I've never left a review for a place that provides service but I think it's about time I share my review about my favorite nail salon in ORL. I'm a Miami native, moved up here and had no clue where to start when looking for a new nail place. I came across MK nails through instagrams tags pages, booked an appointment and I'm happy to share from my very first experience (last august) up until today there has been no need to look elsewhere or "shop around" for a new nail spot in ORL. Kelly and her team are all so welcoming and very talented. I usually get my nails done with Kelly (owner of MK) and the service she provides is top of the line! The girl is talented! On top of that she is Uber patient and gives you her undivided attention. I always come in with Inspo pictures and whenever I'm indecisive she is always willing to help me figure it out and has never made me feel like a difficult person. Aside from her work ethic she has created a space where you can unwind, laugh, get pampered and feel at ease. Her work is ridiculously good! I will say she gets booked pretty quick so your best bet is to make an appointment with her. As I mentioned earlier her team (all of them are very talented) I've done solids and designs with them as well and they DELIVER every single time. When it comes to pricing they are very forward and honest. You will never get up charged out of Nowhere at least I haven't. I've always asked up front what something like this would cost (design) and they have always been honest. I think it's just as much on the client as it is on the person providing a service to communicate expectations and pricing. This team has provides that. read more

I went to the salon with my friend Andrea on July 12, 2025. I don't remember the lady's name that did my nails and pedicure. The first time at first it was very nice, but the manicure did not hold up at all. I had to go back and had Tina redo my nails, that was not also pleasant experience and it did not hold up. *UPDATE* I changed it to one star instead of two. One of my nails broke off a WEEK later, I am beyond upset. This hasn't happened at any other nail salon I've been to, only reason I went here is because it was late and all other salons were closed . I normally don't go on here to write many reviews but I wanted to put in my two cents about this place. I'll start with the pros first 1) I was a walk-in on a very busy day and they took me in in less than 20 minutes when they said it might be around 45 mins which I was happy about! 2) The overall look of the nails came out nice, he pretty much followed the reference I brought with me. The cons: 1) The man that was doing my nails was very rough and squeezing my nails HARD when filing, I've never had any other tech do that. He pressed the nail drill so hard onto my nail, it was burning and the side of my nail bled a tiny bit. When I got home I noticed how much all my nails hurt and I'm not happy. 2) Not so much having to do with the nails but how he treated me. When I first sat down he looked at me in a mean way almost like judging me right off that bat so I was really uncomfortable. Then after a while of doing my nails he looked at me for a long time and said something about my appearance that really hurt my feelings. I'm already a very anxious person and having my nail tech treat me that way just ruined my whole mood. Not a good experience here at all, wont be returning. Came to get my nails taken off (because I cannot have them at work) and Nail Tech Tina tried to rip my acrylics off without soaking them off and I had to correct her. She came at my nails with the drill at full speed ready to get me out of her chair. She drilled INTO my nail and skin and no apology was made until my nails were almost done. Not my first unpleasant experience last time I had my nails done by her, 2 broke off the next day. I usually love this salon but this is unacceptable. I really thought I was going to love this place. I had a wedding to go to, and was on instagram searching for a good nail salon I came across there instagram and messaged them before coming in to find out prices for a full-set and pedi. Which they claimed started at $40 and for a design an extra $5 and for a mid-long length an extra $5 as well... So after that I arrived everything was all good and I decided to just get a full-set once I already knew I was going to be running late to the wedding if I also did my feet and I found closed heels to wear anyway. I sit down after waiting for a few mins and get greeted by this older man who he going to be doing my nails. At first it was all good, until he seen my nails... YES , I am a "Nail Biter". So he see's my nails and looks at me crazy and says "So you bite your nails!" And I replied quickly with a "Yes, I do it's a bad habit I know" and he said this and looked at the lady next to me that was doing her nails as well and was saying "No good" and the lady next to me had to voice her opinion and said to me "Better not bite these off ahaha ha" and they continued to make lil comments. So moving forward I show him the picture I wanted which will be posted below as well. And then everything went quite from there. As a person with anxiety, and someone who doesn't speak much nor likes to make fake small talk with strangers telling them my whole business. He talked with the lady next to me. Which I DID NOT CARE at all I was actually happy he was. So when it came down to shaping my nails I wanted them mid-long. So he tells me "ok I'm going to cut you tell me when to stop" so begins and I said slim shorter about 3 - 4times but as he was doing this he looked at the lady next to me and made this shady laugh. Like look at this. Let me just say I have been getting my nails done for YEARS! And know how to wear them and have NEVER bite my (Full-sets) this wasn't my first time at all. So as someone who has anxiety and doesn't speak much I was hoping i didn't have to keep correcting his work on my nails as I take confrontation not so well and I'm not that confident to tell someone there doing there job wrong based and the reaction I might get. So he keeps telling me if I like the nails and I quickly and quietly say yes to he responds to me trying to speak Spanish saying "look look , look at it" . I don't speak Spanish but I just laugh and say yea ok. (I'm Hispanic) so I guess he assumed I did even though I was speaking English, but I guess he thought I spoke more Spanish and that's why I wasn't talking much idk. I felt very uncomfortable honestly. And I'm very sad to say this but because I bite my nails it seems as if he was in a rush and didn't care to do my nails perfect. So I had one design on my ring finger just a simple design and he did it and didn't wait not even a min to let them dry before putting clear coat over the design which made the paint smear and look HORRIBLE and didn't fix the design but just took a brush and cleaned off some of the smear part. Not even trying to redo the design. There was also hair in the black nail polish he used for my nails so he kept having to take off the hair from my nail and continuing painting it seemed his patience ran short and he just painted over one hair that was on my nail.. he also was so in a rush to get to his next client (I'm assuming) he put the black paint brush into the clear coat bottle. He even asked for another young guy who was there to finish putting the clear coat on my design nail and just walked away to his next client. My full set came out to $30 . Which is funny cause the person on Instagram stated the price for the shape I wanted was going to be $40+ I'm assuming they know they did a shit job and charged me less for it. I also gave him a $5 tip. Which I shouldn't have. But I did. Now look at my nails and tell me if you spot the fuck ups? I won't post them all here as I just wanted to post my experience doing my nails here not the actually fuck up on my nails itself. read more

I do not recommend this place unless you go straight to the girl in the second chair when you walk in or Chris. Other then that. GOODLUCK I've tried everyone in the nail salon. One lady left lumps all over my nail and blamed the powder. Then , they removed them did them over and they still looked awful. I don't usually complain -- but man I spent $75 to have lumpy nails and then wasted my time going twice. It was upsetting and ridiculous. I gave them various chances. read more

The gel on my nails only lasted 5 hours after getting them polished. The quality of the products and tools they use is not good. The gel light kept going off and looked very old. The lady had to "fix it" to where it would stay on. I will not be back. The pedi was ok. The water was cold and ready when I walked in. Brought my mom here because our usual salon was closed on Sunday. Happily they took us without a reservation. I really wanted to like it but I just couldn't. Mom hasn't had her nails done since May because of Covid. Her toenails were super long. She had to ask the lady multiple times to cut her nails shorter and they were still pretty long when we left. There were no tools coming out of any autoclave or disinfectant solution and they kept trading clippers back and forth. I had a mani-pedi with no polish. This is the first time my hands weren't soaked before clipping my nails. For the two of us we paid $67! So for no polish and no nail soak they charged me $30. Just to clip my nails. As much as the place looked clean on the surface, it wasn't- the restroom was gross with black mold in the toilet. This was a disappointing visit for sure. read more

But than i got acrylics for the first time in years the second time by Phong and like 5 fingers started lifting because he put the tips on bad and one popped off! Horrible. First time coming here because I saw good reviews. I make an appointment at 3:45 with my friend. When we come in they tell her to sit within 5 min of being there. I stay waiting. After 25 min a woman comes in and sits to wait. No more than 5 min later they attend to her and start doing her nails. At 4:20 they tell me they can begin with my nails, mind you my friends nails are already done. What is the point of making an appointment if they don't even follow it. I was a walk-in for a full acrylic set, they told me that it would be a 45 minute wait which i thought was a little long seeing as there were techs standing around doing nothing and not that many customers in the store. But I didn't say anything and I waited patiently. I sat waiting for an hour and a half. They took 3 walk-ins that came in after me almost immediately after they came in. I decided to get up and leave as I could see the nail techs trying to pretend like I wasn't there and no one had spoken to me since asking what service id like. Their nails look nice but this was an absolutely horrible first experience, doubt i'll be going back again. read more
