this isn't the norm.. and it wasn't terrible, but for such good food, you'd hope the service would match.

Small, but comfortable place that has a few tables inside and out. Sell coffee and baked goods but also has a nice little breakfast/brunch menu. The owners ran the place and really seemed "happy" to see us, took time to walk us through the menu, offer suggestions, etc. just extremely "comfortable" place to be from the moment we walked through the door. My wife and I always pick two entrees and share. We went with the breakfast sandwich and the biscuits and gravy and we were not disappointed. The house made brioche bun for the sandwich and the biscuits were out-of-this-world delicious. Based on that, I would wager that the other baked goods they had displayed (scones, cinnamon rolls, etc) would have been wonderful! (I'll be back soon to confirm this) Back to the food...the sandwich was very good- egg was perfectly "over hard" and high quality cheese and bacon. The maple-chipotle mayo absolutely made the bite. Next time I will ask for extra, maybe slathered on both halves of the bun. The flavor of that mayo was unlike anything I've tasted- thoroughly enjoyed it and it complimented the overall flavor of the sandwich so well. Delicious!!! As already mentioned the biscuits were outstanding...which is not something that I say lightly. While I will always try biscuits and gravy, I am usually disappointed and it is typically because of biscuits that are too dense and too dry. These were neither- they were incredible and I'm not sure what gave them the touch of "sweet" but that little touch took the flavor of the biscuit over the top for me. Finally, the gravy was perfect from the amount of sausage to the elegant "sage-iness" of the bite. With respect to the quantity of gravy, it is not uncommon for places to not give enough gravy. The ratio of gravy to biscuit must be difficult to master, well they've done it at Northern D'Lights!! Just incredible experience and we will be back, on the regular! When it comes to the food, I would not recommend as I can't find a positive thing to say. We were excited to try the "coffee flight" in which you are able to choose up to 4 different flavors. They got the flavors wrong and so we were given the matcha with strawberry cold foam, snicker doodle, cookie and cream, and Texan smore. The coffee was bland without much flavor and don't get excited as these come in 2oz jars and all for more than $10. We asked for a water cup and were handed a paper cup with coffee grinds floating in it and not to mention is it straight from the tap. We have two kids and seen they have an order of two strawberry waffles, again for over $10, and when they arrived at the table they could not be bigger than a large silver dollar. We adults ordered our own avocado toast and opted for the brisket. The brisket was originally frozen as we seen her scrap it from a pan, the "toast" is served with several mini pieces of bread, an avocado spread, and a sprinkle of pico. Again, not much flavor and the bread was very soggy. When at the counter I did try to order over easy eggs in which she replied,"I'm sorry we don't do eggs like that. They come already made, frozen". This order totaled over $50 and a lot of disappointment. The staff were friendly.

Sadly, we did not have dinner there, but if the aromas were any indicator... oh yeah baby. Family owned with an upscale look and feel, you will not be disappointed. Looking forward to going back!

Tonight my husband and I dined here and unfortunately left disappointed--not only with most of the…read morefood, but also with how our feedback was handled. The good: The beer selection was solid, and the cucumber margarita was genuinely delicious. The not-so-good: * Wedge Salad: The salad itself was fine, but the highlight--bacon--was extremely sparse. Six tiny squares were placed on the edge of the plate, which felt oddly rationed and not nearly enough to enjoy throughout the salad. * Mussels: This was the most concerning dish. We expected mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce, but instead received them in a buttery yellow-orange sauce with a very unpleasant odor. The smell was not "fishy" but something far more off-putting--honestly resembling manure. I've worked in the restaurant industry for years and don't send food back lightly, but this was not normal. The server said the smell was typical, suggesting vinegar may have made it "pungent." Ultimately, the manager told us we still needed to pay for the dish, which we did without argument, though the experience was disappointing. * Shrimp Appetizer: It was fine, but nothing memorable or worth raving about. * Burger: The patty was overcooked, the bun was dry, and the fries ended up being the best part--crispy and greasy. Overall, we were hoping for a much better experience. While the drinks were enjoyable, the food quality and response to legitimate concerns left a lot to be desired.

So everyone should find something they will like. As we walked in, we were greeted by Freddy. We told him it was our first time, and he politely went through the menu which is up on the wall. I love when you can watch the chefs make your food. The crepes are being made right up front. Takes skill to thin out the batter into a round circle without the batter running over the edge. The chef made it look effortless. After we placed our order. We got a number to bring to our table. After a short moment, Freddy brought our food over to us. My maple pecan waffle smelled like Texas heaven. And that scoop of gelato on top, was wonderful. I was inducted in the clean plate club this breakfast. If I ever come back to this area, I will for sure eat here again.

Then the fruit on the side freshened up the plate. My chai tea latte was yummy too. The little interaction I had with the staff was pleasant, you do order at the counter and then the order is brought to your table, self seated. The inside is adorable overall, I could see coming here to get some work done or for a brunch date and it hitting all the marks!

The moment you step inside, the noise outside fades into something warmer -- replaced by the hum of conversation, bursts of laughter, and the comforting rhythm of a place full of life. From the kitchen comes the constant symphony of sizzling grills, clanging pans, and ice tumbling into glasses, all blending together into the kind of atmosphere that feels alive rather than loud. It's the sound of comfort. And then there's the smell -- sweet maple syrup drifting through the air, butter melting slowly over stacks of golden flapjacks, fresh coffee brewing somewhere nearby.
