These were specially molded for each employee. My ears did not do well with them. We worked 4 -12 hour shifts. My ears would weep daily. On my days off, I'd try to soothe them. His job was to conduct my hearing test and provide the results to the VA, but he took the extra time to explain my results in detail, how my hearing has been decreasing, and some of the reasons why. He made sure I actually understood what was going on with my hearing instead of just completing the test and sending me on my way. As someone getting ready to retire from the military after 20 years of service, I really appreciated the extra time and effort he put into my appointment.
