I wasn't smart enough to realize how right my dad was on pretty much everything until I got to my 30's. It took me too long to realize that and that's on me. I do recall his advice on plumbing but have never had to use it until now. He had gone with Soreano's exclusively for many years and I do recall him telling me that if I ever needed plumbing that they were the go-to guys. I've been lucky - dodged the need for a plumber for decades until now. Called Soreano's this morning - they fit me in and took care of the problem along with some additional preventive work that would have ultimately needed attention. Cannot beat the service and the response. And the price was very fair for the job and the additional work they performed. I called another service that has 4.9 stars here on Yelp and advertises being available 24/7. Never heard back from them. Their voicemail box was full so I couldn't leave a message. I left my callback number hours ago via SMS and still have yet to receive a reply. Needless to say - I don't need the other company and while I'm not looking forward to needing a plumber anytime soon I definitely calling Soreano's again. I cannot understand why Soreano's is 5 stars across the board. I even received a great tip for a new band to listen to that was right on point. Totally recommended. read more

Less than one star. Note date on reviews. Danger! Beware. This is no longer Soreano's plumbing, but Acclaim Soreano. The business was bought. While the plumber themselves are good, if there is a problem, the owner, Kevin tells you he will take care of it by phone but DOES NOT. After a few texts/calls, he ghosts the client. He lies. It's hard to find whether he is bonded and licensed. Not under Acclaim, not under Soreano. They made a couple mistakes that could have been corrected, but I had to go outside of them after two weeks of people having no shower to get it repaired. Kevin promised to re-pay me but just nothing. Out nearly $700. Filing with Wa Attorney General and trying to stop payment at Visa now. read more

Soreano's sold and now owned by PT Nguyen. Apparently they do more than plumbing now. They did a good job (so far as we can tell) on installing 2 windows and a new sliding door. BUT when my elderly mom asked about painting two rooms she was quoted $5,000! I think they were trying to take advantage of her and so she's never using them again. read more

Clogged drain again in an older home. Has happened before and called them out again. Yes, they weren't even close to make their appointment time and they didn't notify me. So the only way to find out was to call them and ask for an estimated new time. But, stuff happens and I get that. But they stayed later until they got things going again, were very respectful and showed me where the issue was. Masked up and cognizant of where we are in today's world, which is a pretty different place. read more

A friend highly recommended them. I completely agree. Covid friendly, wearing masks at all time. Very competitively priced. Guys were friendly and very efficient. They explained everything. All parts used were not cheap imports. They repaired a leak from the meter to my house, even put a valve on my irrigation system for very little extra dollars. No, No, no, Don't waste your time, look elsewhere; avoid. I had an apartment sink drain line that needed replacing. I went into great detail of the problem with Roger, I was told 'no problem' they had time on either Monday or Tuesday (it was Friday when I called). Monday I waited for their call to say when to expect them, finally I called them and was told they didn't want to go into a crawl space to work!!! A plumber that wont go into a crawl space? Such a waste of my time, and couldn't even call to tell me. I had to quickly start calling yet more plumbers. We have an old craftsman home built in 1920's and Soreano's was highly recommended for old homes. Our old pipes were leaking for sometime and Ron, Brad and crew did a phenomenal job replacing the pipes in our basement. A job that would've taken 5hrs, they completed in 2hrs. Friendly, very knowledgeable and efficient! I think I've found my new go-to plumber. Also, an added bonus they are a small business in Columbia City. Supporting small local businesses! read more

Brad and Cole did a fine job replacing our leaking garbage disposal. We also got a new pullout faucet as ours was corroding. On the positive side, Ron the owner responded to my voice mail promptly, and in fact was able to send folks out the same day, which was great. However be forewarned that they charge a flat rate for whatever they do, which includes materials and they are not cheap! If you subtract the cost of materials, their labor came to almost $400 hour! So unless it's an emergency, I'd shop around. read more

The service was extremely responsive and punctual. I was very pleased that they were able to schedule me for the next day for a relatively minor shower faucet leak. To their credit, they did advise me in advance what the price would be, perhaps higher than usual because I was told that I have a more complicated German manufactured unit. They sent out 2 plumbers, which might explain the higher price. They seemed to work efficiently and the bill came in at the estimated amount. Overall a positive experience. read more

I'm having bad luck with plumbers in Seattle. The Soreano's Saga begins after my lousy experience with Evan Hatfield. I call Soreano's, who schedules an appointment five days hence. I am instructed to call that day at 8:30 to get on the "dispatch list.." My wife arranges to stay home from work that day. She dutifully calls and is informed that the plumber will be out sometime after noon. Noon comes and goes. Two comes and goes. Three comes and goes. Finally, a phone call - "Sorry, something came up, can't make it. How about tomorrow?" Fine. Our goddamn tub is leaking and we need it fixed. I have spoken with the office manager who answers the phone several times and have been nothing but pleasant to her. She has been pleasant as well. That lessens the sting a bit. My wife takes the brunt of it and stays home the next day as well, as she is a saint and deserves high praise. The plumber rolls in at about 3pm. He is "unable to recreate the leak." I recreate the leak every day after I take a shower - turn the shower on, and ten minutes later water will be pouring into the garage. He caulks a few things, snakes the drain, tells my wife about a few things to keep an eye out for, and leaves her saying that what he did should have fixed it. We are charged roughly $235. Next morning, after I take a shower, I go down to check the garage. Sure enough, water from the sky. The plumber fixed nothing. Later that day, I call Soreano's back and make an appointment for them to return to try again. A few hours later I get a call from the office manager. They made a mistake on the bill and we owe an additional $54 and change. There was a miscommunication between her and the plumber when he was writing up the bill and he wrote the bill wrong. Can we send an additional $54? Really? You want me to pay you an additional $54? Let's review: 1) They didn't show up the first day. 2) They showed up the second day, but didn't fix the leak. 3) We paid what they asked, and scheduled another appointment which I presume was going to cost us several hundred dollars. 4) They then called us and asked us to pay for their billing error. Perhaps I'm the grumpiest 32 year-old on the planet, but this was too much. I called the office manager back and explained to her that I would pay this bill, however, I felt that if they were serious about their vaunted customer service (which she had extolled to me in virtually every conversation) then they would look past the $54 and instead focus on our repeat business, which could be worth hundreds (if not thousands) more. The office manager told me that it sounded to her like I wanted to get free work. Gotcha. It sounds to me like she screwed up the billing and was trying to cover her ass. I asked her to invoice me, and canceled our appointment. Ah, short-sighted Soreano's. I could have kept you in business for quite some time, as my plumbing leaks like a damned sieve. I'm feeling a bit like Thomas these days - I doubt the existence of a just and righteous plumber. read more

After an unexplained leak in our ceiling we called Soreano's. They came quickly (a positive), and were friendly (another positive). They were not able to find or fix the leak though and the visit cost $400+. They did however leave an itemized invoice - which seems to be another problem people report in their reviews. After waiting several days the top rated plumbers on yelp showed up and found and fixed the leak for $60. read more

We've done a lot of business with Soreano's. Well over $20,000 during a major remodel a year ago. But I won't use them again because they don't value quality work or customer service. Our sewage pump backed up. Since Soreano's had installed it, I called them. There were several small to medium annoyances with the initial appointment: - They couldn't come out the same day, even though it was a sewer back-up. (small annoyance -- I understand they may have a busy schedule) - Their scheduling windows are very large. Reminds me of the early days of cable repairmen -- "Someone will be there between noon and 5pm." (medium annoyance -- it's a pain to have to stay home and wait all day) - When the plumber arrived, he didn't initally have the right tools because the scheduler hadn't told him it was a sewer pump. (medium annoyance -- the delay took up more of my time and money) Eventually, the problem seemed to be fixed. A houseguest had flushed some unflushable stuff down the toilet and the plumber removed those items from the pump. But two days later it backed up again. I called Soreano's and explained the problem. It seemed as if the plumber cleaned out the pump, but didn't clean out the line above the pump to remove anything that was just about to enter the pump and reclog it. The woman at Soreano's who answered the phone looked at our file and said that the plumber had cleaned it out and snaked the line. They would call me back in the morning to let me know what they could do. They called back to say the plumber had done his job and they weren't responsible for anything left in the line. They suggested they could come out again to unclog the pump. I pointed out that - they said they had snaked the line - I was with the plumber the whole time and he didn't have a snake - There is only about 12 feet of drain line above the pump, so it would be a simple matter to clean it out if it would have been done the first time. - After they had come out to do the repair, nothing that could clog the pump had been put down the drain. Ron Soreano (the owner) got on the line. I explained that I thought he should redo the work for free or at a reduced rate because it wasn't done completely the first time. He accused me of lying saying "How do I know someone hasn't put something else down the toilet that clogged it again?" and then lectured my about how "it's not fun work" to clean a sewer line because it's dirty and messy. I will not patronize a business that has such a failed view of customer service. And I won't use a plumber that whines about how dirty plumbing can be. read more

If you are looking for a plumber who would rather refund your money than to make a situation right.... This is your place! Soreano's has knowledgeable plumbers who seem to be able to deal with most situations... it's the guys back at the office who leave a bit to be desired. We had a faucet going bad, which we were informed was a warrantied replacement from Price-Pfister... groovy! Soreanos suggested the 'Porland' model, but the height was too low for my wife's use so she picked out the 'Alina' model, which was a similar cost. Comes the day for the faucet to be installed and they put in the 'Portland' instead, (so accuracy in product ordering is not a strong suit for them). For some reason they would rather just refund my money for installation (which was a touch on the steep side) than get the right part in and have a happy customer... Up to that point they were on for a four star review, But as they are in no way interested in basic customer service, they get what they get. Now I am stuck going out and buying a faucet that should have been a warrantied replacement and either installing it myself (not a confident plumber) or paying for a plumber to do the job... yeah, not Soreano's for sure. read more

I had an issue with an older American Standard toilet and I knew that the typical big box stores wouldn't have the needed parts for the repair. I went to their Seattle store location in Columbia City and spoke with Roger. He was extremely knowledgeable about the different parts, and provided great advice. The toilet was old, so several different parts in the toilet were compromised, so it required a few trips to Soreano's to get all the parts needed ... but I fixed the toilet. If you ever need some unique and/or older plumbing parts and want to speak to helpful and knowledgeable people that have been in the business for decades, then go straight to Soreano's. I've been going to Soreano's for many years now and they always provide me with great help! read more

We were in a bind and are so grateful for the help we got from Soreano's. We'd bought a new refrigerator, but the delivery people were unable to remove the old one because the water line was still hooked up. We had expected the shut off to be behind the fridge. It wasn't, so we were trying to schedule a plumber to install one. Our regular plumber didn't have any openings for weeks, so we were referred to Soreano's. I loved that we were able to talk to a person (instead of an answering machine) every time we called. Roger assured me that they could have someone come out soon, but after checking with the plumber realized that we probably didn't need to have a shut-off installed. According to Soreano's, the shutoff is usually anywhere BUT behind the refrigerator. (Good to know). We probably already had one, it was just a question of finding it. They gave me suggestions of where to look and what to look for. Once I found it (under the kitchen sink), they helped me to confirm it and told me which of the many knobs would shut off that line. They also told me how to cap off the end of the hose. Thanks to their excellent advice, my husband and I were able to disconnect the refrigerator ourselves, saving a lot of time and money (the minimum charge for having a plumber come out is hefty!). I had to call back several times, so I spoke to several people at Soreano's. They were all kind, helpful and patient. They didn't make a penny off of us, so I want to tell the world how great they are. They are the best!!!! read more

This review is for the plumbing parts store, not plumbing service. Ron Soreano was super nice, efficient and got the right stuff for me. Let me ask you a question. How many times have you got to a big box store, only to either: 1) Get bad advice 2) Get bad parts (such as angle valves that break after first use) 3) Waste a LOT of time trying to find what you want 4) Not find what you want b/c they either don't carry it or it's out of stock Soreano's has all the stuff you need. And they are all extremely experienced plumbers, so they know exactly what you need. Immediately. Ron actually gave me 4 parts. Do you think a big box store would ever give you parts? Never. A few years ago we bought a house with a badly installed garbage disposal. Every few months the pipes started leaking. We've had 2 plumbers and two handymen by to fix it. Each one had done a bad job cutting pipes, and the ring seals kept disintegrating. The previous time it broke, I went around trying to find a plumbing supply store that would cut a pipe for me. After trying Lowes and Home Depot, and something like 4 plumbing store stores, someone told me go to Soreano's, and the gent behind the counter looked at my pictures, said "the problem is, it's installed wrong but if you want I can cut the pipe to size for you." I figured that was a 7 dollar fix and I'd give it a try. He also didn't try to sell me them coming to fix it -- I wish he had, but I'm not going to take away a star for soft selling. As he predicted, it broke again, and I called them. They came the next day, did the job right, and charged us $250. It hasn't been a problem since. read more

Had Soreanos replace a toilet. 2 years later it started leaking. Not too helpful when we called. $250 charge just to show up we were told. We know it was 2 years later but we've never had a toilet last such a short amount of time and then we were surprised they weren't interested in working with us. They scheduled me five days out; gave me a 3 hour window (12-3 pm) during which they might appear; did NOT appear; called at 3;20 pm to say they were on the way; at 3:50 pm still not here... Sadly, Soreano's worked on a job for us that was patched together, and when the toilet broke (again), they are mysteriously gone. We've left two messages with them to bring them back in and they're not returning our calls. Terrible customer service, second rate service, overall disappointing. I called Beacon and Southwest Plumbing, but decided on Soreano's because I wanted to support a smaller, family company in the area. BAD IDEA!! At least with Soreano's. These guys have the worst customer service. I asked them to put in a new water heater, and while the plumber was at the house, I also asked him to adjust the bathroom toilet because it seemed to flush without much force and to adjust the bathtub faucet because the temperature ran colder than it normal did. Several hours and nearly $2,000 later, the job was finished, but instead of an efficient toilet flush, the toilet goes on and on for at least 39 seconds after each and every flush, and I've noticed my water bill is higher than it ever has been in the 10 years that we've lived here even though our consumption habits haven't been out of the norm. As for the bath tub water, it is scalding hot, which is entirely unsafe with two daughters in the house. The plumber did say it'd be a little hot, but there shouldn't be an option for SCALDING hot. I called immediately for it to be fixed to industry standards, and that was last January, right before the Super Bowl. It is more than 6 months later and there are STILL not fixed. I called and called for MONTHS, and no one comes no matter how many times they say they will send somebody. I am assuming they could care less, since the service is fully paid for. Soreano himself said twice when he answered my call, "Oh, looks like you had a payment plan!" WOW. Two payments of almost a grand each, paid in full within 7 weeks. (I pay off my VISA balance every month, so I asked to split the payment. If it was going to be a huge issue for him to use against me every single time I have to call there, he should've just said he needs payment in full the first time, which was feasible for me, too.) I bet that I will not get a follow up call from anyone there to fix their costly and unsafe mistakes since they haven't followed up after the multiple calls I've placed there since last January!! I am SO DISAPPOINTED in Soreano. I should have called Beacon Plumbing so I could stop freakin' after the fact, too!!! SO disappointing. read more

Wow, I am so surprised to see so many negative reviews! We have used Soreano's for years. They have always been prompt, courteous, helpful, and understanding. I have never in my life called a plumber in an emergency and had them show up within half an hour before Soreano's - which they have now done not once, but TWICE. Most recently, our hot water tank shit the bed and flooded our incredibly cluttered unfinished basement. I mean, the basement is FILLED with boxes (mainly of my stuff that has never been unpacked) and other stuff so that it is difficult to navigate even a few feet in any direction. My fiancé and I got up at 7, called Soreano's, and started plugging away at moving the sodden and smelly debris out of the way of the water heater. Mike from Soreano's showed up within half an hour of us calling and began HELPING US MOVE things, including heavy stuff like a mattress, so that he could get to the water heater. He climbed over things to turn it off immediately, and as soon as he had access, promptly got to work. Instead of leaving to go pick up a new hot water heater, he continued to help us clean up and called another Soreano's employee to bring us a new hot water heater. Within a couple hours (including the time he spent helping us to move things) he had a new hot water heater installed. He explained the whole thing to me while my fiancé was at the dump getting rid of the debris, and our total charge ended up being $1100 - this is including the hot water heater, his labor, and a 6-year warranty. Just called to find a rather obscure part for my sink, and was treated like I am an idiot. The guy actually told me, no that isn't possible, when I explained the problem I am having. Can't help but think he would not have talked like that to my boyfriend.. I offered to bring the faucet in for them to look at and the guy on the phone said, "ugh, I guess you can..." Applause is my word of choice for Eli and his team member who came and took care of everything that has to do with water at my condo. Replaced two toilets, changed all the doodads and thing a ma jigs that are attached to the sinks and the washing machine. They even installed a sensor under my sink that warns me of dishwasher or other leaks. I didn't even know you could do that! And to top it off, they showed me why the sagging sink in one of the bathrooms was about to hit the floor -- it was attached with two bolts to ..... the dry wall. Oh my. Can't believe it. They suggested I purchase a vanity and once I have that they'll install it. I'm calling them tomorrow and hope to see their smiles soon. read more

Soreano's is a family owned business in Columbia City. They are a great bunch of folks who really know their stuff. Professional and courteous... willing to go beyond the call of duty (time allowing)... I've even heard of pictures getting hung by the plumber for an elderly woman I talked to!! They even know all about OLDER plumbing and fixtures! They have parts that are not available ANYWHERE!! During busy times you may have to wait but they are worth it. They have not become one of those impersonal conglomerations that try to charge you a flat rate. They charge you fair prices at an hourly rate... you pay ACTUAL time worked instead of what someone thinks it should cost... AND it's the same rate on Mercer Island as it is in Seattle unlike SOME of those companies that pull out a "special book" determined by the average income for the neighborhood! read more

I went in twice and left detailed parts and instructions asks for a Grohe shower repair, talked to the plumber at length, showed them photos, and then heard nothing. For weeks. Then I called back and they said, "uh, we'll have to get back to you." Then nothing again, ever since (more than a month). This is for Grohe parts when they are a REGISTERED Grohe dealer. He gave me his cell # and said I could reach out any time if I had more questions. Cut to a week later and I just didn't have the tools (or patience) to do it, so I called them to come out. My friend recommended Soreano's when I thought our water heater had died. The guys were so nice and helpful when I called and were able to schedule a visit the next day (and said if you call before noon, they can usually get there that afternoon). Turns out I was able to relight the pilot light and our water heater is fine, so I called to cancel. Again, the guy was so nice and even gave me information about what to do if the pilot light goes out again and that it might be an easy/cheap thing to fix. We ended up not needing their services this time, but I will definitely call them again if I ever need any plumbing or water heater work! read more

Mike came out today for what I thought was a quick job and, after it turned out to be much more complicated than I could imagine, spent the morning getting it done. Awesome customer service!!!! Our kitchen faucet leaked again and even though they were filled up with appointments, they managed to send Mike out the same day I called. After checking out the faucet, he recommended a new, different one and replaced the faucet with a new one and was very thorough, efficient and quick and he didn't even charge for the service call or labor. We were so impressed with the customer service from the office to the plumber Mike....obviously they stand behind the products they sell. They made our holidays!!!! I cannot thank this company enough for their support and service to replace my toilet after I had a ridiculous quote from another company for repair. I called on Thursday and they listened to my concern about pricing and what I needed. The provided me guidance and options. I decided to replace my toilet. They gave me an estimate over the phone and scheduled me for today. They kept their word and called me first thing to let me know they had order my equipment and were on their way. Two hours later Brad had installed my new toilet. I had selected a standard toilet seat but decided I wanted an upgraded soft close seat which they did not have in the truck. Brad called and the delivered the upgraded seat within minutes. So glad I selected them. They are a hometown company that has been in business in south Seattle for years.
