And the best thing I like about this place is the vibe. When you come inside you immediately become a regular. They remember who you are, what you like, and they treat you like royalty. You can get wine, water or soda to drink, and theh always have something nice playing on the TV (usually a Cooking Channel, which immediately makes me hungry and also want to go home and cook). I fell in love with Annie because she does such an amazing job with dip powder nails. It's really important to me that my nails don't come out too thick or bubbly looking. I just let her know I wanted them thin and that I only wanted color powder (no base powder) and she knew exactly what to do. I didn't have to tell her to fix anything at all. She did everything the right way. I usually have to be watching out for nail technicians at other places who won't even take the time to make sure they cover the whole nail or that they don't cover my cuticles. It's stressful feeling like someone is waiting for you to not pay attention to their crappy work or that they hope that you will be too afraid to complain about it. But that wasn't an issue with Annie at all. She paid attention to detail and my nails came out beautifully. I had my toes painted black. She did a good job of making it look neat (which is really important with dark colors). If you want someone that won't force you into small talk, try Annie. She was polite, no rude comments. Oh the only thing that i found a bit strange was that the salon plays a Christian radio station for music. Not something I really want to be forced to listen to while I'm trying to relax.

I brought in a very clear inspo photo and even a backup option, but what I ended up with looked nothing like the design. The tech told me it was a different technique than what it actually was, used the wrong base color, and even after I showed the photo again they kept pushing forward instead of just being upfront about not being able to do it. The manager tried to fix it, but by then I'd already been sitting there for over an hour and had to settle for something much simpler just to make it to other plans. My total came to $145 for both my nails and a gel French pedi. While I understand that's on the higher end, I would have been fine with the cost if the service matched what I asked for. Instead, it felt like there was a real lack of transparency and communication. I wish they had just been honest from the start about not being able to replicate the inspo.
