Not to be dramatic....but this was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I had the fully loaded philly cheesesteak - i think they call it the Jimmy but it had pepper and mushrooms . The service was so wonderful! So welcoming and kind and made sure to check on us and take care of us. The fried pickles were SO GOOD!! Husbands Italian Mob sandwhich was pretty darn good. But my chicken Philly was ground up meat that wasn't cooked all the way, and it broke my heart to say the least. My girls enjoyed their hotdogs and fries though! Just moved to La Vernia, my husband wanted to try this place. We were en route and noticed they close at 1500 and it was 1420. I called to place an order for pickup since it would be close to the closing time to dine in. I was told they stop taking to go orders over the phone. I explained if they took to go orders in person since we would be there close to closing. She said if we were on the way now then yes. We continued driving and when we got there at 1449, she met us at the door and said the restaurant was closed. My husband explained that we were the ones who called and she wouldn't take our order over the phone and advised us to still come in after we told her we would get there right before closing. Needless to say we left with no food. Gas is expensive and I believe she could have taken our order earlier and we could have paid on the phone but to advise we would have to make the order in person and continue to drive to get there before closing is bad customer service. We will never come back to this establishment. We went to Capparellis and the italian sandwich was excellent and great customer service. Even though we got there at 1500 they were kind to give us the option to get the lunch menu which ended at 1500. This will be our go to place for sandwiches. read more

Delicious sandwiches and salads. The True Blue Rueban and the Cali Turkey in croissant are our favorite sandwiches there, but they have many more options. The sweet potato fries and homemade chips are pretty good and their pasta salad is tasty. read more

Arrived at 1:00 o'clock and place wash not busy at all. People that showed up way after us got served almost immediately after we did. Took 45 minutes to get 2 average sandwich's. Although the food wasn't bad, it sure wasn't great. Add in that it was hot and that the young staff needs a lesson in costumer service and how to multitask. Unfortunately I can't recommend them ..... unless you want to be ignored for the most part and get crappy service. I'd understand if the place was busy but it wasn't. today I'm giving Buffalo Joe's a three star because they charged me three dollars extra for something and then disclosed what it was also another $.99 for something else that I did not receive I didn't look in my box which is my fault before I left, but yeah, I got charged trusting them and then tipping them five dollars, which would be a good tip for putting the order together. I tried calling five times. The phone did not pick up. I was very upset so my fault was not looking in the box before I left and asking what this extra charge was the only thing that I should've been charged for was extra chipotle sauce , not three dollars plus change add onto my Joe's steak sandwich very upset read more

Recommend Joe's original...ham, salami, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard. Hold the mayo. Love their homemade chips! You will wait a lil bit for your food, but relax and have a drink with a friend on their outside patio; it'll be worth it. read more

I was passing through La Vernia around lunchtime and happened across Buffalo Joes, and I'm glad I'd did! I had Joes Philly cheesesteak and it was one of the best sandwiches I've had in years. The bread itself was fresh and great tasting but the meat and sautéed veggies were amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was spot on, the flavors melded together into an incredibly good sandwich. I saw a couple guys eating hamburgers that looked really good also. If you're in town I'd say give this place a go, tons of options and you can tell everything is freshly made. Next time I'm in the area I'll come back for sure and try the burger. I was In town for work and was brought here for lunch , this place was delicious . I had the bacon burger and fries and it was really hot and fresh when it came out.The menu selection is extensive , the decor inside is nice and the staff was friendly and attentive. I have been to Buffalo Joes a handful of times now. I have had experiences that range from "Eh..." to "okay". The first few months I worked in this area, my employer refused to take me here because they said it took forever to get your food. My employer stated that there had been times they had waited FAR TOO LONG for their food to come out. However, the last couple of times I have been here - I've gone early. Like - 11 or 11:30. I think that is the trick here. Go early! Our service is always decent and we have received our food relatively quickly 10-15 minutes after ordering. The food I have had has always been good. Problems really are, I think, with general service and with the check out procedure, but that is not necessarily the fault of the people working there - the wait staff seem to have to drop everything they are doing to help a customer check out. That, and the one bathroom is located out side - which is a little weird. read more

Top quality food for a slightly higher price compared to some of the local eateries. Had to give it $$ because the sandwich plus beverage will cost you about $12 or so. Wow!!! First time, it was not a disappointment. I had the cheese steak. My sandwich was piled with meat and cheese. The tomatoes were very fresh. My husband had the Italian Mob. The portions were large, we each took 1/2 sandwich home for leftovers. They have a selection of side. We both chose the French fries, they were fresh and crisp. The service was exceptional. Started with the small Greek Salad and it was delicious, actually not small at all and got plenty of olives, onions, tomatoes and spinach! My only regret is that I didn't take a picture...but overall it was fresh and really good! Their Italian Mob is a pretty big sandwich and is served hot! I had lunch with my mom and aunt and we decided to eat at Buffalo Joes. It is primarily a sandwich shop, located in an old building that has been re-purposed. The decor is unique and busy, without feeling cluttered. It is a very casual dining place, and seemed very popular with the locals. I ordered the tuna on a croissant with melted cheese. It was good, but not great. The tuna was a little too heavy with mayo. If they could find a tastier recipe for the tuna, it would be much better. They had homemade potato chips, which were good. Others in my party ordered the Turkey Jack, which is a turkey sandwich with Pepper Jack Cheese and a side of fried okra. The okra looked over cooked, and was advised that it wasn't as good as previous visits. I would like to visit this establishment again and try something else. Because of the popularity from the locals, I am assuming that there are better sandwiches than what I had. read more
