    Gyoza and spring roll

Quiet cozy relaxing environment. Staff sweet and kind and attentive. Food was quickly served and delicious. Very clean.

The food here had a few hits and a few misses. The gyoza was super flavorful and perfectly cooked! I would definitely order those again. The panko chicken was under-seasoned, and the katsu broth was pretty mild on its own (though the sriracha soy sauce added a tasty kick). However, I am willing to try again as sometimes delivery isn't as good as the dine-in experience.

Ang was amazing! My husband and I were visiting the area and she gave us great suggestions and truly made our trip unforgettable! The bao buns were the best bao buns we have ever had! They were made fresh to order and were filled with flavor!

My first time at Sosoba and the ramen did not disappoint! It was so good I would definitely come back for more. One thing I learned is they have a killer happy hour... I think it's like 50% off the ramen so I need to swing after 5pm I believe. This isn't a vibey restaurant by all means. It's a pretty cool small space with plenty of seating and it serves the best ramen in the valley. You'll love it! Only feedback I have is the server mentioned to the cooks she has a Nigerian and asked for some Tylenol, which automatically got me thinking "shoot she's probably sick." Turns out the next day we ended up catching a bug from her and got sick. Please wear a face mask if you're not feeling 100%.

Super cool noodle spot that pulls flavors from all over Asia--not your typical Japanese ramen joint, but in a good way. The menu is small but everything sounds so good we had a hard time choosing. We sat outside where they had cute Japanese lanterns, which made the vibe even better. Our server was really friendly and chill--not hovering, just super helpful. We got the Mic Drop--really flavorful broth and loaded with toppings. The kimchi gave it a nice kick and kept it from feeling too heavy. Also tried the Hostile with mushroom broth (went with udon noodles instead of rice noodles) and it was delicious. The bulgogi beef was super tender and the hoisin on top added a fun touch. Would totally come back!

Cool little spot you might miss when passing by, but you shouldn't. A small complete menu of different ramens that I'm looking forward to trying. Today I had a hostile takeover, partially because of the name but also it sounded delicious and it was! Wonderful broth with some extra spice and hearty noodles and spiced beef. Outstanding lunch and very reasonably priced. My waitress was charming and accommodated my mochi request (they have mochi!) . It's an easy bike ride from historic Phoenix for me; I'll be back soon.

I'm on the simpler side when it comes to noodles. I really enjoy the Mic Drop noodles either way. I'd describe it as savory, but also a hit or miss. I also tried the mango creamy lemonade. It tasted diabolical. I don't know how to describe the flavor other than it not resembling a regular lemonade. It was non alcoholic, and I don't drink, but it sure had the after taste of alcohol. I believe it's just not my thing. Regardless, my partner and I go there pretty often enough to recommend it to the people we know. Pros: * nice ambience, very hipster * each bowl averages about $16 each which isn't horrible * good choice in add-ons Cons: * hit or miss in quality, never truly bad tasting * depending on service, they may or may not visit the table * mango creamy lemonade

This place is amazing! We almost didn't come because of the reviews but after eating we were both in shock why it wasn't a 5 star spot! The vibe, food and service was awesome!

A very unique, trendy experience. Not your usual ramen restaurant. Easy, casual hangout place with your friends. They serve alcohol just like a bar. Servers are nice and keep on checking with us to make sure we are okay. The fried chicken and the chicken wings are awesome! My friend that doesn't step his food in Asian restaurants said the chickens are great. Mic Drop good broth and lots of ingredients. My beef ramen is good for the most part. I think the charred beef is great but made the broth a bit bitter. The ramen noodles are perfect texture. I don't live in that area, but I would definitely go back if I am in town.

Really friendly warm service, great aromas! Great menu options. I ordered the kids ramen with miso seasoning as I only wanted a snack. The flavoring was very subtle and I found myself wishing there were a bit more seasoning. The noodles were great. I'd also request a few lower priced items that are more snack friendly, perhaps a mini ramen or salad option that is half priced. Otherwise service was wonderful!

SoSoBa is a great option for Ramen on Roosevelt Row. Modernish interior. QR codes at the table where you could either order through those or a server would come help you. The ramen came out quickly. The broth had a good depth for flavor and the noodles tasted fresh. This place is worth the visit.

We've been a few times, taken friends from out of state too. Highly recommend this place. Atmosphere is calm yet fun. Good music, amazing food. Spicy pork broth is absolutely outstanding!! They take good care of people with allergies too. Gluten free and vegan friends this place is for you. The meat, the broth, so good. My favorite is the chicken. Their drinks are tasty too. Tonight we ordered a gluten free udon ramen and added miso broth. Kids noodle udon with spicy pork broth, veggies and chicken. Prices are also fair and staff is friendly.

This is very cool joint with a dark feel too it. They have a basement bar which we ventured into and they also have an upstairs bar as well, so you can fit a lot of drunk People in there. It also features a lot of great art that fits really highlights the Mexican bar vibe. The waitress/bar tender/ agave expert was very welcoming and know a lot about their tequilas and mescal option. I love me some smokey mescal, I dont remember thet name of the drink but it had some kind of elote triple sec or something like that along with Mescal and it was quite tasty. Trust me I was in no state to remember ingredients but this is from my foggy memory. I also got a pick of the cool ice blocks that has an Agave inlay that they put in the tumbler with your drink. I will definitely be going back for their wide Mescal and tequila options. I didn't see food in the bar, but they have a food truck out front that smelled amazing, but sometimes I simply dont want to eat when there are plenty of drinks to be had. They do have Esquites, Tacos, Quesadillas, Mini Chimis, and loaded fries. I will have to do another review on the food when I am not out being a borracho. They do take reservations and host private parties which would make for one raucous Christmas party if you don't work at a Christ loving conservative company like me. You can also order bottles of mescal and pick it up on location which is pretty awesome as especially after trying out the selection. Happy hour is every weekday that they are open to try out some of their cocktails. This is a great option to impress your tinder date if you are a lush like me pr want to show of your sophisticated drinker side.

The sausage & broccolini pasta had good overall flavor with a decent kick of heat, though it leaned a little too heavy on the salt. The miso and lemon pepper wings were both fine, typical wings. My glass of wine tasted flat, so that was a bit of a letdown. Surprisingly though, the highlight drink of the night was my date's IPA. I don't even like IPAs, but it was genuinely delightful! Since the restaurant doesn't seem to have a designated lot, parking downtown can be a gamble. I got lucky and found a street meter for just $1.20/hour. However, my date ended up in the private lot directly behind the building and that was a $33 charge for 3 hours! Just a heads-up to think about about parking options ahead. I scored a free ticket; I can fly pretty cheaply thanks to my wife's flight benefits, so why not? Since I wasn't even sure I was going until a few days before, I hadn't RSVP'd for any of the usual conference dinners or after-hours events. My original plan was pretty simple. Hang out at the hotel, grab something at the bar, relax. Then the opportunity came up to have dinner with two good friends I hadn't seen in more than a year. Conference event? Or actual quality time with friends? Easy decision. We headed over to Industry Standard. One of my friends had wisely made a reservation online, which definitely helped. We were seated right away, although shortly after sitting down we learned they needed our table/section for a larger group. No biggie. We moved and carried on. Our server got drinks going quickly. I stuck with water, while one of my friends had the Pretty In Peach cocktail and gave it the thumbs-up. The menu looked really good. Two of us went with the Poke Bowl, while the odd woman out ordered the Caesar Salad with chicken. Sounds pretty basic, right? Apparently not. She said it was really, really good. She also ordered the Confit Tomatoes as an appetizer. Funny enough, those arrived a few minutes after our entrées because there was apparently a little confusion about whether they were an appetizer or part of someone's meal. Again, not a big deal. We were there to catch up, not run a stopwatch. As for my poke bowl, I'll admit I was slightly concerned about the portion size. Poke bowls can sometimes fall into that "small bowl, big price" category. Not here. It was a surprisingly large portion, very tasty, and had a nice little bit of spice to it. Definitely exceeded expectations. And because apparently dinner wasn't enough, we finished by sharing the cookie skillet with ice cream. Solid decision. Very good. Service throughout the night was excellent, although I unfortunately can't remember our server's name. Sorry, my dude. You did a great job! The restaurant itself is fairly small inside, although they do have outdoor seating. Of course, when it's roughly 110 degrees in Phoenix in August, eating outside isn't really my thing. So if you're planning to go and want to sit indoors, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. Good food, great service, and even better company. In the end, skipping the big conference after-hours scene for a relaxed dinner with old friends was absolutely the right call.

My party and I had a reservation on a Saturday night at 9pm (when it's 13 people, what can you do). What kind of sucked though (and mainly why I'm deducting a star) is that we did wait an additional half hour to be seated after our reservation time. Our theory is that they didn't think the entire party would actually arrive, and they were not ready to accommodate us. To be fair, the restaurant IS on the smaller side, but there was 0 communication during that half hour on what was going on... which isn't really good for us either. We got the original set, and this somewhat confused me as well. The food was really good, and was definitely a restaurant that I'd go to for the experience, but for some reason some of the meats were doubled while others weren't. The double portions were really nice since our party was so large, we needed to split the food between 4 different grills (so each table got 2 grills each, feeding 6-7 people in total or 3-4 people per grill), but then we had to share the portions where we only got one serving. It wasn't bad, but to me, didn't make sense. The food was really good though; I didn't care too much about the soup, but the green sauce was SO good. Mixing a little with the soup was incredible. I thought the beef and pork were really good. I personally left the restaurant full, but many others in my party did not. I think it's a really good amount of food for 2 people, but when you push to 3+, you probably do not want to come hungry. Also--the live music at Pemberton next door is SO LOUD, you're going to be shouting at your table the entire night when you sit outside. I think I would come back if I wanted to show this place to someone who didn't live here, but it isn't on the top of my list for when I'm trying to eat out, but I will definitely consider this for special date night occasions. It is extremely expensive for what it is though. For $70+ you risk the chance of leaving not full which SUCKS.
